Could you not play TD when I want to play heavy tanks?
Could you not play autocannons when I want to play missile carts?

lol

If I want to fly planes, I play air sim.

The only reason I play GRB or GSB is because I want to play tanks.

GSB at least has fun plane controls, but you can only play it like once per week.

GRB if you use sim controls and cockpit view you’re just screwed.

As a consequence, I basically stopped playing GRB since yak-9K APHE became a thing. One can simply look at my sessions since as evidence.

What’s so hard to understand in this?

It’s not hard. I don’t like RB planes. RB vs SB tanks is nearly indistinguishable past curated lineups. RB vs SB planes are two different games.

If you’re trying to summon someone who actually plays GRB for CAS. I’m already in this thread.

There are good air fights, less furballs, no nametags on the jets nor does it show missiles.
I have to dodge AA, take out the AA, eliminate helis. All things ARB doesn’t do.

What does this have to do with…

  1. me NOT wanting to fly a plane
  2. me wanting to play tanks

I really did not think my original message was that cryptic.

Never played sim. What does that mean?

So ironically, the one person that does, does it for the A2A, not the A2G.

I do it for both, thanks for assuming. I’ve recently been just playing CAP because of the MI-28NM LMUR and KH-38MT spam. Having my team of click baits deleted and them 1 death leaving needs to be delayed.

I started with an A-10, now that they moved the air spawn further out I play it a bit less. Top tier GRB air CAS is fun and I do enjoy that.

Ground sim you can’t just play whatever you want. There’s a rotating set of lineups that changes about daily. You cannot bring vehicles weaker or stronger, just precisely what’s listed.

This means if you want to say, grind a new tech tree out and unlock new vehicles and spade them you get 1 day/week to do so. This may end up one you cannot play on leaving you SOL. Even lineups are a mess as it’s not driven by BR. You can end up with a line up of say 5.0 tanks where half can be played one half of the week, half the other half of the week.

Consequently, you’re forced to play GRB if you actually want to make progress.

The goal is historical-lite matchups. Very lite because Germans usually spam premium KV-1s and T-34s which are for some reason allowed in a mode without name tags.

This contrasts air sim where the rotating BR brackets are just a suggestion - you can bring 3.7 or 4.0 planes into 5.7 and nobody’s gonna stop you. You just can’t bring higher BR lower. The rotating brackets work like 3.0-4.0, 3.3-4.3, 3.7-4.7, 4.0-5.0 and so on.

Tbf, your examples were all A2A. You kinda brought it upon yourself.

Guilty lol

ARB A2G is boring, low reward and static GRB A2G is exciting and chaotic

Appreciate the info.

So looks like, for me anyway, ground sim will NOT be a substitute for GRB.

You want to play one vehicle type but not another one, and there’s some hard counter between the vehicles.

Sorry that logics won’t go as you wish.

Instead of just nerfing the Suchoi KH-38 double spawns, Gajin decided to nerf the whole GRB air mechanic. So just one bomb/anti ground spawn per match. We have to deal with it, I guess.

Nothing of this needed to happen, if Gajin wouldn’t have introduced KH-38 into the game. Noo…instead everything had to be nerfed from 1.0 to max BR, just to prevent 2x Suchoi KH-38…one as fighter, one as strike aircraft. Doesn’t even matter if its a 50kg bomb or a 50mm pen shell…everything applies to this idiot rule of double spawn costs.

Same thing applies to Yak9K/UT. Stock N37D now cost SP lmfao

Well otherwise planes with default belts containing high pen shells would have bypassed the new rule.

Me staring at my stock mig9 with default n37d.

40mm pen is the line, maybe good line for top attacks, yet different planes have different FM and choices. They don’t seen to give a 0 AP choice on many belts. eg vya23. And half or less of these ammo in a damn Default belt also counts?

The whole thing won’t happen if it’s not the ns45 anyways. Think about how frequently is ns37 seen in a match.

Instead of nerfing -mostly ru - outliers, Gajin prefers to nerf the whole game. Air in GRB is so unattractive and expensive to spawn for alot nations…not fun. Whats this gamemode with all those planes about, when you can’t spawn them anymore? Just the outliers are still good and useful.

Devs should reconsider this. A targeted nerf at KH-38 would have been better. Also the Yak double gun cas could have been taken out with less invasive changes.

If the “hard counter” you refer to is a plane - YOU ARE NOT LISTENING.
I’m playing the game to play tanks, not planes.
If I want to play planes I will play the air modes.

If the “hard counter” you refer to is spaa - well - they are at a huge disadvantage in the ww2 era. And for the most part, spawning an spaa first means you are basically doing nothing for the early part of the battle. And then you are easy fodder for the prop planes with bombs and autocannons the way Gaijin has enacted CAS.

Can you now understand that “logic” ?
