what im saying is its better to wait and verify that its safe rather than immediately posting it just because
if its isnt safe then it could be a problem, like when the Su-30’s tail part of the livery got leaked
for instance when i brought up that we got KHAN based on the leaked images i waited around 2 weeks just to make sure its safe and I wont be risking my account here if it wasnt.
Personally I try to respect the AFB’s wishes in not sharing images, not that there is a problem in doing so
Yes I think your concern here isn’t unfounded. People have been debating whether it’s okay to post them or not, since the OPSEC restriction was supposed to apply for Air Force members, but past examples like the Su-30’s new camo, or the planned F-16 upgrades by Turkey, or the NASAMS launcher does tell that the Air Force is pretty serious about this kind of stuff

Unknown why, KERIS mentioned that the president is already in Jakarta, so there shouldnt be a problem there. Maybe because of the leaked images, if it is then its such a petty move ngl

EDIT: we got the first actual statement that the aircrafts are currently in service
"The aircraft have been handed over and are ready for use by the Indonesian Air Force,” Defence Ministry spokesperson Rico Ricardo Sirait said in a message in response to a Reuters query - the first confirmation that Indonesia has possession of the advanced military aircraft after striking an $8 billion deal with France in 2022 and expanding it last year.
Sirait said the three aircraft arrived on Friday and were stationed at Roesmin Nurjadin Air Base in Pekanbaru, located on the western island of Sumatra.

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Defense (Kemhan) confirmed that President Prabowo Subianto will attend the acceptance ceremony for three new fighter jets belonging to the Indonesian Air Force, namely the Rafale.
However, the Ministry of Defense has not been able to confirm when the aircraft acceptance ceremony will be held.
“The official reception ceremony will be held at a later date, depending on the President’s schedule and availability,” said Brigadier General Rico Sirait, Head of the Defense Information Bureau of the Ministry of Defense’s Secretariat General, when confirmed in Jakarta on Tuesday.
So we got a reasoning here, basically it depends on the president’s availablility (lmao)

- 24 M-346FA/FI (we already know this), but an option for +12 more units is also available
It is preparing to acquire 24 M-346 light fighter jets from Italy’s Leonardo, with an option for 12 more.
This purchase is doubled by another, for 24 PC-24 business jets from the Swiss Pilatus, also with an option for 12 more, for training purposes.
- the M-346 will have the Q600 Grifo AESA radar (Grifo-E maybe) as well as an active Jammer DRFM (presumably the BriteCloud) which can work against pulse doppler radar
"Rumors about the M-346 appeared last December. They are confirmed.
It will be a particularly advanced version: AESA Q600 Grifo radar and electronic warfare suite with active jammer DRFM (which can decoy a radar by sending it ghost images)."
- ESS FZ (UAE) is the one heading the deal. ESS is our number 1 broker for everything (the Turkish broker only gained some standings relatively recently). They’re the one responsible for obtaining it on behalf of the ID gov. They also do maintenance & training for it as well.

The KF21 was launched by another government, and the current one is not very interested in renewing or buying equipment from this country for specific reasons. For Boeing, nothing will happen, also for budgetary reasons. There will be purchases in the US, but not for this type of equipment.”
Of course take it with a grain of salt, it could very well be just him not wanting to prop up rivaling companies

After delays, 2 out of 6 airframe has been delivered via cargo, seems that with the possible new arrival of the M-346, the trainer role will be handed to that, whereas this could possibly be used as a dedicated fighter
