I wouldn’t trust that. IIRC there is a line of code in Starstreak which basically says “when the darts separate ignore everything that has happened before and set their speed to Mach 3.5”
Also IIRC when I tested them in game their time to target matched exactly with IRL down to a tiny fraction of a second.

Okay, didnt know that first bit, so fair.
But with the LMMs… If they hit mach 1.2 on release (if they ever get added on either the Wildcat or Stormer) I will be impressed.
they’ll hit Mach 1.5 when the Wildcat is moving at top speed (its top speed is a tad under mach 0.3)

Should be 1350m/s i think which is somehow even worse…

Gaijin nerfed Starstreak’s flight speed ages ago and never reverted it. Recent updates also messed up its trajectory, making it really inconsistent.
The nerf probably happened right when the AH Mk1 first dropped. At launch, Starstreak easily destroyed Russian AA such as Pantsir nonstop, ruining Russian air defense performance metrics. The missile is mediocre now, yet Gaijin still won’t restore its original speed.
You’re welcome to try testing it in battle again, but when I tested it in March (there’s not been any FM changes to the missile since then) the flight speed was Mach 3.47 at sea level and the time to target was literally perfect (as in accurate to the millisecond):

I’ll test it in battle. The missile flight path is what affects the experience most.

New turret, new sight, new search radar, ability to use Blindfire.
An interesting feature of the Rapier FSC radar is that it is able to automatically detect when a suspected ARM is approaching and shut off.

Yeah, but im kind of interested how it does it. How it diffrentiates ARM from other things.
Only place ive found it mentioned is in its wikiepedia article, but under the FSB upgrade. Of course there are no sources for it from there. It would make sense fore the same feature being present for theFSC, as its building further on the FSB and the Blindfire.
But Janes land based air defence indeed attributes it to the Dagger radar, which is part of the Rapier 2000 (FSC) system.
My guess is that it detects ARMs based on their size and velocity.
Strange way of doing it, having it instantly hit mach 3.5 as soon as it gets released from the booster, although the stat card not showing correct data is typical gaijin lol.
Perhaps it utilises a variety of bands it can switch to reactively, observing the incoming missile until it stops tracking.
Or just switches off whenever a munition is detected too close to react to. If you cannot deal with said threat the best thing you can do is reduce the number of threats that it could be.
Dont hang me if any of this is idiotic, im not versed in radars (Looks at the euro fighter thread).
The Rapier FSC search radar has an integrated “guard radar”. Basically there is a secondary antenna scanning an area above the radar, and if it detects anything which looks like it might be an ARM on terminal approach it automatically shuts down all the emissions until after the calculated impact time of the ARM; that was known as Reactive Shut Off (RSO). The radar radar also featured Procedural Shut Off (PSO), where it would automatically shut off for a set amount of time, at a set interval, to try and interrupt the guidance of any ARMs, which were on their way.

Interesting! Is it integrated inside the dome on the Dagger?

Gamemode: Air Realistic
Vehicles: Harrier GR.7 & Tornado GR.4
BR Change: 12.3 → 12.0
Reasoning:
Flight performance and payload are extremely suboptimal when dealing with planes in the 12.3-13.3 bracket.
The two IRCCM-capable AIM-9Ms are the only thing that keeps these aircraft from being entirely unplayable, and you may say they justify keeping those aircraft at 12.3, but let’s remember that the Su-39, with its onboard IRCM, varied / extensive payload AND R-73 IRCCM-capable missiles sits at…
Shameless self promotion but I figure this is in the interest of most people engaging in this thread

oh are we self promoting?
Buckle up boys (just the UK relevant ones)
Ground RB
FV214 Conqueror Mk.2
7.7 → 7.3
Remove Stabiliser
Add missing addon armour parts
Reduce Reload
the changes above would remove the ahistorical stabiliser from Conqueror, and make it more bearable to play, while giving FV4202 a vehicle to join it
Wasp HAS Mk.1, Wessex HU Mk.5
9.0 → 8.7
these are not good helis and as we lack a lineup at 9.0 we are forced to use them at 9.3, where Missile SPAAs become common to see, and these have no answer
B-29A, Washington B.1
Air RB and Air Sim
7.0 → 6.7
Neither of these are good by any regard at 7.0, moving them to 6.7 would atleast give them a chance, and to re-evaluate their BRs in time
air RB
Seafire LF Mk.III
5.0 → 4.3
It has only ~30 hp more power, but is slower and overheats worse compared to the Mk.IX at 4.3
Ground RB
Harrier GR.7
12.0 → 11.7
It has no CAS advantage over the Harrier T.10, and lowering its BR will allow it to be used with the 11.7 lineup, and not overlooked by the Griper, Tornado GR.4 or Typhoon in the 12.7 lineup
Valentine IX (9)
3.0 → 3.0
Correct its gun to the correct 6Pdr Mk.V and not the incorrect Mk.III
(Currently the VIsual model is correct, this will be just a stat change)
With the Mk.XI (11) moving up, it should recieve the better gun, as to further differentiate it from Mk.XI
Centurion Mk.10, Strv 101
8.0 → 8.0 (no change)
Add L52A1 APDS (Slpprj m/66)
They are not all that excellent at 8.0, adding a better APDS round will help this
Ground RB
ZT3A2
8.3 → 8.7
Add fire on the move capability
Ground RB
Ystervark
4.0 → 4.3
It’s a fairly good SPAA, when it went down to 4.0 a while back i was suprised
Ground RB
Crusader AA Mk. II
4.0 → 3.3
It is not a good SPAA how it made it to 4.0 is beyond me
Ground RB
AEC AA
3.7 → 3.0 it is a terrible SPAA, and should not be this high
Air RB
Welkin F.1
4.7 → 4.3
It isn’t too good or ergonomic to use, it could do with a tad of a BR decrease due to the potency of 5.7 aircraft
Air RB
Sea Harrier FA.2
13.0 → 12.7
This is likely the single worse FOX-3 Slinger in the whole game, it is not comparable to even its brother the AV-8B+
It desperately needs to go down in BR
Ground RB
Valentine I
2.7 → 2.3
IT never should have gone up in BR in teh first place, it gets a peashooter, extremely poor mobility, and armour that is not effective against most threats it fights
Ground RB
Concept 3
4.7 → 5.0
Add APDS
With the Churchill VII moving up, it would be nice to give it a light auxiliary to go with it
Ground RB
A30 Avenger
4.7 → 5.0
Add APDS
In addition to being very good, with the Churchill VII moving up, it would be nice to keep it as a part of the lineup
Ground RB
Firefly (Sherman Vc)
4.7 → 5.0
Add APDS
Keep it in league with the Churchill VII and to scratch the itch of not having an APDS firefly in the british tree
FV4030/3
10.0 → 9.7
Remove Incompatible L23 APFSDS, it predates the introduction of L23 and thus won’t have the stowage for it
Ground RB
Badger
9.0 → 8.7
Since the Chieftain 10 and 900, and Rooikat MTTD moved up it is without a lineup, and is also not particularly good either
Ground RB
FV102 Striker
8.3 → 8.0
It isn’t particularly good and is very niche, this will help it perform
Ground RB
FV438 Swingfire
8.0 → 7.7
It isn’t good and is extremely niche, this will help it perform
Air RB
Phantom FGR.2, F-4J(UK)
12.0 → 12.0
add AIM-9L, these Phantoms are at a disadvantage to the US phantoms of the same BR, this would compensate for it
Air RB
Phantom FG.1
12.0 → 11.7
It isn’t that good
Ground RB
Rapier
9.7 → 10.0
It is a perfectly serviceable SPAA, I have been playing it at 10.7 a lot recently, and it is still very good there It no longer suffers from its missile being terrible
Consider adding its missing .50’s
Ground RB
Vickers Mk.1
8.0 → 8.3
Since the engine buff, this thing has become extremely good
Consider adding L52A1 APDS or HEAT to it, such as the Vijayanta has
Groud RB
Skink
5.3 → 4.7
It really is not a good SPAA, the Polstens are near useless against aircraft of the BR
Ground RB
Stormer AD
10.0 → 9.7
It does not provide any upgrade over the Gepard 1A2 also at 9.7
Hawk 200 RDA
11.3 → 11.0
No other changes
OR
11.3 → 11.3
Add missing 2 Skyflashes
THe Hawk 200 RDA isn’t particularly good, ive been spading it recently, and you are only able to get kills with Skyflashes, the 9Ls have limited effectiveness from this platform at the BR
Ground RB
All 11.7 Challenger 2s
(Challenger 2, Challenger 2 2F, Challenger 2 TES, Challenger 2 OES)
11.7 → 11.7
Remove L23A1 as the stock shell , and replace it with L26A1, like you have done with Challenger 2 Black Night and Challenger 2E
L23A1 is not a suitable stock ground at that BR, and L26A1 is equal to other stock ground at the BR such as 3BM42 or M829
Air RB,
Vampire FB.5
8.0 → 7.3
This thing is miserable to play, and has less thrust spaded than all other vampires have stock
Air RB
Venom FB.4
8.7 → 8.3
While a good plane, it is no match for a Lim-5 of F-86F-2, its equivalents are 8.0 or 8.3
Ground RB
Churchill I
3.3 → 3.0
It does not provide a significant upgrade over the B1 Ter but should remain slightly higher due to the better main gun
Ground RB
Cromwell I
3.7 → 4.0
As to keep the Cromwell I with the Mk.V keeping a good lineup,
like the Churchill III, the gun is incorrect
the Cromwell I should have the 6 Pdr Mk.V and not the current Mk.III in game (the Visual model is correct for the Mk.V gun, it will be only a stat change)
Ground RB
Churchill Mk.III,
4.0 → 3.7
It isn’t significantly good at 4.0, and doesnt fit well in the meta
In addiiton you can make it’s gun the correct 6 pdr Mk.III, and not the incorrect Mk.V in game (the visual model is already correct for the 6pdr Mk.III)
Khalid
9.3 → 9.7
Reduce reload to 6s
This thing is obscene at 9.3, and is a significant upgrade over the Chieftain 900, it should go up, and should also recieve the reload buff other chieftains should get
