caid’s suggestion #144

I would like to make the most needed suggestion for Israel. the Rank 1, 2 & 3

For me having Israel starting at rank 4 is simply doom to discourage the players from playing Israel. right now the requirement to play Israel is to have unlocked a rank 4 vehicle from the UK, USA, France, or Russia. which from the start it kind of pushes them away.

Israel does not have much to offer for the rank 1-2-3, in its tree. they have much more interesting vehicles in the later rank. it’s a modern army and the country was created after most of the vehicles found in rank 1-2-3 were withdrawn from service. but this does not mean they do not have what it need to get to the game. they do have a lot of interesting vehicles for the early ranks. they definitively have enough vehicles to make a tech tree

While most of those vehicles are from the 50s, the technology behind them isn’t advanced. Israel and the Middle East in general were about 15 years late for the military armament. WW2 didn’t particularly make this part of the world need advanced military equipment yet. it was in the mid-50s when they started to catch up. in 1948, the best tanks of the region were the Cromwell and the Sherman. and there were very small numbers. the country around Israel didn’t have much better. they mostly fielded obsolete WW2 tanks which were sometimes withdrawn before the end of WW2 by the major powers. Israel didn’t have anything substation to match the major power a few decades after the formation of their country, neither was their hostile Neighbor. As such, they offer an interesting range of vehicles from the late 40s and early 50s that are comparable to the vehicles from the mid-30s and early 40s.

Formed in 1948, Israel immediately fielded a large armored force to fight their neighbor and define their border. the Formation of Israel was not without violence and fight. in 1948, Israel did not do much in terms of tanks. a dozen French Hotchkiss tanks, a handful of Sherman, and a few captured tanks. most of their armored forces were made of modified trucks that act as APC and patrol vehicles as well as a lot of M3 & M4 half-track who were decommissioned and rearmed before being put into Israeli services.
while this sounds boring for most nations, they had modified a lot of those vehicles with whatever they could find. most of those vehicles was modified in a way they are not going to feel out of place amounts of the WW2 vehicles. they are neither having crazy modern firepower, advanced armor, or outstanding mobility. they are for most of them, just rudimentary and basic vehicles with armament and technology that was available in WW2. Over half of them are unique to Israel.

Just have a look at what it could look like

the unaware eyes will look at this tree and see “Sherman-Sherman-Sherman” and conclude it’s a copy-paste tech tree. but fear not as only 2 of those sherman are actual copy-paste. 3 is already a lot. but there are 6 other Sherman who are unique Israeli-made vehicles whose performance and armament are completely different than what we know. 5 other Sharman-based SPG are there and only 2 can be found in the other three.

the Tech tree i propose contains 14 copy paste for 27 unique vehicles.
of those 9 are Sherman medium tanks with significant modifications making them spread in a BR from 2.7 to 5.0. an additional 6 SPG are based on the SHerman of which 2 are copy-paste.
9 of those vehicles are based on the Halftrack from the M3/M4 family. of which only 1 is a copy-paste. they are spread from BR 1.0 to BR 5.3
in overall, about 40% of the tech tree is copy-paste. if we remove those who are premium, we reduce the copy-past to 28% which is acceptable in my opinion. it is also possible to reduce it further but that would be at the cost of the line-up. On the opposite, some others could also be added, but it would make it seem redundant.

the same sort of situation happens all over. the M3 Halftract are all unique except for 1. The Cromwell too is unique to Israel. I try to keep the number of copy-paste at the lowest and put forward the most unique vehicles.
for the low-rank Israeli tech tree, the bulk of the force will be 2 families of vehicles. the Sherman and the M3 halftrack. those will be the base of most of the Israeli early rank just like the T-34 and KV was the base of the Russian early rank or the Panzer 3 and Panzer 4 was the base of the German early rank. while the Americans are based on the Sherman and Stuart for their early rank, this will already feel a fair bit different than what we find in the other tech tree even if some vehicles are similar to what we find elsewhere.

The Israeli low rank is Very important as for now starting in the Israeli tech tree is just awful for serial reasons.

  • start with a single-vehicle
  • Crew untrained
  • the modifications are all to research
  • Only a single other vehicle to research to add in your line-up
  • every vehicle to research is costly in RP
  • every modification to research is costly in RP
  • No flexibility to adapt your gameplay to the different circumstances.
  • The Reserve planes are also ineffective.
  • No line-up for the rank 6.0 at all (and can’t get much from vehicles slightly lower BR to help)
  • The requirement of having a rank 4 vehicles from another nation forces the player to have the choice to keep grinding the nation they already played or grind a nation they have nothing without crew painfully unskilled a single and no line-up
On average it will take about 40 battles with an obsolete Sherman alone to unlock just an SPAA that will give you something like a backup and about 60 more battles to unlock an M109 which is just starting to give you some flexibility. but this is far from enough. We are talking about 100 battles just to have a lineup that remains awful. then you got to jump to another BR which is just slowly starting to offer some flexibility and some fun. still, you are an untrained crew and still need an additional 100 battles to get it. it’s just awful.

the addition of the earlier rank solves about every of that issue

  • give an early line-up comparable to those found in the other three
  • allow your crew to be trained from the beginning and aced right away on the early vehicles
  • allow a smoother grinding
  • the modification will be at the same cost as any modification for the vehicles found at the same BR in the other Tech tree.
  • give more flexibility when arriving at rank 4
  • When arriving at rank 4, your crew will be naturally trained at least a bit.
  • you will have the possibility to back your M-51 with a tank of lower BR but still capable in order to keep fighting
  • you will have a vehicle adapted for most situations and playstyles

as there is already a rank 4 to 8, I built a tech tree with the consideration of the current tech tree and made it in a way It seems to make a logical research path. of course, this is simply my personal view on the matter and could be changed if Gaijin also sees it fit. i also set the BR based on my knowledge of the game balance and try to not look at the situation with pink glass. i do my best to be as close to reality as possible but I do not exclude having the wrong estimation of the Battle Rating. those are rather small issue that can be fix by Gaijin’s evaluation of the BR or when the Balance is reviewed and the BR is adjusted.

so let’s talk about the different vehicles. I will neither go by rank nor by line, I will just present the vehicles according to their type so the reader can decide where it eventually stands. I will give a quick introduction to the vehicle and its performance as well. for more info. just look at the interactive tech tree I built. by clicking on this link, you will see an interactive tech tree with all the vehicles. by clicking on the vehicles you will see the vehicle itself, its performance, and its history.

List of vehicles

Actual tanks

The H39 & Pz.Kpfw. 38H

this tank was a French infantry tank from WW2. it was designed in 1935. Israel ordered a handful of them from France and made one of the earliest tanks Israel had in service. but in 1948, they were just obsolete and soon withdrawn from service.

two versions can be found (both appear in the picture) and this tank can be a good reserve vehicle

Armament : 37mm SA38 with 45mm of penetration at combat distance
mobility : 36 km/h with average acceleration
protection : about 40mm of armor in average, little weakness, small size, a small crew

M22 Locust

while we have no image of the Locust in actual Israeli services, we have many images of Knocked M22 being captured by Israel and the IDF archive has a record of the M22 being in services (which we had access to) the tank was captured during the fight in 1948. it was used by Egypt during those times and Israel used 4 of those after their capture. they were fully working and waiting for small upgrades which never came as the war ended. They were never fielded in battle.

Firepower: 37mm M6, with 75mm of penetration at combat distance
Mobility: 57 km/h with a very fast acceleration
protection: 25mm at the front, weak on the side, very small

M4A2 “Meir”

this tank is one of the very first Israeli tanks. it was acquired by Israel even before Israel existed. the 75mm was disabled so they just fit a 20mm inside the barrel so they can still fight. it was used in battle in 1948. it end up been knocked off and destroyed in battle.

Firepower: 20mm Hispano-Suiza, Fast fire, 60 or 30 rounds magazine, 40mm of penetration at combat distance (up to 50 up close)
Mobility: 38 km/h with a decent acceleration
protection: 63mm on the front decently sloped, 38mm on the side, fairly large target, 5 men crew

Sherman Krupp

many may not have noticed it, but this tank has a 75mm Krupp M1903 gun which can be identified by the different barrel. 6 of those were modified by Israel in 1948 as the Sherman they got was without a working gun. they were built in early 1949 after the Israeli war. the turret had no powerdrive which made it slow to turn and had the M52 gun-mount which had a better elevation.

Firepower: 75mm Krupp M1903, 55mm of penetration at combat distance with APHE
Mobility: 38 km/h with decent acceleration
protection: 63mm on the front decently sloped, 38mm on the side, fairly large target, 5 men crew

Sherman M1916

this tank is very likely another Israeli modification to have a working tank as the Sherman had the gun disabled before Israel could get them. this tank had the 75mm M1916 which is a rather uncommon US gun used in WW1. the turret had no powerdrive which made it slow to turn.

Firepower: 75mm M1916 with 70mm of penetration at combat distance using APHE
Mobility: 38 km/h with decent acceleration
protection: 63mm on the front decently sloped, 38mm on the side, fairly large target, 5 men crew

Dagem Bet (M-4)

not to be mistaken with the M4 medium tank, the M-4 is an M4 with 105mm that was put together by Israeli mechanics which explains why it does not exactly look like the standard M4 with 105mm. in overall, it would have the same performance. which sort of makes it a copy-paste. Israel used a lot of those from 1949

Firepower: 105mm M4 with 130mm of penetration at any distance using HEAT, rather slow reload
Mobility: 42 km/h with decent acceleration
protection: 63mm on the front decently sloped, 38mm on the side, fairly large target, 5 men crew

M-3

The Dagem Alef (early) later called M-3 where M4 (105) was retrofitted with a 75mm M3. it will differ from the regular Sherman with the same gun in the absence of a stabilizer and power drive for the turret as the 105mm was unstabilized and didn’t have the powerdrive and Israel didn’t have the stabilizer when they installed the gun. the later Sherman which was imported from France usually model M4A3T or M4A4T was stabilized. both tanks had the same name, but the stabilizer and powerdrive allowed us to separate the Early and late Version.

Firepower: 75mm M3 with 90mm of penetration at combat distance using APHE, stabilized
Mobility: 42 km/h with decent acceleration
protection: 63mm on the front decently sloped, 38mm on the side, fairly large target, 5 men crew

Cromwell Hybrid

this tank was a Cromwell III with the turret of a Cromwell IV. This was done as they had to make do with what they had. Israel had acquired 2 Cromwell (one of each) from a defective British soldier who ran those tanks to the Israeli forces. the tanks were probably damaged in combat which explains the hybridation.

Firepower : 75mm OQF Mk.V with 90mm of penetration at combat distance using APHE
Mobility : 52 km/h with fast acceleration
protection : 63mm on the front decently sloped, 25mm on the side, fairly large target, 5 men crew

M-50 Mk.I

Early production variant of the M-50 from 1955. It performed better against enemy armor than anything else the Israelis had, but it still kept the old Continental engine and VVSS suspension. for balance purposes, I suggest not giving this one the PCOT-51P and only giving it the POT-51A so the Mk.II would feel much superior. but in reality, the tank had the rounds. it’s just a proposition to create an artificial difference in the firepower.

Firepower : 75mm SA50 with 160 mm of penetration at combat distance
Mobility : 38 km/h with slightly slow acceleration
protection : 63mm on the front decently sloped, 38mm on the side, fairly large target, 5 men crew

M-50 Mk.II

The M-50 Mk.II is the second batch of M-50s featuring a new Cummins engine and HVSS suspension which provides better mobility and range

Firepower : 75mm SA50 with 180 mm of penetration at combat distance
Mobility : 42 km/h with slightly slow acceleration
protection : 63mm on the front decently sloped, 38mm on the side, fairly large target, 5 men crew

M-1 Super-Sherman

officially know just as the Super-Sherman, it was imported to Israel in 1956, those tanks were a stopgap to beef up the Israeli armored force. it was an M4 medium tank With a 76mm gun, HVSS suspension, and a few minor local modifications

Firepower : 76mm M1 with 175 mm of penetration at combat distance using APCR, Stabilized
Mobility : 38 km/h with slightly slow acceleration
protection : 63mm on the front decently sloped, 38mm on the side, fairly large target, 5 men crew

Degem Yud

This tank is a M-50 Mk.II which the hull was modified to give a lower profile closer to the T-55 used by the neighboring country. the modification was made around 1965 (maybe as early as 1962) and only remains as a prototype

Firepower: 75mm SA50 with 180 mm of penetration at combat distance
Mobility: 42 km/h with decent acceleration
protection: 63mm on the front decently sloped, 38mm on the side, average size target, 5 men crew

PT-76B

Captured in 1967, at least 6 of those tanks were used by the IDF in the Amphibious Battalion 88 “Dov Lavan”. those tanks were slightly modified by Israel, but those modifications would be noticed by most players.

Firepower : 76mm D-56TS with 200 mm of penetration at any distance with HEAT-FS, stabilized
Mobility : 44 km/h with good acceleration, Amphibious
protection : 15mm about all over, slightly small size target, 3 men crew

Churchill III, Jewish Brigade

this tank was not used by Israel. but it was used by the men who founded the IDF. it was a British tank from WW2 in the services of the Jewish soldier recruited in Palestine (now Israel) and at the services of the British army.

Firepower : 57mm 6pdr OQF Mk.V with 110 mm of penetration at combat distance
Mobility : 28 km/h with slow acceleration
protection : 89mm about all over, Fairly big target, 5 men crew

Wheeled or Halftrack tanks

M3 Scotti

this rather unique vehicle was a field modification made by Israel in 1948 to give their armored units (mainly using half-track APC) some firepower to deal with other armored vehicles. two were made with non-standard features and slightly different from each other. one likely served in the Battalion 7

This vehicle could be a decent reserve

Armament: 20mm Scottie-IF 20/70, high fire rate, 12 rounds magazine, 30mm of penetration at combat distance
Mobility: 72 km/h. decent acceleration, turn causes a lot of speed lost
Armor: 12-6 mm all over, open top.4 men crew.

M3 Breda

this rather unique vehicle was a field modification made by Israel in 1948 to give their armored units (mainly using half-track APC) some firepower to deal with other armored vehicles.

Marmon-Herrington Mk.4F (SA38)

Captured during the Fight of 1948, a few Marmon-Herrington Mk.4F was modified to receive the 37mm SA38 gun harvest from the H39. the reason of this modification might be the lack of ammunition or the original gun been damaged.

Armament : 37mm SA38 with 45mm of penetration at combat distance
mobility :84 km/h with decent acceleration
protection : 6 to 12 mm, small size, 3 men crew

Daimler MK.II

Captured during the fight of 1948, those armored cars were used by the IDF for a couple of years.

Mobility: 72 km/h. decent acceleration, turn causes a lot of speed lost
Armor: 12-6 mm all over, open top.4 men crew.

M5 (37)

this vehicle is particular. it’s a heavily modified Israeli Multi-turreted half-track light tank. it’s something that can be found nowhere else.

Armament: 37mm M6 with 75mm of penetration at combat distance
mobility: 68 km/h with decent acceleration
protection: Armour of 12-6 mm all over, open top.4 men crew.

Marmon-Herrington Mk.4F “The Terrible Leopard”

https://i.imgur.com/iCb7KHJ.png
a sort of hero vehicle. it was a Marmon-Herrington Mk.4F captured during the fight of 1948 and having eyes painted on it when put in the Israeli services. it was pretty effective but not any different than the other Marmon-Herrington Mk.4F in service. it was just more recognizable.

Armament: 40mm OQF 2-pounder with 60mm of penetration at combat distance
mobility: 84 km/h with decent acceleration
protection: 6 to 12 mm, small size, 3 men crew

Self-propelled anti-aircraft

Armament : 2x 13.2mm Hotchkiss Mle 1929, high fire rate, 2x 20 rounds magazine, with 25mm of penetration at combat distance
mobility : 68 km/h with decent acceleration, turning will cause a lot of speed reduction
protection : Armour of12-6 mm all over, open top.4 men crew.

F60

this vehicle is an Israeli modification of CMP Ford F60 into an armored car with Sandwich armour built in 1948. this particular version mounts a 20 mm Scottie-IF 20/70 to provide anti-tank capacity and at the same time, it offers an AA capacity which would make it more efficient as SPAA than TD or light tank.

Armament : 20mm Scottie-IF 20/70, high fire rate, 12 rounds magazine, 30mm of penetration at combat distance
Mobility : 70 km/h. decent acceleration, turn causes a lot of speed lost

M16A1
https://i.imgur.com/SfA5UPY.jpg
this vehicle is almost identical to the Ingame M16 MGMC. it was not modified by Israel. the only difference is the chassis has been based on the M4 half-track instant of the M3

Armament : 4x 12.7mm M2HB, high fire rate, 4x 200 rounds magazine, with 25mm of penetration at combat distance
mobility : 72 km/h with decent acceleration, turning will cause a lot of speed reduction

Tank destroyer & Self Propelled gun

M3 HS404

this vehicle is a M3 half-track with a 20mm HS 404 gun mounted on it. it was not intended to be used as anti-aircraft and has limited traverse which makes it ill-suited to track aircraft. it was designed to give the early Israeli armored units some anti-tank capacity. This modification was made in 1948 in many small variations and fairly large numbers. it remained in service until the 70s.

Armament : 20mm HS404, high fire rate, 30 or 60 rounds magazine, limited traverse, with 40mm of penetration at combat distance
mobility : 72 km/h with decent acceleration, turning will cause a lot of speed reduction
protection : Armour of 12-6 mm all over, open top.4 men crew.

M3 6-pounder SP

While similar to what we could find in the USA, this vehicle is an Israeli modification of 1948. it was a m3 Halftrack with a static 57mm gun mounted on it to make it a self-propeller anti-tank gun.

Armament : 57mm 6pdr OQF Mk.III with 100 mm of penetration at combat distance
mobility : 72 km/h with decent acceleration, turning will cause a lot of speed reduction

M7

this tank is a well know WW2 American artillery tank. Israel imported 40 of those in 1960 to serve as artillery support tanks.

Armament : 105mm M2A1 with 130 mm of penetration at any distance using HEAT
mobility : 38 km/h with fairly good acceleration
protection : 52-38 mm with many weaknesses on the upper part, open top.7 men crew.

M-10

imported from the British WW2 supply in 1951, this tank was intended to be an Israeli tank destroyer before they decided to go with the M-50. 27 of those were imported. they finally served in ‘GASHAP’ units, which are Independent Armoured Battalions such as GASHAP 182

Armament : 76mm M7 with 130 mm of penetration at combat distance using APHE
mobility : 38 km/h with decent good acceleration
protection : 52-25 mm, open top. 5 men crew.

M10 (SA50)

the M10 has been considered as obsolete and lacks the proper firepower to fight modern tanks. the IDF seeks to improve its firepower by the installation of the 75mm SA50 gun with the Help of France to upgrade their 27 M10 tank destroyer. France seizing the opportunity to secure an even better contract offered Israel to upgrade their larger fleet of Sherman with the same gun instant. making the M10 seem useless compared to the M-50. this modification on the M10 was made in 1953 and remained a prototype.

Firepower : 75mm SA50 with 180 mm of penetration at combat distance
mobility : 38 km/h with decent good acceleration
protection : 52-25 mm, open top. 5 men crew.

Archer

during the combat of 1956, Israel captured 40 Archer tanks which 30 were possible to repair and 6 were in perfect working order. those tanks saw very little service in the IDF. it was intended to be used in the “GASHAPs” units but the introduction of the M-10 made them unneeded.

Firepower : 76mm QF 17-pounder with 170 mm of penetration at combat distance
mobility : 32 km/h with decent good acceleration
protection : 20 mm of armor all over, open top. 4 men crew.

M-50 155 SP

unique Israeli tank built in 1964 with the help of France. it was a SPG conversion of the M-50 tanks who was at the edge of being withdrawn from services. they were used in the reserve artillery. in 1968, another version with a Cummings engine and HVSS suspension was introduced. a pretty large number were built.

Firepower : 155 mm L’Obusier de 155 Modèle 1950 with 64 mm of penetration at any distance with HE rounds
mobility : 45 km/h with decent acceleration
protection : 50-38 mm of armor all over, open top. 8 men crew.

L-33 Ro’em

build in the late 60s in large numbers. this tank was the real artillery tank for the IDF until the M109 was put into service. it was built on the chassis of the obsolete M-50

Firepower : 155 mm M68 with 61 mm of penetration at any distance with HE rounds
mobility : 36 km/h with slightly slow acceleration
protection : 50-38 mm of armour all over. 8 men crew.

Zil-157 MAR-240

build from a captured Zil-157 in 1967, this vehicle refitted the MAR 240 rocket launcher to turn this vehicle into an MLRS.

Firepower :12x MAR-240 with 72 mm of penetration at any distance with HE rounds
mobility : 65 km/h with slightly slow acceleration
protection : about no armour all over. 2 men crew.

for the Air Force, there is not much to do, this suggestion does not affect it. I would recommend that Gaijin move the Sakeen to rank 3 (alone) keep it as reserve and make it unlocked when the player gets a first rank 2 aircraft of any nation. after all, it’s just at the BR 3.3 and is not far off the Rank 2 standard.

It looks good. +1

What does the air tree look like? I see it looks limited based on what you said. If it doesn’t have comparable ranks, I don’t think it would be added unfortunately because I think they would want to match the Ranks due to Air and Ground being cohesive in-game.

PLEASE! Make it a full tech tree!

+1 A much needed completion of the Israeli Tech Tree!

A big +1 from me, it’s been a long time since Israel should have had its ranks I-III and in this way be able to move the TCM-20 to rank III for example, also currently new players who want to play immediately with Israel cannot do so due to the condition of having at least 1 Tier 4 vehicle from the main nations so this could be a possible solution. I also want to emphasize that in this way the fifth line of the Chilean or Turkish sub-tree could be included for Israel, which for me are the best candidates since they have vehicles of all ranges. Let’s hope that Gaijin implements it and excellent work. something like this could be seen with the I-III ranks as well as with a Chilean subtree:

something like that

not much material but at least they will cover every ranks
most of the rank 1 are trainer planes but they would still work in the game.

Looks like the Israeli Tree already, I can see it happening now lol. +2

I’ve said it before, at least Rank III should have been added since day 1. Ranks I/II don’t really have any substantial lineups except maybe 3.7
Also some BR notes, for GRB:
M14 is essentially an M13. The 13.2s might be a bit worse (maybe) but still probably 1.3 at least (M13 is 1.7).
M3 (6pndr) is the SU-57, and 2.3
Degem Alef is 5.0, it’s the M4A4 (SA50). Degem Bet and Yud also should be .3 higher accordingly. I’d also swap their positions with the M-1 with these BR changes (M-4, M-1, Degem Alef/Bet in folder)
M-4 is just the M4A3(105) and is 3.0.
Cromwell III is essentially just a Cromwell V and is 3.3.
Churchill III is 4.0.
M50 (Achilles) is too low IMO
M3 DEFA is also way too low, should be like 6.0. It’s basically a bigger M56!

I would also like to recommend a few more vehicles:
M3 TCM-23

Another M-50, potentially based on an M4 Hybrid as a premium option. Pretty much every M4 model was used for M-50s but the M4 (Hybrid) was particularly common, third after the M4A3 and M4A4, and so it being a premium would be nice like the premium M-51 (M4 Hybrid)

Captured T-34s? Might be good filler if needed

The Israeli air force of the I-III ranges is not too big as you can see in this suggestion , but a possible solution is a Chilean Air Forces Sub-Tree that has a lot of material in those ranges so Chile could be the salvation of the Israeli air tree in the low ranges, this way the Israeli land and air tree could be implemented without problems

Yes, please! Was very disappointed when the Israel tree came with no early ranks. So what if there are many copy/paste vehicles, the China tree got plenty of them at lower ranks, so why no love for Israel?

those are good vehicles. but i overlook the M-50 hybrid because there are already 2 of them and the Degem Yud. i had the feeling it would be a bit of redundancy. especially since there are already 8 variants of the Sherman that work as medium tanks. the other were not listed because I feel like they would fit more at the Rank 4.

For the premium M-50, the reasoning is

  1. The M-50 is pretty much the Israeli tank, after maybe the Merkava. Can’t really be too many IMO. And atm there’s only 3- 2 TT and a prototype premium.
  2. Pretty much every hull type was used to make M-50s. I’d advocate for the M4A4 for the Degem Alef as it was most common for that model and already modelled in-game, and the M4A3 for the Degem Bet as it was most common for its model and would give a bit extra armour over the Alef. The M4 Hybrid then would be (relatively) unique as a cast Sherman vs the small-hatch and large-hatch welded M-50s. Plus it could potentially be a Degem Bet at 5.0, being a bit faster than the Alef but with less armour.
  3. There’s no conventional premium between the Churchill III (4.0) and Degem Yud (5.7), so I’d think a 5.0 would be great especially as 5.0/5.3 is the first really solid lineup you’d get

actually it’s a hybrid cromwell IV and III. and it would have access to APCBC HE rounds like those used on by the sherman.

with lower mobility, a taller profile, lower velocity rounds, and weaker rounds. the SU-57 has its best round as an APCBC-HE while the Israeli one only has a solid shot that best matches the penetration but it’s only once you reach it. the SU-57 is already just ok at his BR. I think the Israeli one will be even weaker which justifies the lower BR.

the turret has limited elevation, the guns have 20 rounds magazines and the gunner is exposed. the P.7.T AA is at 1.3 and has twice the ammo and firepower. that is why I set it at 1.0

yeah, this tech tree was made before they raised his BR.

maybe, it can always be adjusted once we see how it fares. I based my estimation on the Ikv 103 who have a bigger gun, less mobility, and a longer reload. it also relies on HEAT rounds which give me a clue how his effectiveness could be. I assume the faster reload and higher velocity would change the effectiveness. I doubt it would reach 6.0.

higher mobility, new suspension, a new engine, addition of the smoke launcher justify the BR being a little higher.

Do you mean the M10 SA50? it’s almost the same as the Achille. so I put it at the same BR. if it fares better it can be adjusted.

I am not excluding being wrong about the BR in general, it is just an estimate and nothing final. Gaijin is the one who decides what BR they give it. the only reason I set a BR is to help people to visualize a potential line-up to their liking. I tend to build my line-up with different BR because some vehicles are still useful even at higher BR. so I take all that with a pinch of salt. at least until they are added.

Even with APHE I don’t think it’d deserve over 3.7. The Chaffee is also 3.7, and the T-34s only go up to 4.0.

The M4A4 SA50 is literally an M-50 Degem Alef, specifically the second prototype of the vehicle. It has the same M4A4 hull, R-975 engine, transmission, HVSS suspension, and everything else as the Degem Alef. Unless you meant that the Degem Bet and Yud should be higher than the Alef/M4A4 SA50? That I agree with. They’d be 5.0, 5.3, and 5.7. And as such it makes more sense to me to put the M-1 before the M-50s instead of between them or after where it’s at a lower BR than the Degem Bet.

i am currently reviewing the topic itself. i will adjust the BR as well.

but I think the Cromwell is an underrated vehicle. it has good mobility and good armor. it can be effective in a game.

by mistake I deleted the main topic for a moment. i recovered it but I think I lost the pool.
