British Vickers/Export MBT line - what's left to add

The Vickers/Export MBT line in the British tech tree is undoubtedly one of the strongest and most enjoyable sections of the ground tech tree, offering a welcome change in playstyle from the domestic MBT line, which has, at times, some speed-related deficiencies.

With the British tech tree being restructured shortly, now is the perfect time to start a discussion about the various Vickers and Export MBTs produced and/or modified by Britain currently missing in-game, as I believe there are some notable ones.

The two tanks near the top of my wishlist are the Vickers Mk 1 (improved), which significantly improves the mobility of the already pretty quick Vickers Mk 1, as well as adding a laser rangefinder and improving the gun depression to -10, and the Vickers Mk 3 (Improved), which, again, significantly improves the mobility of the Vickers Mk 3, as well as getting access to early APFS-DS. The Vickers Mk 3(i) would offer a perfect British equivalent to the Leo 1A5.

Vickers Mk 1 Improved

Vickers Mk 1(i) and Mk 3(i)

(Small note - although gaijin has recently stated they are considering adding some Commonwealth MBTs to this line, this thread is for the discussion of British vehicles either made or modified for the export market. The Commonwealth is a group of 56 countries that have operated essentially every MBT under the sun, if people are interested in discussing these vehicles then a separate thread can be started)

still plenty,
Vickers Mk.4 (with varying guns)
Vickers Mk.7/2
Vickers Mk.3M
Vickers Mk.E
Charioteer 105 (hopefully foldered with Charioteer VII)
the 95mm Churchills like Mk.V and Mk.VIII
and potentially the Churchill AVRE 165

considering its the “Commonwealth” line too its going to be very full with things, like Arjun for example and everything else the commonwealth has imported or created, but as you said, not for this topic

In all seriousness, there are so many vickers tanks that could be added to the tree at all BR’s, so I would love to see them all added.

100% think we need foldered variants of the Mk 1 and Mk 3, need me some fast tanks.

Of course, we need the 7/2 RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH I LOVE THE 7/2!!!

Vickers MBT’s:

  • Vickers MBT Mk 1 (I)
  • Vickers MBT Mk 1 (Swingfire)
  • Vickers MBT Mk 3 (I)
  • Vickers MBT Mk 3 (M)
  • Vickers MBT Mk 4 (L7)
  • Vickers MBT Mk 4 (L11)
  • Vickers MBT Mk 4 (Rh-120)
  • Vickers MBT Mk 7/2 (L11)
  • Vickers MBT Mk 7/2 (Rh-120)

Existing:

  • Challenger 2E: Was built as an export vehicle, could easily be moved to the export line.

If you want to bring in the Commonwealth, which Gaijin was hinting at for this line, then there’s things like the:

  • Olifant Mk.1
  • Vijayanta Mk 2
  • Arjun Mk 1
  • Arjun Mk 1A
  • M1A1 AIM
  • Leopard 2A4M

There’s easily two dozen odd vehicles you could grab from the Commonwealth and add here.

The Loggim also wasn’t mention but would be very good and competitive

We should’ve adopted every tank built by Vickers. They were the true goats.

(Exception to be made for the Legacy Challenger)

This thread is for the discussion of vehicles produced by the great nation of Vickeristan for the export market.

If there is interest in commonwealth MBTs another thread can be started.

would to see all those vickers tanks would give the british a leopard type vehicle set

Could this be a decal or would the snail need legal permission?

I only support Shimakazistan!
