M2A2 is in game, so that’s at least one that contradicts that statement
It is fair to say that about 30% of the 3,500 vehicles in this game are copy-paste, and that is a seriously high number. It would be somewhat tolerable if unlocking a vehicle once provided a 50% RP discount for its duplicate in another tech tree. However, coupled with the lack of game mode variety and the sheer difficulty of researching vehicles, having to grind the exact same vehicles again in different trees really drives a lot of people away from the game.
I genuinely believe that if research was buffed and the overall grind was made easier, the player base would actually increase. Most players simply don’t have the time to research 3,500 vehicles anyway. Only the veterans who have been playing non-stop for a very long time have all the tech trees fully unlocked, and they make up a very, very small fraction of the community. It is incredibly sad to be in a situation where we still struggle to research vehicles even with a premium account and premium vehicles.
I am sure it saddens many players like myself to see a game one with such incredible potential for featuring unique niche vehicles and exciting new game modes devolve into something that feels entirely focused on grinding and selling premium vehicles.
That’s literally it and as far as it goes it seems to of been a test vehicles proving they aren’t fit for the game.
Horrible approach imo.
So what, you stop giving us more unique vehicles because otherwise you can not do that for ever ?
Vehicles are not the only content players want
Gamemodes will gurantee the longevity of the game far more than just vehicles.
And even if Vehicles start running out, just do what you competition is doing already and add in the hypothetical paper vehicles.
Add in a mode called something like “legacy Arcade/Realistic Battles”, keep the historical stuff there, and put everything together into a new Mode then.
And please don’t start to argue theat queue times would be the issue again, the playercount is high enough by far to support several Game modes.
People are already waiting up to 15 minutes in the sim queue sometimes so this should have never been the issue to begin with.
Make these paper vehicles special, give us our Tiger 105 or Panther II back and make them special driving the hype again some people are graving.
If you can not expand time period wise, just expand into another direction. The limits are only set by whoever is in charge here rn.
Expand instead of slowing down like this. It might sound risky but this game has a lot of potential. You guys just need to check in with the community a lot to figure out what will be a W and what won’t be one.
I’m still waiting for the late-model Brummbar on the German Techtree. A vehicle that could have been a good replacement for the M44, or at least the Grille 38t could be added.
I don’t really have much of a problem with copy-and-paste tanks. I would only ask for two things: first, that they look for local options to add, and then, if they want, include a copy-and-paste model. One would be to put a local tank and a copy-and-paste tank in the same dropdown menu, for example, the Grille 37t and the M44 together, so that whoever wants to use the M44 can, and those who don’t can just pass it over. Another example would be to combine the Cromwell V and add the Sherman V alongside it. The second thing I would ask is that they at least put a little effort into the copy-and-paste tanks, and that, based on real images, they add accessories to them, such as bags, backpacks, and crates, or canvas roofs (on some M44s), in addition to other parts that make them at least a little different from the model of another country.
One of the horrible things about copy and paste is when, despite being tanks with differences, the devs add them without changes, such as the Centurion MkX and the Strv 101, which in the game use exactly the same model, when in reality they had certain differences, such as the lights, the cupola machine gun, objects attached to the hull front, etc.

Same with the early prototype EBR-FL10 without its strengthened suspension and the Lorraine 155 MLE 51 (for the French tree).
The craziest thing is the premium bonuses alone should be enough to justify purchasing a premium vehicle, no need to slap on the paywalling aspect, especially if it’s a signature vehicle from the tree
Post as sloppy as the copy slop itself.
They have replaced many unique vehicles.
Truth nuke lol
As if the hummel does not fulfill that role already

I understand your point, but in my case I prefer tanks that entered service, such as the EBR (1963), which unfortunately the developers decided would be an event tank. Regarding the Lorraine artillery, the same thing happens to it; it is trapped because it is an event tank.
Yes and no, since the Hummel is faster, while the Brummbar is more heavily armored; one has a higher muzzle velocity while the other has a more powerful HE round. They are tanks with quite different strengths despite having the same caliber gun, the only questionable thing being the addition of that experimental 88mm round to the Hummel, which in my opinion is unnecessary, because we already have the Nashorn for that purpose.
PD:Well, more than the Nashorn, the Hummel would be the equivalent of the Dicker Max, since in terms of performance they would be practically identical tanks.
The EBR 1954 (fl10 turret) did enter service though, and the only major difference between it and the standard is the suspension. The EBR 1954 is so iconic it should be researchable.
You’re thinking of the Lorraine 155 MLE 50, not the Lorraine 155 MLE 51
1- Countering OP CAS, which is a good thing.
2- There was no Relikt buff, & it wasn’t secret.
2a- The fix to excessively under-performing side-mounted Relikt was in the dev blog. UFP Relikt still performs better.
3- Identical to T-80BVM; but the tech-tree version has issues with over-lapping plates, and server issues make rounds bounce on weird angles sometimes.
4- Without Kh-38MTs we probably wouldn’t have meta SPAA across all tech trees at this time.
NATO CAS players weren’t being oppressive enough with their own OP CAS spam to show statistics.
If you’re going to defend Russian equipment, “amogus”, you should talk about T-44-100 being 0.7 below T-54.
I love unique/prototype vehicles, i think prototypes make sense as premiums as long as they dont unbalance the br they’re at. I also stand by the idea of having slightly differing tech tree clones that are simply intended to boost research speed and sl gain. However, that becomes pointless when you shill out talismans, and premium accounts, and boosters to anybody with the same amount of money to spend. I think that if you want to remain monetarily successful then you need to sell a product(s) inside the game, considering its f2p. However, you don’t need to overdo it as stated above. Remove some of these paid features and I can guarantee you will be just as successful. I think having only a premium subscription option and incorporating all premium vehicles to tech tree would work just as fine.
We need a dislike button on this forum
“excessively under-performing side-mounted Relikt” is a phrase that no one playing this game has ever uttered up until now. I’ve seen it completely stop Type 10 APFDS at sub 200m range while almost perfectly side on even prior to this change.
And if you think that’s how it should perform, ask yourself why the Armata still has armor making the tank significantly heavier and more expensive to produce if Relikt alone could defeat even the most modern of APFDS rounds.
Not for France, with France or French companies. There are a lot of prototype vehicles that were co-developed by France and Switzerland, similar to the DF105 and CLOVIS for Germany and France.
Gaijin has already made the choice to give Germany the Swiss subtree and France the BeNeLux subtree (even though the opposite would’ve arguably made more sense, if only for the fact that they fill the gaps of those countries better) so discussing the position of the Swiss tree is pointless.
That having been said however, Franco-Swiss designs (and only those) should be added to both trees for fairness sake, just like the DF105 and CLOVIS were.
How is that any worse than the current situation of just cobbling together small trees and slapping copy paste in everywhere?
Adding A leopard2 to each nation isn’t filling Gaps they already have their own 12.7 stuff. Germany has massive gaps and shortages within their own techtree but you don’t care about that apparently.
Also makes gameplay more boring than it already was
Clearly, this is just another half-hearted excuse. Think about the T14, T58, F14D, and IA58—all of them are straight-up pay-to-win vehicles. Now, try to remember: when was the last time you actually got a vehicle that was both meaningful and fun from a periodic event?
They have never truly listened to the players.
