Yeah so why isnt this sorely missed tank in game yet? who knows? maybe people hate fun lol
There’s still so much good stuff that’s missing and I’m hoping that further restructuring of the tree and increasing use of folders will lead to them being added, but, I’m expecting that only a few will arrive, like the Covenanter and Centaur IV, and that they’ll end up being premiums or event vehicles.
Hello mate me again, just with the correct names of the projectiles. Really would be nice to see this or another 95mm-armed vehicle in the main TT line.
- Shell Q.F., H.E.S. (Hollow Charge) Mk. 1
- Shell Q.F., HE, Mk. 1A
- Shell Q.F., Smoke Emission Mk. 1

Anyone who might know more about the 95 mm HE round; can’t seem to find the amount of explosive filler in any of the documentation and it seems neither can Gaijin, which is why it currently has the same amount as the M48 HE round.

You could have a Rank II that looks like this, but that involves removing all the Commonwealth vehicles (I also altered all the Cruisers to be mediums but that’s not relevant here). Even then by abiding by Gaijins rules, 5 lines max, 4 vehicles max per folder it still doesn’t leave space for the Cavalier and Centaurs. Though I could maybe replace the Crusader III Late with one of them.
Interesting, the Churchill Mk. VII/VIII Service Instruction Book has the same names for HE and Smoke but uses Shell, Q.F., H.E./A.T., 95mm Tank Howitzer. I’m assuming that’s from the same Cromwell manual?
With regards to the HE, all I’ve really been able to find being said is that it was 25lbs and had around 1.4 or 1.5kg of explosive filler (not sure if that’s just the Amatol or includes the TNT around the A and B ‘exploders’) but I can’t find anything official unfortunately.
I wish they’d finally just add a 6th line because then Britain could have a Lend-Lease line that transitions into the experimental and export vehicles which would open space for the Cruisers.
From the same QF 95 mm book as before, best info I can find on it. Projectiles are the same on the fixed (tank) and separate (Alecto and towed) 95 mm howitzers, just the muzzle velocities differ due to different charges. I’ll have to double-check the Churchill book but in the case of changes in nomenclature I’d go with the more recent publication.
Yes 25 lb compared to the 15 lb HE in the 3.7 in howitzer, but the 95 HE is reputedly just an elongated version of the 3.7 containing more filler. Iirc the 3.7 contains around 875 g, but I can double-check later today.
Absolutely. Even the “big 3” could use more space. They’re all missing tons of vehicles.
I did a British only rank I as well which came out to 37 vehicles. Still missing stuff there too due to lack of space.
