I’m trying to get the Battle Pass Combat Brotherhood so I spawned my Amiens…only to die ~15 seconds later to a destroyer. Then later I spawn a bomber…only to die ~30 seconds later to a bot in a Groza that’s 5km away. Gaijin said they made these changes so Naval Arcade Battles were friendlier for new players. Ergo, the best way to be friendly to new players is to spawn kill them. The great minds at Gaijin have figured out that what really makes a player stick around is instadeath. I can just see that Gaijin focus group:
Gaijin: As a new player, which would you prefer?
A) Getting shot in real life.
B) Giving us every penny you have.
C) Losing your ship/boat in the first 30 seconds of a match.
Later at the Gaijin dev meeting:
Gaining: Its unanimous. New players want to die in 30 seconds.
Hot take: This is really a cost saving move by Gaijin. If they make naval suck enough, there will be fewer players and thereby spend less money renting the cheap potato servers they use to run the battles.
