Currently, spawning a second CAS playing in GRB is 2x spawning the first. This is pretty absurd considering every single complaint coming from CAS haters is in regards to first spawn CAS, not second spawn CAS.
To name a few, revenge CAS, CAS spam, dying to CAS in first few minutes, or rushing points with reserve tanks to spawn CAS super early.
^^^ every single one of those problems is sourced by first CAS spawns, NOT second CAS spawn.
A simple solution that wouldn’t require entirely revamping the SP system again (as Gajin already idiotically did) would be to simply make second CAS spawn have a 1.5x or 1.25x spawn cost multiplier.
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. In order to be able to play air in GRB, You actually have to be good, especially if You want to spawn more than one air unit.
Yup, and with that in mind, here’s why I think Sim’s SP system is superior to RB’s SP system.
All players start with the same amount of SP (1000 in Sim’s case, RB could use a different number if desired) and have enough to spawn any vehicle regardless of being a plane or tank.
All players cannot earn more SP, meaning matches snowball less quickly for the first team to get a few easy kills or caps.
Completely eliminates cap & fly from the game.
Because all vehicle types are allowed at start, SPAAG use early game is strongly encouraged, as is use of clean Fighters, both to swat down all the early game CAS.
If any particular person has problems with CAS, now they have the tools to solve their problem themselves and have that much less reason to complain how “overpowered” it supposedly is.
As a result, the mode becomes truly Combined Arms instead of tanks with planes as CoD powerups.
Obviously, planes need to ground spawn, and helicopters need to pad spawn further away than currently for both types of CAS to not strafe people right out of their first spawns of the game.
I wish they would stop nerfing everyone because of an OP russian thing, first increased SP cost of IR guided ATGMS because KH38MT (that doesnt exist IRL) and now changing how the SP cost multiplier works because SU30 and SU34 combo
I like the new changes because you can now spawn fighter CAS and fighter CAP without any penalty, and vice versa. It also prevents using a heavy fighter and an attacker/bomber to spawn more CAS than needed.
The multiplier really needs to be reduced, because 2x cost makes it a statistically unlikely event to get to spawn a 2nd plane. Why is this a problem? Because CAS is not proportionally powerful enough relative to the massive cost of a 2nd spawn. Actually, CAS at most BRs is balanced relative to SPAA, but costs tens of times more. By reducing the multiplier, it’s only more fair. No need for semantic arguments when you can make a logical one.
Spawning CAP negatively impacts the game though. Not to mention, revenge CAS and are unaffected by CAP. If the sky is already filled with AD-2 and P-61s and whatnot, even a Spitfire ain’t gonna do much.
The only time CAP is successful is when your team already has air superiority.
Even if this was rrue it still doesnt explain why you want to make it easier to spawn CAS twice. First spawn and second spawn CAS can both be a problem and both should be nerfed
Neither are a major problem with the exception of certain vehicles. Being able to spawn CAS multiple times is healthy for balancing since players can spawn multiple SPAA.
The few problems that first spawn CAS has, aren’t problems with second CAS spawn so nerfing second CAS spawn just doesn’t make sense.
I would understand the change if Gajin limited SPAA spawns per player to 1 (doing so would be good for numerous reasons), however with no SPAA nerf, it’s simply a bad change.
