To be honest, the idea/recommendation came from a short somewhere taking about “time to give the US wickedly OP IFVs/light tanks”. I have zero clue as to whether or not it would be OP, but I would personally like a US IFV with something bigger than a 30mm but not a full tank-caliber canon.
The LAV-700s are a bit older than the LAV-6 Mk II. As that photo is from a set of images that is at least 6 years old. I think it was made roughly around the same time as the LAV-6.0; it’s a sidegrade of the LAV-6/different development of the LAV-III from what I found.
With most, if not all, of that set having been exported to Saudi Arabia by Canada.

Certainly doesn’t look larger than 30mm. But without further information its just guesswork.
There’s no reason to reinvent the wheel when they already have the ZPZ02 in service in multiple different platforms
Neither does it have a muzzle brake as seen on some of the newer 30mm
ZPZ02 is too old, and not a very good gun when used alone.
as for muzzle brake, this depends on specific design requirements whether it’s needed.

almost forget to reply to this, it possibly has a VLS with long range ATGM or Loitering Munition, but surely can’t be in current game
I’ve seen this theory multiple times. I think its very silly and holds little to no validity.
But as I said this is all guesswork since there’s practically no info as you know.
Without seing it fire its practically impossible to guess whether its a new 30mm or the old one

the structure is there, seem very likely some kind of cold launch VLS.

Location makes no sense, one single large hatch makes no sense for a VLS (could obv just be a cover)
and the turret would interfere unless its straight forward
I think unless it’s fully backward, the turret won’t interfere.

These “cutouts” are pretty clearly here for interference, the hatch wwouldn’t open in multiple positions due to the APS radars
I think there is just enough space for the hatch to open, that’s why the turret is chamfered.
and as a supporting vehicle, the loads could be focusing on long range NLOS attack, so even there is some interfere, won’t be so big problem
