Recently, i’ve been playing MiG-29, F-15A and F-14, and i realized the huge amount of premium Su-30s is giving 12.7 players constant uptiers. It is pretty hard to grind when you are constantly facing planes that outperform you in basically every factor.
And the 12.7 gameplay isnt the main problem. I will use as an example F-15C MSIIP and Su-34, both planes i played a lot, and faces the su30s
F-15C is placed at a battle rating of 13.7. It have great overall speed and acceleration, good radar and can carry up to 8 AIM-120A, which have 80km of range, max speed mach 4 and can pull 35gs.
I haven’t played chinese planes enough to see the PL-12 performance, but i played R-77, and its overall pretty close to AIM-120. Same speed, a little more manouverable and same range. Su-30 can carry only 6 of them, but can also carry 4 R-73s while taking the r77s, being able to engage short range combats after spending all its long range AAMs.
Su-30s also have great speed and acceleration, not so good as F-15, but are way more manouverable
Talking about su-34, it have great CAS payload, but it dont make a significant difference at air rb. Plus su-30 have almost the same cas capabilities. Su-34 can carry 8x 77s and 2x r73s, or 6x 77s and 4x r-73s (premium su-30s payload). It have 2 more fox3s, but its radar is worse, and doesnt have features like HMS. Also have less dogfight capabilities.
I know Su-34 is a figher-bomber and Su-30 is a multirole fighter, but strike aircraft that doesnt have much air to air performance usually get downtiered, like Su-39, which is in a battle rating of 11.3.
I may have made some mistakes because i dont have any of the Su-30s yet, but i played all the other aircraft i said here. It might be better to increase the BR distance between planes with modern Fox3s and planes with early fox3s and fox1s, or make a mechanic so 12.7 planes doesnt get so uptiered, but this is my overall oppinion about it
it’s like if they just kept the su25k at 8.7 and told us to suffer, it’s hilarious they just flat out REFUSE to increase the br, you can’t even make the poor statistics cope, it’s literally just greed.
Official Gaijin response: says the Su-30s don’t currently need a BR increase and that the BMPTs only need a one-step increase. (War Thunder — official forum)
Official final response: Gaijin says they will remain 13.3 for this cycle, but intends to increase them when the maximum aircraft BR is raised in the future. (War Thunder — official forum)

Take some of this data with a grain of salt (since it’s from AI) but still
According to this, requests for the premium flankers to go up were more popular than requests for the BMPT to go up which is damn crazy considering how fuckin’ nutty that thing was on release.
If we include the J-11A which is just as busted as the premium flankers…
I think the links are partially inaccurate due to how the URL still shows the full amount of replies to a post which includes deleted ones, but the reply counter doesn’t
I doubt the AI knew that and therefore linked the wrong messages
That’s true for most of high tier ever since Gaijin realized they can add tons of premiums to make money, however it is much worse than it was a few years ago. Playing anything above 9.7 means that 50% of the whole match will be in a premium aircraft.
I wonder if some of those comments it sourced have now been deleted, but the data is still accessible by some means. I also think the “sources” in the rightmost column are not linking to the right things.
tbh, I’m too lazy to start scrounging through all those messages to then try to get the accurate links rn @Pvt_Wade@Master_Teaz
