Cromwell Mk. VI - The Close Support Cromwell

How is the Mk 3 different from the Mk I? The Mk I has 600hp and 6-pounder

Presumably later Marks may be more likely to carry the 6 pdr Mk 5 rather than the Mk 3 as modelled, but all 6 pdrs in the game use Mk 5 stats anyway so a Cromwell III would be functionally identical to the Cromwell I.

Wrong.

Happy to be corrected! This means that vehicles with the Mk V have the wrong model.

To be fair the Churchill III does incorrectly use the Mk. Vs stats even though it’s an earlier one modelled with the Mk. III.

Yes @Jarms made reports to try and get the 6pdrs corrected a year ago, no action yet taken.

Question: why make a suggestion on the Mk.6 Cromwell instead of the Mk.8? they used the same “gun” but the Mk.8 had better features of later Cromwells

He probably has but since the suggestion mods are either asleep, lobotomized or on holiday they’ve accepted this first

I think doing all things at once when it comes to British and South African suggestions

I didn’t bother with the VIII because the VI was much more prevalent as the reworked VIIs and VIIIs came along very late into the war. It would have slightly better traction and acceleration thanks to the wider tracks and low-speed final drives. But it would also lose out on the top speed that the I and V currently have which I feel is more useful overall which is why I also went for the Mk. VwD specifically.

+1. I wonder why we haven’t seen any British CS (except Churchill Petard) available in the TT, given how many variants are possible and we already have most of components in the game. Hope this one comes with dual AA mount, so I can clear path for HEAT shells

It’s a good question but it’s also sadly not surprising when we’re missing some quite fundamental and basic things i.e.
A9
A10
Covenanter
Crusader I
Cavalier
Centaur I
Churchill IV
Bishop
Sexton
Sherman III, V, IC and IC Hybrid (shameless plugs)
AEC I and III (I think we can all agree the II shouldn’t have ever been a premium)
Humber I, II, III, IV
Staghound I and III
Chieftain 11
Saladin
Scorpion

If it isn’t already obvious this is something that massively annoys me.

Going back to CS tanks, the Centaur IV, Cromwell VI and VIII (going to suggest), Churchill V, VIII (literally just put through for approval), and VII AVRE, and the Centurion AVRE (sadly also a premium of course) would make a great sub-line but, again, we’re missing such basic things that I don’t see anything like this ever happening.

I also would’ve liked the Vickers light tank with 2 15cm besa guns to be folderd with the light AA MK1

(there is also the MK2 which has an early and late config for the additional armour plate though I’m not sure how helpful it would be, regardless I might make a suggestion about the late and possibly the early after)

I’d say go for it, I’ve found them to be surprisingly fun to put together. Feel free to use any of mine as a template if you want.

Thank you, you got any suggestions your working on yourself?

I’ll probably do the Cromwell VIII off the back of this and thinking about doing the Sherman IB and IIA which were the M4 (105) and M4A1 (76) in British/Commonwealth use.

I’ve also got the Stuart V/M3A3, Achilles IIC fitted with applique armour, and the Churchill Mk. IV (75mm), Mk. VI and Mk. VIII (literally just submitted an hour ago) pending so hopefully they’ll be filtering through soon enough.

Hope it all goes well for you.
