Hello everyone.
I want to ask.
After Sabra mkII (aka M60T)
Turkey has not received update Sabra mk.III?
And Instead of it they make M60TM?
M60TM isnt Sabra mk.III?
The Sabra Mk.2 and M60T are 2 different vehicles entirely with loads of differences.
The Sabra Mk.3 was created around the same time as the Mk.2, it was likely an alternate option to be chosen if the Mk.2 wasn’t enough. However it appears the Mk.2 was chosen over the Mk.3.
Hmmm. I saw a lot source says that it is same.
So… If not, What is the connection between them?
And does Turks really buy 170 Sabra mkII?
The Sabra Mk.2 and M60T feature a number of differences, namely the M60T uses the hella old M60 commander cupola with the .50 cal, while also removing the extra roof armor the Sabra Mk.2 adds. There’s some other changes on top of that, just can’t remember them off the top of my head.
The dates of their existence? Adoption into service?
You can read more about them and their variants here:
No, we did not go for any Sabra Mk. 3 based modernization package.
Correct, based on the experience from Operation Euphrates Shield.
No, it is M60T (based on Sabra Mk.2 but has few changes) modernized with Turkish efforts.
No, we purchased around 170 modernization kits, our existing M60A1 fleet was modernized.
Sabra Mk.2 was presented to us in 2002, and after their tests were complete and beated the 120S, they were purchased in 2005 with few changes and labeled as M60T, and first deliveries began in 2007.
I am very grateful to you
The JF-17 is a good Addition as a Premium-Pack.
Pakistan-China co-produced JF-17 “Thunder” Block 3 warplanes belonging to the Azerbaijani Air Force will be equipped with Gökdoğan BVRAAM and Bozdoğan WVRAAM air-to-air missiles produced by the Turkish defense industry. Long-range air-to-air missile Gökdoğan BVRAAM was developed by the Turkish company TÜBİTAK-SAGE to compete with the long-range air-to-air missile AIM-120 AMRAAM produced by the USA. -DSA
+1, would be a great Israeli subtree!
No, rather an independent tree
While searching for Turkish produced munitions found rather interesting thing, a local arms manufacturer, İstiklal Defence, has production capabilities of 125mm tank rounds, specifically Bosnian 125mm rounds.
According to their website, İstiklal Defence has capability to supply M04 APFSDS, M88 HEAT and M86 HE for 125mm Tank cannons.
M04 APFSDS
M86 HE
M88 HEAT
Indeed those rounds are not really Turkish nor used by Turkish Armed Forces, at least formally, those still might be employed in the game in some form. Currently only vehicles those round could be used are T-72B (TFCS) and T-72KAE/Shygys, but considering those are based of Kazakhstan’s T-72s, it might be a little out of place to add such ammunition. Still, those T-72s are modernised by Turkey and are not actively used by Kazakhstan Army and it could be argued that there is no harm in including rounds for export market in an export solution.
In any case, it is still a good find to me and might be useful in-game wise in the future.
Pars Alpha
Thanks to the flexible interior and exterior layout of the vehicle, payloads (shot detection system, laser warning system, active protection systems) can be easily integrated depending on user demands.
Different anti-tank missile systems can also be integrated into the TEBER-II 30/40 UKK system. Two ready-to-fire anti-tank missiles are supported by a fire control system integrated into the turret. This capability makes it possible to eliminate various threats with an effective range exceeding 4 km. There is an independent remote-controlled weapon system (UKSS) on the tower with adjustable firing angles both up and down. The elevation angle of this system, which can be mounted on a 7.62mm or 5.56mm machine gun, can be used against threats at high points in residential areas (buildings, roofs, etc.) as well as against drones approaching from high angles. This system is also used as the commander’s independent vision system for “fighter-gunner” capabilities. Both the turret and the UKSS are designed to hit multiple targets simultaneously in any direction. TEBER-II 30/40 UKK has two-axis stabilization capabilities that allow target tracking and firing while the vehicle is in motion. The vehicle can also be equipped with various types of manned or remote-controlled turrets, including TEBER-II 30/40 UKK, as well as 35 mm, 90 mm, 105 mm and 120 mm weapon systems, 120 mm mortars, air defense systems and anti-tank systems.
This new layout approach significantly increases situational awareness by providing 180°+ real-time visibility for both passengers.
PARS ALPHA ensures the survival of the crew and maintains combat effectiveness in the CBRN environment, thanks to its hybrid CBRN system, which includes a positive pressure and mask type protection system.
PARS ALPHA, which has superior mobility in all types of terrain and weather conditions, combines the all-wheel drive, height adjustable independent suspension and all-axle steering system experienced in FNSS’s 8x8 vehicles with the innovative design and equal axle distribution provided by the front power pack, offering a distinctive mobility. The hydropneumatic suspension system with adjustable ride height provides easy adaptation to different terrain conditions and positively contributes to reducing the silhouette of the vehicle. With the all-axle steering system, it provides high maneuverability on the terrain with a turning radius optimized especially for residential scenarios in narrow areas. Thanks to the all-wheel drive and equal axle balance, in addition to the departure and approach angles of over 45 degrees, the vehicle can easily overcome 40 percent side slopes, 70 percent steep slopes, 2.4-meter ditches and 0.80-meter vertical obstacles.
PARS ALPHA, which can reach speeds of over 115 km/h, will be the choice of armored mechanized infantry units worldwide thanks to its power pack and features that can lock the steering system from all axles and the advanced suspension system that allows the height of the vehicle to be adjusted for the best road holding. In addition to the advantages of the suspension system, its unique design that will provide equal axle distribution allows the vehicle to continue its mission by maintaining its mobility even in the event of the loss of one of the wheels. The vehicle, which has an operational range of over 800 km, allows long-distance transfers without the need for refueling.
Gaijin devs please!!! Its been 11 years that I’ve been waiting for the Turkish tech tree in the game. It’s literally mountain of gold you refuse to mine. Tens of millions of gamers here and you can %100 expect player numbers go drastically up and most if not all of us are ready to buy every single premium on that tree.
In 2025, the Turkish army will receive serial Altay tanks.
