Somehow thing called “petard” obliterates heavy armor yet thing called “rapier” hits like real life petard
Yet another post complaining about a the yak 130 doing something that the an american jet (in two seperate trees no less) has been doing for 5+ years.
Honestly both of them should be 9.7 or higher but i guarantee you only the 130 will go up with the next br changes and the A4s will remain untouched because of idk Russian bias or something…
Spoiler
Real ball knowers will remember the times when people complained about nords on the G.91 and there was barely ever a peep about bullpups on the A-4 which were infinitely better.
CCRP poops itself and stops working above mach speeds, so the F-100D isn’t particularly usable.
Are you really struggling to shoot down a flareless plane with (basically) Aim-9Ds?
Just use the M247 with proxy rounds. It’s the best spaa hands down with tracking. I don’t know why you would even bother unlocking the trash spaa.
Uh… no it doesnt.
It doesn’t, 3M342 is flared in the exact same way as the FIM-92s
Point the nose towards/away from it and flare while pulling in a spiral
Same as any shutoff IRCM missile
I am sorry, you are correct. CCRP does not poop itself at supersonic speeds. It poops itself at transonic speeds.
The second one still misses, though it was due to me not being centered. The actual distance the bomb flew was perfect.
Ive successfully killed targets in the Jaguar, at Mach 0.9, at higher altitudes using a Tpod targeted CCRP point with an unguided weapon multiple times.
Are you manually pressing the release or letting the bombing computer handle the release point?
because I dont see “Weapon release permission” at the bottom of your screen
Interesting, when I tried using F-100D in GRB, my bomb would always overshoot if I went too fast. Same happens for the Canberras aswell, the bombs would overshoot the bombsight and miss bases entirely if I didn’t drop early.
I’m not sure why “Weapon release permission” isn’t appearing in test drive for me, however you can tell I was holding spacebar because 1. The ring goes spiky when you hold space, and 2. The camera instantly started tracking the bomb when it dropped.
Jsut to make sure there is no new issues.
Did some testing, CCRP is working as expected. Accuracy from such heights is inherrently a little inaccurate because of the absolute level of precision needed isnt possible, perticuarly in third person.
Ive never had any issues in any other aircraft I routinely fly (Tornado, Buc, Harrier, etc etc)
Cant test the F-100D, but I see no reason why it would be different.
Ive never had issues with the Canberra or equivalents like the Mossie with higher alt drops.
Sounds more like an issue at your end, not anything necessarily to do with CCRP or bomb sights. In matches Id say it was a latency issue, but shouldnt be in a test flight
Did notice that too in my tests this evening. But yeah, nailed every target within an acceptable margin of error for a 10-12k ft drop. Certainly no overshoot.
How are you setting the CCRP point in the first place? Are you actually zooming in on the map all the way?
Also, have you tried adding a slight dive, around 10-15°
Ok finally not so op imp chap
Edit nah played and still killed one with ease
Not a duel situation/
The russian spaa with those missiles is at 9.3 while chaparral is 9.0. It should be better in some case. Thought the fim72 gets better pull.
The issue is that the mim72e should have its smokeless motor returned. It was pretty decent back then because even jets with flares would get hit because they could see the missile.
Saldy, they removed it and turned the mim72e into a 1:1 copy of the mim72c then lowered its br because it became much worse.
I used FIM-72 before, months - year ago it was way better, missile could reach target, playing recently I’m not satisfied with missile at all, I fired missile and its just randomly makes strange moves and fly into land, opposite side but on sensor replay I see my missile seeker head sees jet, has enough speed on its working distance 3-6km to chase and just fly away because jet turned aside.
I always wonder why people think test drive reflects real battles
Any cannon spaa isn’t effective begging with early jets, if only pilot’s flight is straight
To be fair, I think the APS destroyed the missile and killed a lot of its damage.
Pure stats never shows how effective jet will be for average user, Abrams in most parameters superior than other tanks, but yet average player plays it in very low k/d, it only shows capability. Yak-130 has CCIP for rockets/bombs and cannon, it can spin faster than other jets and any dogfight much higher chance to win, its way comfortable for average player, and if to compare to any other ± 9.3BR jets - it wins. All of those complaints you can see, have reason, aviation for USSR is way comfortable and simple, who will deny it, they want way simplier, laser gun, Death Star. Yak deserves only 2 KABs as balance or at least 9.7BR, with its great maneuverability can sit on same as F4C. Yak is less skill depended jet and it sits in tech tree which affects on mass
This is what most missiles will do in battles if to not hit directly, real gameplay more random
Still. The fact it got intercepted by APS is a factor. Not saying that missiles are crazy strong but you cant really compare both cases.
