9.3BR SPAA vs jets

Shocker, grass is green and another topic because of the Yak-130, let’s ignore the A-4E for the past few years being unnoticed. These other topics I’ve linked below talks about similar topic.

A4E simply skill depended jet, no bomb and missile CCIP which affects on battle productivity and possible kills, while USA gets it only on 9.7BR and early missiles that does not really work against Yak, but its okay, what else to expect from russian main player who gets less skilled jet and yet its not enough

If the A-4E depends on skill, so does the Yak-130 with no countermeasure and air-to-air missiles. A-4E (Early) has access to two guided boms and three guided missiles if you want to purposely ignore those in favour of your argument, which also you don’t need CCIP to guide bombs nor missiles—is locking and launching, simply as that.

F-84F, B-52H, F-100D and A-4E (Early) then yes, USA has access to a plane with ballistic computers by battle rating 9.3, which again you don’t need those to use guided bombs and guided missiles, saying that “early missiles that does not really work against Yak” is a bold claim I must say, most early missile struggles against nimble aircraft and someone with least amount of attention to evade it.

If you ignore A-4E (Early) and A-4E (IAF) existed for almost five to six years at this point, but it’s okay, what else to expect from a close minded player that blames “Russian bias” in the first opportunity while eating whatever “content” creators be spitting on a video. Again, I recommend using those linked threads to discuss this topic.

what??? are you arcade player? CCIP appears only on 9.7BR for USA, what you listed has nothing common to what in game

  1. CCIP in Realistic Battles significantly improves capability of weapon jet carries. Having one does not require calculating in mind trajectory and jet speed to drop bombs and unguided missiles efficiently, game directly shows you where it will land.
2)If you so much worry about your Yak, then remember, on 9.3BR you meet terrible FIM ground-to-air missile your jet capable to dodge without countermessures (same as Phantom C, which was set on 9.7BR ), you can drop 4 (!) TV bombs which is twice more than your imbalanced A-4E, 4 guaranteed kills. AGM-12B saclos missile which demands from player a lot of hours of training just to adapt to control, this missile requiers direct hit due to lack of explosive mass, you cannot land missile near soviet tank and destroy, you must hit upper turret, or to use 2 AGM-12C and calculate trajectory, find targets by own eyes and still be vulnerable to every SPAA while controlling missile. You just have to try it in person so you stop saying about strong AGM-12.
  2. Plenty of jets on 8.7-9.3BR have CCIP, other nations have CCIP jets, only USA gets it on 9.7BR, A-4E even cannot cover that gap with its 2 TV bombs and only as clan vehicle, this jet is good for skilled player but not for average one and player rather will research other vehicles than A4E while AlphaJet and Yak for every user in TT, 2 players on Yak can easily cut whole remaining team… There is no missile that can fight this jet on 8.3-9.7

Indeed, CCIP is always welcome, but for guided bombs those only serve as reference points of when (generally) to drop the bomb, although the A-4E (Early) and others has CCRP which will workout just the same as it will also display a reference point of when to drop the bomb, which nonetheless should hit the target because it’s guided, it will adjust the trajectory towards the target unlike dumb bombs which the CCIP is necessary for fast and accurate striking, which is completely optional on the A-4E and Yak-130 as both airplanes has access to guided bombs.

Seems to be the other way around, I’ve never created threads complaining about the Yak-130 and never created threads complaining about A-4E (Early) or similars, it’s fine as it’s in my opinion. In fact both Yak-130 and A-4E has some similarty if you not consider the huge gap in difference on the air flight performance which is obviously in favour for the Yak-130. A-4E (Early) has access to five total smart ordinances those being x2 AGM-62A Walleye I and x3 AGM-12B Bullpup, if you conserve at least one AGM-62A you’ll be able to use it’s TV camera with enhanced zoom distances to engage targets at great distances with the AGM-12B, specially anti-air vehicles.

I’ve purposely targetted the T-72B as it’s covered in explosive reactive armor and it’s a Soviet vehicle for your sake. AGM-12B can definitely destroy most targets (even by splashing) you’ll face at battle rating 9.3 range, but shocker, you need skill, yes that apply to most if not all vehicles. (see attachment) If I really cared about the Yak-130 I would be creating thread after thread asking for a proper battle rating increase (to battle rating 10.7 preferably) if the countermeasure pods and R-73 air-to-air missiles were to be added, I would not be advocating to powercreep a vehicle to unrealistically outperform other vehicles.

Cry me rivers. Get in a squadron and get the airplane, simply as that, it’s easier to have a squadron vehicle than it’s to research one from the tech tree as it’s required little effort to get enough activity points (which you don’t need to reach 360 activity points/2 days to have the full 20,000 Research Points, in fact 160 if I’m not wrong) and eventually the vehicle is unlocked.

So use the M247 then. iirc, its a very very potent SPAA with 40mm HE-VT

Drain its energy with multiple missiles so it stops barrel rolling them and dies.

It doesnt ignore flares, you should learn how to dodge irccm missiles.

in fairness. Stingers are a complete mess that Gaijin has spent the last 2 years actively ignoring reports for after stating that they dont believe the reports are true because IGLA cant do the same.

I know Fim-72s are different to stinger, but would not be surprised if they were likewise neglected.

IGLA basically never misses because of how gaijin has it modeled.

Those are ground based sidewinders as far as Im aware. 72g is one with stinger seeker. So your suspicion might be right at least seeker-wise.

Maybe Im missing something but I dodged it numerous times with pre flaring and flaring. And saw plenty of pilots flaring it.

Im less pertaining to flaring, or even necessarily the pilot taking defensive action and more just firing hte missile at the target and it just missing.

Tried to take the Stormer AD out last week, and I could not get the Stingers to work. Every single one just missed targets flying in a straight line not flaring.

Something i odnt think is quite right at the moment with them.

Well thats quite messed up. Never had this issue myself tho, took out gepard a2 and ozelot few days ago to harass 9.x jets and they were dying just fine. Beside times where missile just refuses to launch due to some infuriating bug.

Thats just a given, I think the lock ranges are also way too low as well.

But its the reason I just use the Rapier instead these days, just wish it did damage.

I wanted to use it for yak hunting as well because it should be busted with radar screen. But I didnt have it unlocked unfortunately.

Yeah, its solid, in all other respects other than the fact the misisles dont actually produce any spall.

Had a light heli take 4 missiles the other day. Would also love a multi-vehicle version for like 10.3 that uses the trailer version

No RWR either so the Sgt York can lock it up to get a lead indicator and fill its face with HE-VT with zero warning

I think there is a bug in the heli damage models, I have had both my Type 93 and 87(c) hit EC Tigers multiple times and only getting a crit then hits afterwards

Its possible, but Rapier also produces about 5% of the spall that equivalent explosive mass SAMs do

Rapier

RB70 Mk2

So whether it was the heli damage model, or the missile or both isnt clear

Damn, that is bad.

Yup… but not a bug according to Gaijin

Somehow thing called “petard” obliterates heavy armor yet thing called “rapier” hits like real life petard
