USA Ground Extended Tech Tree

images (6)

(Not a suggestion as i’ve been told it counts a wish list and not a suggestion)
Background:
Extended Ground tech tree of the U.S including vehicles from the interwar period of the United states to modern day technology. All vehicles presented were either fully functional or had a functional part assembled such as a hull or turret. There are some vehicles in this tech tree that are made by companies such as the LAV 300 and LAV 150, I’ve included these vehicles as they originated in the U.S for the export market. Around 200+ vehicles have been added , i didn’t include everything i found because some are too similar to another or provide no value.

Why extend the tech tree?
The U.S is currently lacking in areas where there are plenty of vehicles, my hope is that it will draw more attention to these battle ratings and in the future these issues will be addressed.

Why no subtrees?
Even though South Korea is a popular sub tree suggestion for the U.S tech tree I don’t think the U.S needs it especially as it only fortifies most battle ratings instead of fixing them. I also didn’t add Canadian vehicles as I’m not quite sure whether or not it will be shared tech tree between the U.S and U.K or only goes to one nation.

These battle ratings aren’t final but should serve as a reference to where they will end up.

T6
In the summer of 1940 U.S army began to develop a new medium tank for the U.S army after the development of the M3 Lee, they wanted a turret with a 75mm gun that could traverse 360 degrees. With this idea in mind they started the T6 project in 1941, it wasn’t as successful as they hoped but it had done the job they wanted it to do. They would develop the T6 into the M4 Sherman after major modifications to fit the U.S army requirements.

T76
T76
The U.S was in need of a engineering vehicle to clear obstacles in 1943, they wanted it to be heavy and reliable so they chose the M4A1 Sherman as the base. They heavily modified it with a T73 launcher capable of launching 7.2 inch unguided rockets. The project stopped after the U.S army realized that it would need support from other tanks for it to do its job since it had to get within 300 meters for it to fire.

Krauss-Maffei had marketed the Leopard 2AV to the U.S for their new MBT program, they sent Leopard 2AV’s over to the U.S armed with 105mm guns to replicate what the U.S needed. After the trials and the rejection of the vehicle from the U.S Krauss-Maffei armed a 2AV with a 120mm L/44 to show the U.S it was possible but was soon dismantled and shipped back to Germany. This COULD go to the U.S as it was modified in the USA and presented to the U.S for its own trial and wasn’t adopted in Germany, of course it doesn’t mean it’s a U.S tank so it could go to Germany instead or both countries.

There’s quite a bit here, some stuff even I didn’t know about.

Woah, that’s an insane amount of vehicles, nice work!

Are you going to add in the M1304?

Great work

What did you link?

Would love it but with it there should be an either XP earning boost or less xp per unit because getting that even with premium would take ages for a guy that pays maybe 2-3h daily or in 2 days lol

added the javelin variant in the 5th line

reddit post i think

Can’t have been. I haven’t posted anything on Reddit about American tanks at all.

mb i thought it meant i shared it, i have no clue what I’ve shared of yours, maybe from one of the round up discussions?

I like a lot of the stuff that’s in here but some of the placement is questionable like the NFV-1 being in the tech tree and not like an event vehicle or something like that

Also LAV-ATM being a premium and not tt

I put the NFV-1 in the tech tree because it’s a joint project between China and the USA so it would go into both the U.S and China tech trees, it wouldn’t be fair if it was a event in one and in the researchable section of the other.

I would have made it event for both of them tbh that and the type 59 Jaguar even though the US built prototype is still at the Textron factory

added the LAV ATM as a premium because of the M1134 being practically the same vehicle and since i couldn’t add folders i just plopped it into the premium line

i don’t think people would grind the same event vehicle twice, though if it’s a singular event and gets added to both tech trees then it would make the most sense for it to be a event vehicle.

Maybe it gets a coupon and you get to choose what tree it goes to I don’t know I would want it for both trees though cuz I play both trees

probably would be the best decision for the event be like that

The original LAV-AT is a lot worse, the launcher on the ATM doesn’t need to deploy and has better thermals

M1134 has the same turret(ETS) as the ATM but on a stryker chassis
