Annnnd you’re done. Missiles defeated. I know sim is a whole lot harder than ARB but not being able to defeat a 15G missile that 90% of the time won’t pull 15Gs makes me question if you think AIM-9Bs are hard to defeat.
1st it was a joke, moking people that complain about 27ER
2nd, blah blah, but you don’t play sim … it’s easy to say it, not as easy to do it when your RWR is beeping from all angles, and you don’t have labels
3rd AIM-9B are very short range and rear aspect, very different

May be beeping but it’s not lighting up with missile warnings, when it does you would what you would with literally any other radar missile no? I don’t see the issue.

Yes, and you can be lock from several angles, and you don’t know many times where the misile is comming from.

Yes, but the F-90 doesn’t have enough AOA to pull 15Gs. Sensor view almost always has them between 5-11Gs when maneuvering. A last minute high G barrel roll defeats a phoenix so it will definitely defeat an F-90
Again, I don’t have the MiG-29. I am giving examples of why it’s not as bad as you think it is using what I know to figure out what I don’t know. In planes with the shitty mirage detecteur if I get lit up as CW I will try to find the missile diamond and if I can’t I will just go cold.
And yes I know SB doesn’t have missile diamonds, but the massive smoke trail will be enough to point directly to where the F-90 is.
Then come play, it’s so easy, you see the smoke. You’ll not see me giving lessons to people in the AB and RB forum …

Oh goodie someone doesn’t want to have a discussion about the game and says I should play an aircraft I don’t have. I’m legitimately trying to discuss with you why you feel this way.
to be honest idk, maybe its because USA has more options to play, meanwhile Germany for example doenst any options, just Mig29 at 12.7.

Why do you try to give lessons about a thing you don’t play to people who plays it ?
This is a forum for discussing SB, I would like to discuss with people that understand SB, not with people that feel they are so smart they can give me lessons on something they have never done.

No you are not. You are ignoring his points completely. That’s not a discussion.
Also you make baseless assumptions, but don’t retract them when being called out on them. It is Impossible to discuss with you on that basis.
You need to play SB to understand the issue.
You completely ignore the difference in situational awareness in SB compared to RB and act like it is the same… It isn’t.

This is the real point !!!
In RB videos I see a lot of people evade the misiles with barrel rolls, in SB you don’t see that … they think we are stupid it seems.
Also in RB you know what misile you are evading, in SB you have no clue most of the times, if it’s high G or low G.

You also know the direction the enemies are coming from. There are rarely multi angle attacks since all enemies start from the same airfield at the same time.
You are also much more occupied with flying which means you have less attention to give to observing missiles.
Having played mostly RB recently due to having a newborn, i can say the difference is huge.
Yes the mechanics of missile evasion is technically identical in RB and SB. But there is a huge difference in knowing what to do and when to do it and executing it. And that’s where the difference lies…
And then the RB plebs go “just do it bro” completely ignoring that we don’t have the instructor holding our hand and no 3rd person view.
Tangent: i find it weird, that it is only RB players coming into threads of the other modes and thinking they know everything even though they don’t play that mode. They do it to AB threads too.
It’s never the AB players doing it.
There has to be a reason for that.

Which has worse missile modelling.
It’s better at modelling the single planes.and their cockpits, but they tok a lot of shortcuts on the actual combat mechanics, especially around IR missiles

-flare effectiveness is determined by a simple random number generator.
DCS isn’t the flawless perfection everyone makes it out to be. Do people really think mentioning DCS counts as an argument?
