This suggestion is a complement to the previous 3 suggestions I have made that are the Chilean air, naval and Helicopter subtree for Israel, for the history and details please check out the other 3 suggestions within the forum.
History between Chile and Israel
During the 1970s Chile was going through very tense moments with its 3 neighbors (Argentina, Bolivia and Peru) that had territorial claims and like Israel at the time Chile was politically alone and surrounded by belligerent countries and because Chile was under the government of Dictator Augusto Pinochet accused of crimes against humanity, the country was under an embargo on military purchases. Chile was interested in buying European tanks but no country was willing to sell weapons to Chile for fear of losing its good relations with the United States.
This is how Chile turned to Israel, which accepted the request for help. Thus, in 1977, Chile and Israel signed a contract for the purchase of various Israeli tanks, M-51 and M-50 Super Shermans arriving in Chile (both models would later be modified in Chile), and many 60mm IMI HVMS cannons were purchased, Chile being its only user and arming the M24 Chaffee and M-50 with this powerful anti-tank cannon, in this way experienced Israeli instructors traveled to Chile to train the Chilean crews, and created a new doctrine for the Chilean armored forces.
In the air field, Israel was also willing to sell the Shafrir II Air-to-Air Missiles to Chile, which would be the main air means to be able to confront the fighters of Chile’s neighbors and installing these missiles on the Hawker Hunter and F-5 Tiger II that in those years were the best fighters in Chile. Fortunately, the almost wars that were going to occur, mainly with Argentina, were resolved diplomatically at the last second.
After these historic events, Chile would not forget the help that Israel gave it in difficult times, which is why they continued to cooperate in the field of military purchases and modifications, mainly in Chilean fighters. Currently, a large amount of Chilean military equipment is made up of Israeli weapons (assault rifles, missiles, howitzers, mortars, rocket artillery, military vehicles) and an agreement was signed between both countries to expand defense cooperation.
As a curiosity within the game there is a Chilean camouflage for one of Israel’s tanks, specifically the premium M-51, so there is already a link between the two countries in the game.
Disclaimers:
- Not necessarily all the vehicles from the following list must be added, they can be chosen according to the convenience of the tree in which it would be implemented and moved as necessary. It was ordered in the best way I found possible.
- The BR of this tree represent the realistic game mode.
- Some data may not be 100% accurate, also some sources may contradict in some aspects such as technical specifications, basically I did what I could with what I found, if anyone has more information I would appreciate it if you share it in the comments section.
(Israel’s new I-III tanks are part of the forum suggestion made by @CaID and the image shows what the new Israel tree could look like with those new tanks and with the Chilean sub-tree.)

Sherman M4A1E9
- Description:
- In 1952, a total of 17 Sherman tanks of the M4A1E9 version with a radial engine, which ran on 100/110 octane white gasoline, arrived in Chile. They were updated, rebuilt and modernized by Chrysler. Part of the process was the installation of the so-called “spaced suspension”, which gave them the E9 designation. Grouser extenders were installed to increase track width. The E9 modification included wider track protective fenders and “fender clamps”, they also had additional armor on the sides that can be easily seen from the outside (where the ammunition magazines are located), on the right side of the mantlet (protecting to the gunner and commander). They were in service for some decades in Chile. They were finally decommissioned in the 1970s. Special variant not found in the game.

Leopard 2A4 CHL (MCS)
- Description:
- In 2015, a FibroTex package was installed in a Leopard 2A4CHL of the Chilean army. The kit tested was called “multispectral cloak” and was intended to be deployed on mobile and static platforms. The kit does not protect against attack but provides electro-optic mimicry and protection against electromagnetic detection, which helps make the tank much more difficult to detect and therefore not as easily prey to anti-tank missiles or other infrared-guided devices (SWIR) or thermal systems. This new version of the Chilean Leopard also includes the most powerful Israeli M322 ammunition that penetrates up to 589 mm.

Leopard 2 CHL (Proaco)
- Description:
- In 2023, Chile signed a contract with Turkey’s Aselsan for the modernization of Chilean Leopard 2A4 tanks under the Proaco Project. Work began in 2024 and the first images of the turret of a modernized Chilean Leopard 2A4 were seen during a TRT World report. The modernization includes a new Volkan-II fire control system, last generation periscopes for the commander and gunner, last generation thermal sights, new driver’s vision system, 360⁰ Situational Awareness System, Laser Warning Receiver, SARP Remote Controlled Weapon Station, Electric Gun & Turret Drive System, these would be the confirmed improvements, We will have to wait for more images to be revealed to confirm if some type of additional armor and even an APS will be integrated, but everything seems to indicate that these last 2 improvements would be added that will increase the survivability of the tank.
