and they also have an abysmal radar and RWR for the BR
do you know what is at 13.0?
the gripen with an HMD, good radar, infinte countermeasures and one of the best flightmodels in game
and if the flanker would really be that OP at 13.0, why are there a few other jets that have better KDs than it in RB (where the Flanekr already is at 13.0)
TLDR it is fine at 13.0 in RB so why wouldnt it in SIm
heck even the F-2A ADTW does quite well for being a premium
Never had any issues of my own in the Su-33 against even F-16s, Rafales (pre-nerf) and F/A-18s. Yes, all WVR. Maybe I fought especially bad pilots, but they never made me feel totally outmatched. The only threat was HOBS MICA at close range outside of multipath.
Su-33 is a gigantic, heavy kite. That’s just a fact. But it’s a very solid 13.0 BR fighter. F-15E is a rocketship, but it’s not beating much in a dogfight if they engage with engines at max and high speed. They make circles the size of Texas.
in sim alot of people tend to be completly helpless whenever they get into a dogfight, they just start to monkey pull and try to get their missiles to kill you
the problem is when youhave an equal pilot to you in any of those jets you mentioned
And those are comparisons to 13.0 planes in RB. The argument is that the Su-27 is too powerful in sim to ever see anything less than 14.0 BR because currently anything 13.3 never has a bracket below that.
The argument was that Su-27 was too powerful to fight planes with AIM-7Ms all the time and would be unbalanced. The other side argued that it would be balanced, because there are planes like Gripens, premium F-18s or Fox 3 slingers at 13.0. The counter argument was that these planes are undertiered, not the Su-27 overtiered.
No one said Su-27 deserves to suffer against 14.0s. You make it sound like people were saying Su-27 fighting 14.0s is fine and that it’s powerful enough to fight them. From the beginning it was an argument of what is the lesser evil.
None of that matters anymore though, because the problem has been solved with a 13.3 bracket and AIM-120s for F-16s to counter MiG-29SMT, which is a nearly perfect solution. I don’t know why you still argue.
So you agree that MiG-29SMT either needed a counterpart at 13.3 like F-16 ADF with AMRAAMs or had to go to 13.7. Because without F-16s with AMRAAMs it would dominate 13.3.
