Vehicle : Mirage 2000D-RMV
Mode : Air RB
Change : 12.7 → 12.3
logical step down from the M2KCs5 and is weaker than the M2KCs4 but still 12.7 is completely overtiered.
Other ways to make this plane viable:
Leave it at 12.7 but give it 2 more Magic 2
Bump it to 14.0/14.3 and give it its ahistorical loadout of Mica EM like it had on the dev server
Vehicle: Mig-23MLA, ML & MLD
Gamemode: Air Simulator
BR Change: 11.3 —> 11.7
Reason: This BR is heavily compressed currently and there is no reason for these aircraft to be 11.3 instead of 11.7, within their brackets, nothing would change in terms of balance, but there would be many 11.3 aircraft that would have room to breathe.
Vehicle: Phantom FGR2 & FG1
Gamemode: Air Simulator
BR Change: 11.3 —> 11.7
Reason: These are direct competitors to the Mig-23s, if they were to move up to 11.7, then should these 2 Phantoms. This would give much needed breathing room for other aircraft currently at 11.3 that are substantially weaker than the Phantoms.
Vehicle: F-84F (US, Germany, Israel, Italy and France)
Gamemode: Air Realistic
Change: Unify airspawn
Reason: At the moment, only the US F-84F gets airspawn, despite being identical to the versions found in the other trees, due to being Rank 6 not Rank 5, do not get airspawn. This is extremely unfair and should be rectified, whether they should all gain it or all lose it, I don’t know, but a poll is the best solution. So please vote below
- Add Air-spawn to all F-84Fs
- Remove Air-spawn from the US F-84F
Removal of vehicles is discraceful
Ground RB
Stormer AD
10.0 → 9.7
It does not provide any upgrade over the Gepard 1A2 also at 9.7
The F9F-2’s BR should be lowered to 7.7.
While the F9F-5, which is also at 8.0, has an engine thrust of 2,730 kgf, the F9F-2 only produces 2,260 kgf, which is significantly lower.
The BRs should be differentiated, just like the MiG-15 and MiG-15bis.
Vehicle: Bo 105 PAH-1
Mode: RB
Change: 9.3 → 9.0
Reason: unlike the PAH-1A1 which is also 9.3 the PAH-1 gets only HOT-1s which are qorse than HOT-2, also with 9.0 it could close a gap as Germany 9.0 has currently No Helis unless you Uptier 8.7 Helis
Vehicle: AMX A-1A
Gamemode: Air Realistic & Air Sim
BR Change: 11.0 ----> 10.7
Reason: The AMX A-1A is identical in nearly every single respect to the tech-tree version the AMX, except it has the MAA-1 Piranha Air-to-air missiles. These are notably different to the Aim-9Ls that the standard AMX carries but comparable in overall performance and I don*t believe to justify any reason for the AMX A-1A to be any higher at this time.
All Ground Attack aircraft are underperforming notably with Air Realistic at the moment, especially sub-sonic airframes that routinely encounter super-sonic ground attack aircraft. Such a higher BR guarantees that they will encounter aircraft such as the F-4S which routinely clear any and all bases long before the AMX can arrive.
The only gamemode that the AMX A-1A performs “well” in is Air Simulator, but even within this gamemode it is notably underpowered and would be better suited at 10.7 alongside similar airframes such as the AMX and Buccaneer S2B. Whilst the MAA-1’s are little stronger with Air Sim due to their short burn time, making them harder to see, the lack of radar limits the AMX A-1A’s ability to ID targets at longer ranges.
The AMX and AMX A-1A are not strong dogfighters, with aircraft like the Sea Harrier FRS1e at 10.7 much more capable under most conditions and its hard to justify even 10.7 for the airframes if not for the on-going compression
With the introduction of the Hawk 200, located at 10.7 with 4x Aim-9Ls, the overall justification for 11.0 has only become much weaker
Zeros at 6.0 is genuinely insane.
Maybe there should just be a pop up message when launching the game for american pilots telling them not to turn with zeros instead…
Vehicle: Phantom FG1
Gamemode: Air Realistic
BR Change: 12.0 ----> 11.7
Reason: It has one of the worst A2A weapon loadouts at that BR and is being carried by the fact it has decent engines and slightly more CMs than most. But vs equivalent F4s like the F4S, it stands no chance, let alone aircraft on its own tree like the Tornado F3 that is universally better in almost all respects at the same BR.
AIR REALISTIC
R2Y2 V1 8.0 → 7.3
Poor speed, acceleration, speed, and roll rate. It is simply no match for MiG-15s and F-86As. The only redeeming factor is the excessive firepower, but that is not worth much when everything can stay well away from your guns.
Vehicle: Phantom FGR2
Gamemode: Air Realistic and Air Simulator
BR Change: ARB: No change, ASB: 11.3 ----> 12.0
Loadout Change: Add Aim-9L and/or Skyflash SuperTEMP
Reason: Unlike the Phantom FG1, the FGR2 actually used Aim-9L when it was in service with the RAF, this would give the FGR2 the performance it needs to operate at 12.0 alongside airframes such as the Tornado F3 and JAS37D . This change also helps differentiate between the FGR2 and FG1 which are currently Identical and gives a reason to own both airframes.
Vehicle: Mirage 2000D-RMV
Gamemode: Ground Realistic
BR Change: 12.7 → 12.7
Reasoning: The Mirage 2000D has equivalent ground strike capability to many other 12.7 jets like the Su-27SM/F-16C/J-10A and lacks the awareness, flight performance, and self-defense options(fox 3, internal gun) to be viable at 13.0.
Vehicle: Phantom F-4J(UK)
Gamemode: Air Realistic and Air Simulator
BR Change: ARB: 12.0 ----> 11.7 ASB: 12.0 —>11.3 (or 11.7 with 11.3 decompression)
Reason: It is an identical airframe to the F-4J(US), however does not get HMD nor does it get any other possible advantages such as the Agile eagle. It also has a considerably weaker missile with the Skyflash DF (Aim-7E-2 equivalent) It is one of the weakest 12.0 aircraft in RB at the moment and doesn’t belong at 12.0. It doesn’t even get Napalm, which makes it a significantly weaker base bomber than the other F-4s
In Sim, its equivalent TT aircraft are currently at 11.3 and there is no justification for it to be at 12.0 given it is weaker than both with less CMs and weaker engine
AIR REALISTIC
R2Y2 V2 8.0 → 7.3
Poor speed, acceleration, speed, and roll rate. It is simply no match for MiG-15s and F-86As. The only redeeming factor is the excessive firepower, but that is not worth much when everything can stay well away from your guns.
Ground RB - AMX-13 (FL11) : 4.3 > 4.0
This tank is not better than the M24 that you can find in most tech tree, or the AMX-13-M24, and both are 4.0. The AMX-13 (FL11) should drop to 4.0. The gun is too weak for 4.3, you can’t penetrate frontally most of the tank you encounter, forcing you to flank, but here come the second problem, the gun is very wobbly, making flanking harder since you have to wait and lose precious second to wait for your gun to stablise, which make your speed advantage pretty useless, while M24 does have a gun stabilizer. The M24 also do have a roof M2HB machine gun that can treat light target and plane, while the AMX-13 (FL11) doesn’t. The only advantage of the AMX-13 (FL11) is it’s lower profile, but that alone should not make it worth being a 4.3 tank.
Why are you moving Bf109G-2 to 4.7 in ground RB, which has no lineup for Germany?
Slight overperformance is preferable to non-utilisation through lack of an available line-up.
Vehicle: Buccaneer S.1
Gamemode: Air Realistic & Air Simulator
BR Change: Air Realistic: No change. Air Sim 9.0 -----> 8.3.
Rank Change: Rank VI ----> Rank V
Reason: This change would enable the Buccaneer S1 to get its Air Spawn back. Unlike even later Bucs, it has a notably weaker flight performance and absolutely no A2A performance (No AAMs and no CMs). It is extremely vulnerable to any attack and rarely if ever can make it to a base to drop its bomb on target. Lowering its Rank to V would enable air spawn and fix a LOT of issues for the Buc S1
The Buc S1 is also substationally slower than the Yak-28B and far less armed. These 2 aircraft should not be the same BR
At 9.0 in ASB, you have aircraft such as the Yak-130 that outperform the Buc S1 in every single possible metric, there is no justification for the Buc S1 to be any higher in ASB than it is in ARB.
Mode: Air RB
Vehicle: Pyoerremski PM-1
Recommendation: BR 4.7 - 4.3 (=keep existing BR)
Reasoning:
In general your proposed BR increase would be reasonable - but only if you would have never flown the aircraft before your hidden high speed compression nerf some time ago.
Before this nerf it was extremely easy to kill Yak-3s with it as you could easily pull out high speed reversals and the plane turns pretty nice. I stopped playing it due to my high ammo consumption (due to my potato aim) but revisited a few weeks ago - the high stiffness above 500 kmph made high speed reversals and rate fights at very high speeds a real challenge and i lost fights i would have easily won before this nerf.
Therefore: Either keep the current 4.3 BR or de-nerf it and go for the BR 4.7.
Btw: This stiffness is no subjective “feeling” - i asked a hell of very experienced and highly successful pilots i met in battles using the plane and they have all noticed your stealth nerf…
