Why is F-14A at 12.3?

ARH missile at 12.3? and an event vehicle with better ARH missile at 12.3? can’t USA Jet br air player reach 50% win rate without broken vehicles like F-104, F8U, and F-14A?Did you all.just grind the entire USA air tech tree by simply bomb bases and crash (with kd 0.07) in F-4S? This is not about “oh I got shot down this thing is broken”. It’s just that USA jet br seems to always have broken vehicles, and there are still way too many idiots that manage to get their f104 shot down by mig15bis

If you now how they “balance” vehicels you whule notice that its based of K/D and winrate and because many new players and skill issue players play USA they won’t change the BR.

I know how gaijin’s “balance” works.It’s just so stupid. as stupid as those skill issue players, who should learn how to play ARB rather than crying out loud just because they don’t even know how to SA or simply utilize his vehicle’s speed.

Its fine at 12.3, although maybe it and the F-14B should both go up by one bracket. Really the only thing that I think the F-14A needs is AIM-9Ls, but even then not really that much

It’s not ok there. It has ARH missile. F-14 itself is good in dogfight as well.

Doesn’t even need them. I see plenty of people doing just fine without them.

ALL of F-14A’s equivalent aircraft are 12.3, all 12.7+ aircraft are superior to the F-14A, and even the EJ Kai at 12.3 is superior: Better radar, better IR missiles, and 30 more countermeasures. Only downside is it can’t do 1v1 dogfights in the team game that this is.

If 14A moves up, so does all 12.0 and 12.3+ jets.
At least half of the 11.3s would need to move up as well.
AKA decompression.

I’d gladly accept an uptier of both F-14 variants if they received better IR missiles.

For example 9L for the A, and 9M for the B.

It’s what they used historically.

There’s a simple solution to this issue, dynamic BRs.

By locking the Loadout options before entering a match, and adding a system that determine what BR a loadout should be related too, anyone carrying an Aim-54 or set of Aim-54s could be automatically moved up in BR, and those who want to play the F-14 Normally with just Sparrows and Sidewinders at a lower BR absolutely can.

Either way, as it currently stands, the F-14 has no All aspect IR missiles, no IRCCM IR missiles, 60 standard size CountMeasures, hot as hell engines, and Sparrows as its main SARH missile. Its fine where it is, the Aim-54 is the problem, not the plane.

Calling “anti-F14D” even they can add AIM-9M8 which has basically different seeker and AIM-7MH or AIM-7P?

I found out the document(N88-NTSP-A-50-8008C/A) from ED forum that explain about AIM7M and P model difference but, idk it is classified or not.

If we gets ECMs in the game, they can add some variants of AIM54s but, not sure they implement that.

The F-14A has been artificially nerfed ingame
because its piloted primarily by the mentally disabled.

Aim-9Gs at 12.7 would be rediculous. 12.3 is already pushing it a bit.

Maybe with the right buffs, like Aim-9Ls it could move up, but I think for the most part. Its fine where it is. But they could do with buffing CMs on aircraft below (like BOL and adding Phimat) and a few could do with moving down a little (like the FRS1 and J35XS)

After that, I think the problem with Aim-54s is more one of map design/gamemode design than one of balance. Maps are too small, everyone takes off from 1 point and there are too many players per team

  • Increase the size of the maps
  • add a second AF and split the team evenly between the 2
  • Max 10 v 10 matches (could go lower)

and the issues with the Aim-54 even out. I dont play much ARB, but I dont even recall the last time I died to an Aim-54. I did get clipped by one in the F3, but I blame the state of BOL for not being able to defeat it sooner.

just a reminder. gaijin has changed the multipath in game. in addition, f14a is too difficult to counter in BVR fight.

Are you capable of rolling your plane?

If so you can beat the phoenix. People act like it’s some crazy instant death missile, it’s not. A well timed high G barrel roll and the phoenix misses, same with the AIM-7F if fired within 7km head on.

It isn’t really good enough to be higher or worse to be lower.
