I support Altay as part of a turkish subtree to Israel, would bolster the top tier lineup and give a nice, non-C&P alternative to the Merkava and allow for more turkish representation within the game
Great idea bar this part, gaijin will fervently disagree
Gaijin vs modelling unqiue tech tree vehicles is certainly a battle of all time lol
It is really far fetched at this point. Not only there is zero Israeli involvement in Altay, Turkish-Israeli relations are not in the best shape. Best thing to do to Israeli tree right now is fix glaring issues of Merkava, addition of remaining Sabra variants and light vehicles. There is also better contenders for Israeli Sub-Tree.
Genuinely who? As far as geo politics go right now every nations kinda upset with each other.
Where else would we put turkey, like genuinely asking, they surely wouldnt goto the US due to the size of usa (i say this due to the ambt)
Germany is apparently getting switzerland.
Russia not even sure who they would get but the trees huge.
Britian got india and south africa for some reason.
The list goes on, italy maybe? Realistically spain would of been better in italy than hungry
I would say Chile suits much better than Turkey considering there is/was quite a bit cooperation between both nations. @Chilean_Thunder’s Chilean Ground Forces Sub-tree shows it pretty good in my opinion.
Alternatively, Israel could get its export solutions: @ofekk213 made a quite extensive rework you might want to check.
Simple, its own tree. People have their opinion like Israel, Italy or US but none of them has enough justification. Turkey offer quite large tree and can support it with thriving defence industry. You can check our Turkish Ground Forces Tech Tree suggestion; we can discuss it further under it.
Here how it looks like in current version.
I would rather see Iberian Tech Tree or Spanish Tree with Portugal being part of it similar to Swedish Tech Tree.
I mean they could of done something similar with britain or at least given its indigenious stuff.
Id genuinely like to see a more iberian region TT added, portugal, spain, etc.
Rather than this mix and mash of stuff rammed everywhere.
Genuinely agree, however, im sure gaijin mentioned somewhere that they wont be added any new trees to the game only sub trees tho I may be mistaken.
Never thought of chile but we do have the chilean Kfir so that could be a nice sign for the future.
%100 agree
I cannot recall such statement but anyways; pray and do our best nothing else we can do.
They tend to go back on what they say anyways man so will never really know will we.
Serial Production of Altay T1 Main Battle Tank has started at Ankara Uzay ve Havacılık İhtisas Organize Sanayi Bölgesi (Ankara Aerospace and Aviation Specialized Organized Industrial Zone) per AA News Agency report. It is stated that additional 3 units of Altay T1 will be delivered to Turkish Armed Forces during official opening of the new Tank Production Facility.

ALTAY Tankı'nın seri üretimini ilk kez Anadolu Ajansı görüntüledi

I’ve also updated suggestion to be in line with newer suggestions. Also added quite a few images and videos of Altay T1.
Leaked armor 😶
Is this the most up to date Altay?
+1
At the moment, yes. It is also the current serial production variant.
Eh we’ve seen more, also we do not know much of composite inserts. It is even speculated boron-carbide inserts is going to replaced with silicon-carbide. Without knowing qualities of inserts and their placement, determining Line-of-Sight thickness does not means much.
“israel” should be a subtree of the USA. Nothing more, just like IRL.
Whatever man
Does this version also have the ammo rack right next to the driver in the middle of the hull?
All of the Altay models has them. Production Altay T1 and its prototypes ought to have isolated hull ammunition rack.
Here you can see hull ammunition of production Altay T1, I’m not sure if it will have isolated ammunition rack as specified.
And here you can see earlier design’s, MTR, FTR, PV1 and PV2, hull ammunition placement. Earlier prototypes were not equipped with isolated hull ammunition rack.
Is the ammunition loadout in the turret the same as the Leopards or the Abrams?
Pretty much yes. All the turret ammunition is stored in bustle-rack behind blast door.
Also armor separating ammunition bustle and crew station is somewhat thick, I don’t have access to my files right now but we’ve seen that there were two overlapping plates separating sections. I’ll post once I can.
Here you can see placement of both hull and turret ammunition.
It looks like it has turret basket
