Duplicate Vehicles: Why We Add Them

There’s literally only 1 tank iirc that only has a mg for its main weapon

Last I checked Israel doesn’t have a tiger or king tiger 🤷‍♀️they are the most recent tt

I’ve read around a little and I can’t find the exact 13mm weapon
But I did find it is actually a 13.2mm, which if I luckily guess it, would be the 13.2 mm Type 3 with 26mil of pen at 100m (more pen than T-60’s 24mm), which is fine, 1 autocannon tank ain’t that bad.

If it is the 13 mm Type 2 machine gun it would have even less pen, just 19mm at 0 meters and it would def be completely and irredeemably ass.

Edit: Japan did copy some french firearms, which include the inspiration for the Type 92 hmg, the 13.2mm hotchkiss with 26mm of pen at 100m.

The cannons are already present and 2/3 cases shred enemies at low tiers pretty easily, I don’t really see a problem with addition of the Type 92 cavalry tank (late).

So sure, go for it if you want a suggestion, it can still stand toe to toe with enemies.

Okay. Go name me some and not just french companies selling a turret.

Again joint development what pretty much all swiss tanks aren’t.

How many Tigers did Israel capture?

6 quadrillion

This. “Running out of vehicles” is such a terrible take and clearly shows where Gaijin’s mind is at - maximizing revenue. As always.

There’s so many things they could still do even if they hypothetically run out of vehicles:

  • More skin copy-paste premiums, either historical or anime.
  • Removing “exclusivity” on event/tournament vehicles and selling them as premiums.
  • Bring back the removed vehicles in more historically correct configurations. Panther 2 for example could be made more accurate and as 3 separate vehicles.

It also means they can finally put more dev time towards improving the game.

The “Unique vehicles take too much time” is also dumb.

Because no one want them to drop an update every weekned or month, I can be without an update for an entire year and don’t care, you could spend such time to add 1 unique vehicle for each nation and even branch if lucky.

Or even better, improve mechanics, test new gamemodes, maps, tweaks in simulations and equations.

We don’t need a new vehicle every month, you could just, add more stuff in general.
gaijin ain’t no company with 1000 devs on 1 project, they are excused to take it slow.

But rush and then blame the players for obvious examples of lazyness? all on their part really.

._. its called correcting you. The M2A2 wasn’t a one-off, nor was it a prototype. Over 600+ of them were produced and serviced. Gaijin just never bothered to add more tracked vehicles with machine guns cause seeing ones with 12.7’s and 13mm’s is not very common, and even then, Gaijin has prioritized modern and late Cold War over every other era, which is why said periods have less of an active player base now.

To start, I do believe you bounced a round, just so you’re aware.

~54mm of protection cannot stop a DM53 equivalent round.

If you bounced a round, it wasn’t due to the ~54mm of protection the ERA provides flat [which is still ~54mm right now, today, this minute], it would’ve been due to something else entirely.

Overlapping plates, server errors, etc.

When did I say that. I said it’s the only one of its type. Machine gun tanks do not have a place as seen by m2a2 and it’s why they never added more

Because they don’t fit in the game…

._. Light AA Mk I is also a tracked vehicle.

You give me a .50 cal humvee for 1.3 - 1.7 and that’ll be my #1 SPAA truck.
Can’t comment on machine gun tracked vehicles cause I know less about them sadly.

And in the name is a anti air…

This entire post really comes off as “we don’t care, we want to milk the game for as long as possible instead of improving it.” If this was meant to improve the situation at all within the community congratulations, it failed.

I’ve normally approached the Franco-Swiss approach from major components perspective, so far, because if MOWAG requests to use a turret built in another country, that other firm has to agree. But if if you want it from the nuts and bolts side of things, here are a few examples:

  • Panzer 61 and Panzer 68 involved the French Firm SAMM who developed the drives for the PZ 61, produced a stabilized PZ61 turret, and then produced stabilized drives for the Panzer 61. S1. S2.

  • Potez 630 B-2 and Potez 632 B-1, two French Potez 63’s that were ordered by Switzerland, with specific fitting requests for Swiss armaments. The 632 was also fitted before delivery with a Hispano-Suiza Engine. S1. S2.

  • Shark FL-20 was a prototype partnership between MOWAG and Fives-Cail Babcock. S1.

  • Promotional Material for the FL-12 explicitly calls out Fives-Cail Babcock. S1.

It’s not hard to accept that the Swiss and French collaborated to develop a number of really interesting vehicle designs.

Any time Gaijin is caught doing something wrong, its never their fault. They always somehow find a way to blame a third party every single time. Gaijin rarely ever accepts accountability for something. They find a way to blame someone else always.

I don’t care about copy paste. Just reduce the grind if you are going to keep adding vehicles. I’ve noticed the trend of you adding vehicles reducing the grind but adding the RP you took out back just a few months later with new vehicles. It’s a scam. I’ve played off and on for over a decade and yet have not been able to finish multiple trees. I get close but you keep adding new shit. I have yet to finish an air tree as air is boring as fuck in top tier. Japan is the only nation where I have 99.99% spaded for ground but only at 10.0 for air. It’s just too much. Also you keep adding Squadron vehicles but it takes months to get one vehicle. Y’all can suck it on that shit. I’ve been hearing a lot of this game is dying for the past few months and well I am now in that camp of let it come you deserve the death of your company.
