From this point on I have decided to take into account vehicles weaponry, this means that if a vehicle has a BR lower than one of its weapons it will be grafted up to the highest BR, this will also apply to mods such as armor, thus each vehicle is being treated as its spaded config instead of stock config. I can’t say if this drastically changes things but one thing for sure the next check in (likely) will have lots to talk about regarding ammunitions and mods. I have decided not to apply this to vehicle skins or names as those can be willingly changed by the players themselves. So far, I have applied this (in regards to weaponry) to the A-10A Late and the ▂A-20G-30.
And please, feel free to correct me on anything, new sources are always welcome as long as they follow Gaijins rules (No Classified Documents!)
The Alpha Jet TH modernization only happened in 2003, and thats just at the earliest, its gotten modernizations up until like 2014 where it went to phase II.
@Stona_WT Sorry to ping you, I know you changed the location of this thread before, and I made an edit and couldn’t remember where it was before. Feel free to move this thread to a better spot :)
This is good list, minor corrections about T-64 though:
T-64A should be 1971 in game (60’s version would be nice to see in game though)
T-64B is the 1984 version, but the BV armor module is 1985; (1 year difference doesn’t really matter tho)
Also as I alluded to earlier, ammunition is vastly different from vehicle year, as mentioned the ammunition situation is chaotic. So this isn’t including ammunition based on year ofc. (Ex: T-10M getting '60s ammunition, or the T-64BV I mentioned would move up to '86 with 3BM42, M1IP getting later M900, etc.).
Working on weapons right now, need sources for lots - please if you know where I can find information please share it, especially for the AIM-9, AIM-7, AIM-120, and AGM-45 :)
Still slow going, especially since not only the event started but FFAR and Zuni are going to be a pain as they will create “Choke points” in which weapons suck vehicles up a couple BRs than normal resulting in large clumps of vehicles across the BRs. Thinking about leaving anything unguided out of the way.
i’ll put this here, this should not be even an idea especially if you think about the type 64 light tank in the chinese tech tree since that’s from the year 1975 which would make it a higher br than the t-72 and the M60A1 with the AOS upgrade
for 1943-45 it’s a good cannon…not for 1975 keep in mind it’s just an M18 turret strapped onto an m42 duster hull with not much changes and you want it to fight M60 AOS, M48a5, T-64As, and the bloody LEOPARD 2K (it’s a 1973 prototype) in a downtier and it would be a higher BR than the MBT/KPZ-70 series oh god don’t even get started on a full uptier where it will face M1 abrams, T-80Bs, Gepards , Merkava 1s, M3 bradley and BMP-2…
They could have Tiers count as eras (more or less) or generations … and lock down what the vehicles meet. For example, a t6 10.3 wouldn’t ever meet a t7 10.3. This way you can place higher the vehicles that would be OP to never meet vehicles that would be garbage , and have historical MM as well…
But yeah… most players/gamers can solve such “issues” with 2 mins thinking… GJ (a whole company) can’t in years…
Or they can but making you pay is better…
It would be interesting if, at least in ARB, there were an option to use lower-BR aircraft in higher-BR matches. For instance, I prefer using the F4U-1A (BR 2.7) in 4.3 BR matches (which is roughly its historical BR). While you can simply pair a lower-BR tank with tanks at your desired BR level, doing the same with aircraft in ARB is completely impossible unless you are playing in a squad.
Big changes have been made, the US Abrams and Russian T-90 family has been completed (unless they add more), Integration of the old additions is underway and a new document for sources has been added (to avoid unnecessary clutter), I have changed to a more professional way of citing sources. I have also decided (as of today) to work on vehicles by update. Regarding modifications and ammo, I will also be giving them BRs, sources for modifications can be found under the specific vehicle in the sources and ammo will get its own category, I plan to additionally create a suggestion for dynamic battle rating depending on mods which will tie in and ultimately be a requirement for this mod when I suggest it.
