Duplicate Vehicles: Why We Add Them

Once again, this update is about nothing. As always there is nothing good. Once again, the real problems are ignored, and once again I hear the same stupid excuses.

Gaijin created these problems themselves, and now they’re trying to fix them by creating even more problems. The biggest issue is the small maps and the same old game mode. At this point, War Thunder is basically CS:GO with tanks and planes. Because of that, everything has to be perfectly balanced so that, god forbid, one side is stronger than the other. There’s no need to fill every gap with copy-paste vehicles. What’s the point of having different nations if you can play with same thing in every tech tree?

God forbid grinding the tech tree becomes too easy, because then people might stop buying premium tanks and planes. And looking at the prices is honestly crazy—€80 for a bunch of pixels. The funniest part is that they said they don’t want people reaching top tier with premium vehicles, yet they keep selling them. Even worse, unique vehicles are locked behind a paywall. It looks like making money is more important than having any conscience.

There’s nothing they do better than constantly making empty promises and continuing to lie just to make more money.

Several things:

  1. You’re referencing a discussion that started because I said that it would be nice for France to get Franco-Swiss Vehicles, so no a Leopard is not part of that count

  2. Switzerland fielded and co-developed more than just the leopard 2 (they fielded and co-developed more French planes and AFVs than they did German)

  3. Switzerland fielded fewer Leopards than BeNeLux did, so no, even if the trees were swapped your math is wrong

  4. As is the core of a good portion of this entire 900+ comment post, just because copy-paste (or near copy-paste) can be updated does not mean that it should

You’re tilting at windmills here

This post really feels like backpedalling especially for the bit about the M44, you say that you put the M44 and M55 into the German tree so that you could focus on working on the Hummel but there are so many other WW2 German SPGs that could have fit the spots for the M44 like the Grille or the Waspe.

They didn’t. Idk why you got this idea the Leopard 2 development was purely German.

Switzerland developed so many vehicles for Germany idk what you mean. They developed nothing for France

Another 2 billion Leopard 2 to every nations tree but with different flags in background

Does kinda come with the whole most exported modern tank (of western origin)

honestly I think ctrl+v vehicle should be limited to captured vehicle and not export, thats what makes it unique, if we add every export vehicle to every tech tree we will have the entire United Nations member countries in War Thunder.

The biggest problem is simply copy paste vehicles that come as Premium, accessible even to the most inept players, who leave after one death and ruin the match quality. The same goes for pointless Premium CAS spamming

There should be another blog post about current bug reporting system and how certain reports get completely disregarded while others get accepted without even looking twice at it.

How will gaijin handle adding even more modern vehicles for which there is even less available information and even greater document restriction.

Thoses don’t even belong in the game unless they are modfied in some way or another it’s just boring. Wow Russia america gb and everyone else should get a panther tiger king tiger panzer 4 and whatever else because they were captured

Its fun, if theres a historical match making, not stuff like German Reich and Israel vs NATO+USSR thing, i agree that it’s need a modified version, the Soviet tried to mount a 85mm on a Panther but what we got was a basic Panther that uses shell the Soviet don’t even make.

Another thing is command tanks, stuff like Bfw Jagdpanther don’t belong here, unless we can call the entire SS Panzer Division off map to reinforce the team

Genuinely what gap did the M44 fill?

Never left paper. They also tried it with the tiger with a 85 and 100mm…

The Soviets captured large numbers of German ammo later in the war and often the doctrine for captured tanks was run them until they break or had no ammo

True, but we got Ho-Ri, a People’s Republic of China T-34/76 despite that it was never sent but claimed to be, then there’s a Republic of China M36 despite the original being M36B2.

They’ve said many times it’s not removed since Japan
doesn’t have something to fill its gap.

Can you claim for 1000% for sure that it wasn’t delivered (it probably was) and then you can bug report anything if you believe it’s wrong

Its not, never delivered, the People’s Liberation Army gets bunch of T-34/85 and IS-2 just like the North Korean, T-34/76 by then was deprecated. These tanks that were allegedly sent to China in 1943 would be nonsense, Mongolia has no infrastructure to send it to, and People’s Liberation Army during Second World War was mostly confined in the Shaanxi region which is surrounded by the Warlord clique of Yan Xishan and Ma Bufang whose loyalty rest to the Koumintang.

So again there’s no certain proof it was never delivered. And again make a suggestion or bug report if you believe something is wrong

Many people in CN community and RU community already made a suggestion but you know how it ends up.
