We need a dislike button for real on this forum.
This way community can have a simple way to show if they disagree or agree with something.
No need for examples of topics or posts because they are very obvious.
so i think it would be interesting if we are able to see what the community really feels about heated topics and see the general opinion.
Its a win-win.
Players get a simple way to react to something based on what they think about it.
Gaijin receives better feedback from community
coming from reddit some people use the dislike button just like a general no button so in some communities you are walking on eggshells (so its either up or down no in between)
I just feel a lot people here are just way too emotional, they actually read unlike reddit but they still put a cinderblock to block the door.
Look at the Russian bias thread, while there is proof for “bias” I understand that having your WT experience be “nullified” by “plays nation handheld by devs”. A lot of people just put on a full-on wall and deny even actual cases, because every side has some truth but there is always some exaggeration.
There’s a “black and white mentality”, which is not helped by the fact that WT basically provides no info.
Stat cards actually just lie unless they are about a shell’s stats, 90% of the very important mechanics aren’t properly explained and the only way to actually know for sure is to hop into an actual battle and be dunked on and paying the bill for experimenting.
I prefer the old reactions system. There’s a difference between “I somewhat disagree” and “bro what” that simple downvotes don’t contain the nuance to convey.
Now the reason dislikes were removed in the first place was because people were crashing out and bombing comments as an attempt to slander the poster. Though now they just false flag posts as spam, which is definitely not better.
No thanks. That’s how you turn this place into toxic negativity.
Besides, the War Thunder official forums run on Discourse, a more modern, open-source internet forum. The Discourse developer team does not include dislike function in their software, so you are asking for something that doesn’t exist. This is pointless to ask for.
The warthunder forums are built on the discourse forum platform, which does not have a native “dislike” function. Now that’s not to say there’s no possibility of such a thing being added, but the system not natively having one built in does make adding one not so simple.
