Don’t worry, It’s the only BR I play in ground. But you know that the problem ww2 spaa is that you simply cannot protect your team. You are always reacting to the enemy, never pro-active. Sure, you might be able to surprise a plane passing by low and slow, but this is after said plane dropped his bomb on 1 more player.
The game is already underbrained. If you want smart gameplay, tactical decisision and perfect teamplay, WT doesn’t nor want to fill that.
SIM is full of zombie that are just here to grind, extremly prevalent in Air-RB.
Air-RB is the same team-deathmatch since 2013.
GRB and GAB are the same capture the point from the first Cod.
And of all gaijin additions and actions show they want to make the game a fast paced dopamine rush.
As annoying as it can be sometime, it still enjoyable, especially when you have squadmates and don’t get trolled by volumetric/sparks.
It’s not because people can’t handle combined arms. It’s because because the CAS role is absurdly powerfull and easy to get.
Imagine a shooter game where after 2-3 kills, you can spawn in a orbital station with full view of the map and snipe everyone at will.
What is “handling” of combined arms when playing a tank? it’s more or less, try to stay hidden (Eyeballs mk1 detect you, with UQL it even become trivial) and hope none of the guy you kill come at you immediately?
IMO, there is 3 way to go about it:

Make CAS harder to play, to make it so that ground player have an easier time avoiding CAS detection
- reduce the HUD, like removing the capture point display, remove the bomb count, remove the marking for enemy hit by friendly, ect.
- Restrict the camera angles, such that a top down view is impossible, this would massively help A2G cover.
- Make CAS spawn on the runway, giving time for the battlefield to change before the CAS can spawn in and immediately start diving on the enemy positions he spotted just before dying.

Make opposition to CAS better.
- Give arcade-like lead indicator to ww2 spaa
- Remove the tracer of spaa to let them actually shot at CAS without giving them a massive warning and your position.
- Add more spot on the map near the friendly side for spaa to protect themselves against
- Increase the rewards for destroy CAS, something based on the remaining CAS payload would be best. Since each bomb/missile the CAS carry can easily kill a tank, you should have a massive reward for destroying something like a AD-4 strapped with 6 bombs.

Ground only mode.
Each of those solution have benefits and inconvenient. The main problem of the first 2 is that they’d make CAS more frustrating to play, while not improving the gameplay of SPAA. The advantage of the last one is that everyone would be happy. || Unless CAS player have nothing to kill since 90% of the ground RB playerbase migrated to Ground Only ||

While you are not obligated to answer, it the etiquette and the social contract of a forum to elaborate and argue for your claim when pressed on it’s validity. If you don’t you admit that this claim was wrong.
Thats not a problem, that helps maintain balance. One SPAA should not be able to cover the entire map.

SPAA is not covering ANYTHING, that the problem. Even if you are 100m next to a friendly tank, you cannot shot down a plane diving on hit dropping a bomb.
It’s even worse in the plane have high penetration guns, like the Yak9-K, Me262-Narwal since they can pull out much earlier.
By your own admition, you have to play SPAA by hiding and taking someone distracted. You are not touching a plane going 500kph in a dive, not even before he drops the bomb.
Weird balancing tho, since CAS can target the whole map. How many SPAA player does it take to counter 1 CAS player?
SPAA is defensive, and has basically unlimited ammo. CAS is offensive and has very limited ammo. That’s the balance.

We are balancing on ammo now? I get why why people call you a troll. You do realize that balancing on ammo, in a game in which you play vehicles is completely absurd? Not to mention that CAS can, you know, rearm?
So, SPAA fail to provide a counter to CAS. (At least at ww2 BR). This is what I said in my comment. Your objection was indeed unfounded.

At the very best, what you end up with is 8 SPAA still alive, 8 Tank dead, and random amount of plane from 0 to 8 still alive.
And now that the CAS planes know where the spaa are, they can take there sweet time to gang up on each, since even the slowest of plane can do ~200kph.

imo stopping a plane from dropping every single time is what we have in, said, 8-12.0 cold war BRs now. It’s like asking a tank now to shoot a round after slowly climbing out a hill, exposing himself and waiting for the suspension to hold the shaking…

But I need to get points to spawn CAP. Unlike SPAA you can’t just pick CAP in response, you need points. Which simple enough if I plan for it. Not simple if my team is on the back foot.
It’s funny how everyone complains how easy it it is to spawn CAS but then all of a sudden CAP which is cheaper to spawn is so hard.
