I just don’t get it. The old naval arcade system was perfect. It required a tiny bit of skill but wasn’t over complicated or requiring too much thought like naval RB.
Now, if a ship makes even the slightest course change or speed change, you simply cant correct. On ships with really high shell arcs, it’s almost impossible to hit anything at range unless it’s a bot moving in the straight line.
Gaijin said they fixed the bug of shells spamming off all over the place but it still happens frequently. The shells spread out like a shotgun at times.
If a ship makes the most tiny of movements, it throws your guns totally out. You can’t plan or lead any shots now the shot indicator is gone. Even if you attempt to lead, it confuses the guns even more, as Gaijin created a system where you just need to point at the part of the ship you wanna hit. I get this dumbed down version but there was literally no need for it. Nobody asked for it.
I see zero logic in the new aim system, which basically now feels like a random number generator as to whether shells go close or not.
On top of that, Ive no idea what they did, but with the update, ammo detonations occur all the time. I’ve detonated enemy battleships with a single 150mm HE round. You get ammo detonated all the time and have fun with your 300 second repair time and burn down to death.
My record so far is ammo detonations on 9 enemy ships in 2 games. It’s crazy.
Seriously, Gaijin have pushed naval with this update, and when most players play arcade, you’ve gotta give us the old aiming system back, because the current one just doesnt work and aint fun.
