Welcome to Sky Odyssey! This major update introduces a diverse selection of new vehicles, including aircraft and tanks from Greece, the CA-27, the Indian Arjun Mk 1, and the Indonesian Harimau. Additionally, Darwin Hill, set within the landscapes of the Falkland Islands, has been added as a new map for Ground Battles. Beyond new vehicles and maps, enhancements include updated reward mechanics for instances when enemy players abandon a tank or vessel and improved overall survivability for bomber aircraft. There’s also multiple user interface refinements in the hangar, notably to the preset functionality and submodes appearing under the “To Battle!” button, including Nuclear Escalation, Naval Confrontation and Bullet Hell, which are now permanent modes.

- Darwin Hill — a new location for Ground Battles has been added.
Location and mission updates
- Pyrenees — a bug that caused a viaduct to float has been fixed.
- Second Battle of El Alamein — paths to unintended positions in grid squares A2 and C3 have been blocked.
- Attica — the unintended position in grid square C3 has been blocked.
- Gold Quarry — unintended positions at the edges of the map have been blocked. A bug that caused the gates of some hangars to not fall after driving through them, instead just disappear after some time has been fixed.
- Air defense emplacements have been added to airfields.
- Red Desert — terrain elevations have been adjusted, and rock geometry modified in the affected areas. High-ground positions offering line-of-sight across the entire map have been minimized, and terrain height at player spawn points has been lowered to conceal vehicles during the initial stages after spawning.
- Afghanistan — the map has been visually overhauled; terrain now has more detail, and textures have been improved.
- Falkland Islands — the map has been visually overhauled; terrain now has more detail, also as a result of the new height map from the ground version of the location, textures have been improved.
- White Rock Fortress — a bug that lead to bushes floating in mid-air in certain areas of the fortress have been fixed.
- “ Desert” test flight — an issue with arresting cables appearing in the air on the low rank version of the test drive has been fixed. (Report).
- Frozen Pass — an unfair position in grid square B4 has been blocked.
- Tunisia — an unfair position on the rocks near the river has been blocked (D2, viewed from the Domination mission).
- Abandoned Town — the appearance of the railway has been improved.
- Finland — the landscape to the East of the spawn zones for both teams has been adjusted, and more driveable space has been added to create more suitable positions for multi-vehicle SAM vehicles.
- Ash River — the positions of some spawn points have been adjusted to avoid situations where a player could have spawned on the hill side and would not be able to quickly drive off it. (Report).
- The ability to select a specific aircraft carrier, either catapult or trampoline one, has been added to all Air Realistic Battles missions.
- [Operation] Falkland Islands, [Operation] Denmark — a second aircraft carrier, a trampoline one, has been added to both teams.
- Poland — a bug that sometimes caused the trees and bushes to grow on roads has been fixed. (Report).
- Leopard A1A1 (L/44) — the tank’s name has been changed to Leopard 1 MPI. (Report).
Nuclear Escalation
- A bug that sometimes caused planes to crash on an invisible object when taxiing near the runway has been fixed.
Enduring Confrontation
- The first airfield is now available for players to select right after getting into a new session, without the need to wait for the mission start sequence (after which spawning becomes possible). All other airfields are displayed only after the full mission start, same as before the change.
Ground Vehicle model, damage model, characteristic and weaponry changes
- An issue where a fire in the internal fuel tanks may have not resulted in the destruction of the vehicle has been fixed.
- A bug that sometimes occurred when the shell hit the junction of two parallel armor parts, for example the edge of a welded-on armor plate, and caused the shell to get back to the original trajectory and ignore the second armor part after has been fixed.
- A bug with the vehicle physics calculation that caused vehicles to bounce too much upwards when colliding with steep surfaces has been fixed.
- M1 Abrams (all variants) — on all tanks of the M1 Abrams family, the steel armor plates in the hull and the turret are now volumetric, their geometry has been revised.
- T-90M (Arena-M) — an additional ERA package has been added.
- “Relict” ERA — soft-cased all-aspect additional ERA blocks on T-72B3, T-80BVM and T-90M tanks: the anti-HEAT protection value in the tooltip has been corrected from 600 mm to 400 mm without altering the element’s actual protection. Previously, these blocks provided the stated 400 mm equivalent, whereas the 600 mm of protection (for normal to the surface hits) are provided if the first layer of “Relict” ERA located in the rigid side screen and the standoff distance from the hull side are included. “Relict” all-aspect ERA blocks in rigid casings on the rear and sides of the turret of the T-72B3 and T-80BVM: the actual anti-HEAT protection equivalent of the block has been increased from 500 mm to 600 mm (normal to the surface), matching the value stated in the tooltip.
- DHL-1 explosive — TNT equivalent changed to match that of A-IX-II. DHL-1 is a different designation of the same compound. (Report).
- Heavy Tank No.6 (Japan) — an anti-air machine gun has been added.
- Magach 7C, Gal Batash — the thickness of the composite side skirts has been increased from 40 mm to 90 mm. (Report, Report).
- Turan III, 44M Zrinyi I — the characteristics of the 43M PR. gránát shell have been adjusted to match the original Hl.Gr 38C shell. (Report, Report).
- 44M Zrinyi I — the thickness of the lower glacis plates has been increased from 15 mm + 35 mm to 25 mm + 50 mm to to match the Zrinyi II. (Report).

- M10 GMC (all variants) — a bug that made the crew invulnerable to flamethrower and napalm fire has been fixed. (Report).
- T1E1, M6A1, M6A2E1 — the thickness of the chassis elements has been increased from 10 mm to the usual 20 mm.
- M44 (Germany, Britain) — the set of vehicle targets in the test drive has been corrected. (Report).
- BTR-3E1 — gun elevation limits have been changed from -4°/+60° to -5°/+45°. (Report).
- M60A1 Predator — the commander’s machine gun depression angles have been corrected to match the M60A1 RISE (P). (Report).
- T-64A (1971) — a bug where the turret would not jam when one of the horizontal traverse mechanism parts was damaged has been fixed. (Report).
- T-72A (all variants) — a bug where the turret would not jam when one of the horizontal traverse mechanism parts was damaged has been fixed. (Report).
- Hummel — armor values for several plates have been corrected: driver’s hatch from 10 mm to 20 mm, hull sides from 22 mm to 20 mm, bottom part of the track fenders from 3 mm to 5 mm, rear of the hull from 20 mm to 22 mm. - Tiger II (all variants) — the minimum engine RPM has been increased from 600 to 800 RPM. (Report).

- FIROS 6, Jaguar 2, 38 cm Sturmmörser — the Adjustment of Fire modification has been removed, as it is not applicable to the rockets or missiles.
- Scimitar Mk.2 — the names of some slat armor components displayed in the X-ray view have been corrected. (Report).
- Scimitar Mk.2 — a modification allowing the removal/installation of the slat armor has been added. Gun elevation and depression limits now depend on the presence or absence of protective grilles. The smoke grenades are now available by default without researching any modifications.
- CM34 — an erroneously present thermal imager has been removed from the Scout UAV.
- StuG III G, StuH 42 G — smoke grenades have been added along with a corresponding modification.
- Type 87 — an issue with the operation of IRST that prevented it from locking targets has been fixed.
- CT-CV 105HP, Boxer MGS — reload time has been increased from 5 to 7.5 seconds.
- VT4A1 — the orientation of the left LWS sensor on the turret has been corrected.
- M24 (Italy, Japan, China) — he model has been updated. Previously a model of he American M24 from WWII was used, now they have their own post-war model. The smoke grenade launcher modification has been removed. (Report).
- XM800T — double fire controls have been removed. Only the commander is now aiming and firing the main gun. (Report).
- Leclerc (all variants), MSC, Type 10 (all variants), TKX (all variants), Type 90 (all variants) — the time of the first-stage ammo replenishment has been reduced from 30 to 13 seconds.
- Al-Khalid I, MBT2000, ZTZ99 ( all variants ), ZTZ96 ( all variants ), VT4 ( all variants ), WZ1001(E)LCT, Oplot-T, Object 292, T-64 ( all variants ), T-72 ( all variants ), T-80 ( all variants ), T-90 ( all variants ) — the time before the first-stage ammo starts replenishing has been reduced from 8 to 4 seconds.
- Striker, Swingfire — the appearance of the ATGM has been updated. The missile’s paint scheme has been changed from training to combat. (Report).
- BMPT — the procedure for crew repositioning has been changed. Previously, the commander was the first to take the place of a gunner or driver who had been knocked out. Now, the grenade launchers will be the first to take those positions, followed by the commander.

- F-16D Barak II, F-16I Sufa — Delilah and Delilah (IR) guided missiles have been added along with the corresponding modification. AGM-15(V)2/B guided bombs now require the installation of the ASW-55 pod.
- Kurnass 2000 — Delilah, Delilah (IR) and Delilah (ARM) guided missiles have been added along with the corresponding modification. The GBU-12 and GBU-10 modifications have been merged into a single “LGBU” modification at Tier 2 in the modification research window, enabling the use of all laser-guided bombs. The GBU-12 modification has been replaced by the LGBU modification, Research Points or Golden Eagles spent on the GBU-10 modification will be refunded. AGM-15(V)2/B guided bombs now require the installation of the ASW-55 pod.
- The conditions of bomb damage and detonation while they are still on the aircraft have been adjusted. The explosion is now possible either on a direct hit of a shell with more than 80 kJ of energy: so a minimum of 23-30 mm AP shell, or on an explosion of a shell with 30 g or more of explosives in TNT equivalent right on the bomb: so a minimum of 30 mm shell. For a guaranteed detonation of a bomb a shell with at least 3 kg of explosives in TNT equivalent is needed: so a minimum of 100-122 mm HE round. But many hits of shrapnel and low-caliber projectiles are not harmless to a bomb, as they can render it unusable without exploding it, after which the bomb will get discarded.
- F-15C Golden Eagle — a restriction on the simultaneous use of the AIM-120 and AIM-9L/M or AIM-120A on the dual pylon has been added to prevent missile model clipping. (Report).
- F-2A , F-2A A DTW — AIM-9L and AIM-9M air-to-air missiles have been added along with corresponding modifications available at Tier I and III of modification research. (Report). Triple FFAR Mighty Mouse rocket mounts have been replaced with single ones. (Report).
- F-2A — satellite-guided bombs have been combined into a single “JDAM” modification at Tier I. Laser and satellite-guided bombs have been combined into a single “LJDAM” modification at Tier II. All anti-ship missiles have been combined into a single “ASM” modification at Tier IV. Silver Lions and Golden Eagles spent on the removed modifications will be refunded.
- JAS39E — the armament on the fuselage pylons has been split into three separate slots in the Secondary weapons menu. The ability to mount guided and unguided bombs on the fuselage pylons has been added. GBU-39 bombs have been moved from the outermost wing pylons to the fuselage pylons, similar to the SPICE-250 configuration. - JAS39A — modifications for unguided bombs and rockets have been removed, these are now available by default. All modifications that unlock laser-guided bombs have been combined into a single “LGBU” modification at tier II of modification research, and the “RB75” modification has been moved to tier III. - Rafale C F3 — modifications for unguided bombs have been removed. All modifications that unlock laser-guided bombs have been combined into a single “LGBU” modification at tier II of modification research. “MICA-EM” and “AASM 250 (SBU 54)” modifications have been moved to the tier III. Awards
- The “Reward for a vehicle abandoned in combat” mechanic has been extended from aircraft to ground vehicles and ships: if a player abandons a vehicle without having taken damage, the kill is credited to the nearest player on the enemy team. The search radius is 3 km for ground vehicles and 20 km for ships. The system considers not only the nearest players but also the munitions they have fired, such as bombs, mines, torpedoes, and guided or unguided missiles; if a munition is closer, the reward goes to its owner. The reward amounts to 50% of the standard value and includes Silver Lions, Research Points, and mission points. This mechanic does not apply to reserve vehicles with zero repair cost.
- If a ground vehicle sinks without sustaining damage, the kill is also credited to the nearest enemy player within a 3 km radius, similar to the reward for a crashed aircraft.
Interface
- The choice of vehicle indicator style (WT, NATO or USSR) is now available in all game modes. The selected style applies both to markers on the tactical map and to vehicle indicators in battle: all vehicle types have received preset icons in the three styles. Previously this feature was only available in the Nuclear Escalation mode.
- Hovering the cursor over a vehicle or base on the tactical map now shows a tooltip with the name and properties of the object. This feature, previously only available in Nuclear Escalation, is now enabled by default in all game modes.
- The vehicle preset interface has been reworked: the preset list has been updated, the ability to scroll the list horizontally has been added, the separate window for editing the preset list has been replaced with a dropdown menu, and hovering over a preset shows its vehicles. The number of presets is no longer tied to unlocked vehicle ranks, the single limit is 25 presets.
- A panel for selecting optional submodes has been added under the “To Battle!” button. Enabling additional game modes, such as night tank battles and Air Realistic Battles with smaller team sizes, has been moved there from the main mode settings. The panel shows the requirement for enabling a submode.
- Information about used NVD or TVD and their generation is now shown in the tooltip for the optics modules in X-ray view of ground vehilces.
- An orthogonal view has been added to the replays in the sensor view mode. It can be toggled by pressing the M key when the Sensor view is enabled.
- An obsolete tooltip stating that cyclic radar target switching for aircraft could not be used when the “Cyclic aircraft radar target switching” option was disabled has been fixed.
- An issue where the warning indicating that the selected weapon’s maximum launch speed had been exceeded would not appear in certain instances has been fixed. It now appears whenever a release is attempted while the maximum release speed is exceeded.
- A distance to the point of interest is now displayed near its marker.
- A bug that caused the corresponding interface elements to not blink in the Seeker View when the target got out of the launch distance or zone after switching to the Seeker View has been fixed.
- Sight indication in the Seeker View now changes when the target gets out of the launch distance or zone.
- A text hint about the target getting out of the launch distance or zone has been added.
- In the weapon list in the aircraft parameters HUD (top-left corner), the caliber and name of the aircraft’s corresponding gun armament is now displayed after the ammunition counter.
- Information about the presence of Range gate and Speed gate is now displayed in the stat cards of missiles.
Game mechanics
- Modes that were previously only available during events have been added to the optional submode selection panel. Nuclear Escalation can be enabled as the main mode of Air Realistic Battles instead of classic battles, Naval Enduring Confrontation as the main mode of Naval Arcade and Realistic Battles instead of classic battles. Bullet Hell can be enabled as an additional mode of Air Realistic Battles.
- A bug that caused locking a target on aircraft to reset the Point of Interest and turn off the laser designator has been fixed.
- The aircraft weapon tracking camera has been reworked. The field of view has been widened and is now fixed to improve spatial orientation and visibility; the camera defaults to facing the target, and the distance range between the camera and the tracked munition has been increased. Camera no longer jitters during low-altitude missile flight over waves. The camera now tracks the target after missile warhead detonates.
Graphical
- The position of the ricochet smoke effect has been adjusted.
Sound
- The firing sounds of aircraft and ground-based automatic guns of the same type now reflect the actual number of guns. For example, four Browning M2 machine guns now sound like four machine guns, rather than just one.
- Aircraft cockpit audio has been improved: this includes vibration sounds, aerodynamic wind noise, sounds of wheels touching the ground when landing, and mechanical system sounds. Engine audio is cleaner, with extraneous noises removed that previously masked the unique sound profile of each engine.
- Vibrations heard in the cockpit now depend more complexly on current flight parameters, providing better feedback on the airframe’s condition. There are now two types of vibrations: those dependent on the G-load experienced by the airframe, and those dependent on the angle of attack. G-load-dependent vibrations convey structural stress, while angle-of-attack-dependent vibrations reflect effects such as flutter (dangerous oscillations of airframe components at critically high speeds) and buffeting (oscillations caused by airflow separation at high angles of attack).
- The sound of the Ju 87 Stuka’s siren has been updated. The pitch of the siren now depends on the aircraft’s speed.
Matchmaking
- Standard matchmaking mechanics with a Battle Rating range of 1.0 have been enabled for Nuclear Escalation. An aircraft with a Battle Rating of 8.7 or higher is needed to take part.
- Standard matchmaking mechanics with a Battle Rating range of 1.0 have been enabled for Bullet Hell. At least 2 aircraft with a Battle Rating of 8.3 are needed to take part.
