Why no Su27S flanker at 13.0 yet?

I mean the title speaks for itself, why hasn’t gaijin lowered the first flanker down in BR to 13.0 instead of 13.3?
They haven’t even bothered to create a 13.3 bracket to compensate.

All of this while as of currently, much better aircrafts than the flanker sit at a lower br, the latest one being the newly introduced F2 ADTW, which is on par, if not outright better than the su27 (it’s not for nothing if it has now taken the title of the best 13.0).

Lowering the su27 would not only put it in a spot where it would be actually enjoyable to play, it would give ussr (and consequently redside as well) an actual competent plane (and in big numbers too) that could act as a balancing tool against the blueside powercreep that sits at that BR.

Then people will say, “just wait for a 13.3 bracket”.

Well, i have been waiting for it, or even better WE the sim community have been waiting for it, and yet nothing.

The 13.3 bracket should have realistically come when the 14.0 BR had been introduced and yet here we are, with nothing.

Besides, if there was an actual hypothetical 13.3 bracket, it would be completely ruled by redfor due to the kind of 13.3 vehicles they possess (Jf17, su34, MiG29-SMT, su33 etc)

So if red will endup stomping anyway, why not lower the Su27S at 13.0 where it can actually have an impact and make a difference?

I am not the only one who thinks the flankers should be lowered, as much better players than me also think the same

As some others will, as I’ll do: it’s the compression. I tried to use some of these SARH buses at this battle rating, it’s not impossible but it’s not the pleasant gameplay you’ll find while playing an plane with ARH weaponry against planes that depends on constant lock into the target to destroy it at longer distances like Su-27.

While yes there is compression, it is mostly an issue of the flanker being overtiered in current sim EC

13.0 is a really terribly compressed BR. We need a 13.3 BR and actually move several 13.0s back to 13.3. otherwise we might as well move all 13.3s down to 13.0.

Though Su27 are really potent in 1v1s as the R27Es destroy everything. I consider them more dangerous than an ICE slinging AMRAAMs

su-27 is one of the worst 13.0s for duels

It has some of the best dogfighting IR missiles for the BR and the most powerful SARH in game by no small margin. In a gamemode like ASB where you can concentrate your effort and energy onto a single target, and not a swarm of 16 players, you can rain hell down onto that target.

The other 13.0 meta-mobiles can pretty readily deal with R-27ER through use of multi-pathing or notching.

R-27ER is also like top 3 missiles in performance wise in long range shots beating out a lot of the fox 3s in outright performance rn

First you need to get lock,which is impossible with that garbage radar.

su-27/j-11/su-33 all deserve to be at 13.0…
Most matches are denmark, which makes multipathing missiles extremely easy.
Even then, experienced players know that (as long as you get a modern rwr) that notching missiles even the 27er isn’t too difficult.
If the f-2, grippy, f-15a etc can all be at 13.0…
why can’t the su-27, which is worse than those 3 btw also be at 13.0?
The flankers other than the su-33 don’t even get a modern rwr (tho spo 15 is still usable)
In an ideal world none of these planes would be at 13.0 and would instead be at 13.3 with a 13.3 bracket, but we all know decompression ain’t happening.
curretly, f-15a, grippy and f-2 slam the 13.0 thanks to their amazing fm, and amazing ir missiles (aam3 and 9m are utterly disgusting in sim matches, 95 percent of my kills are due to those missiles).

Then might as well move the Mig-29SMT and Tornado F3 Late down to 13.0 as well and then move a load of 13.0s down to 12.7 like the Sea Harrier FA2, Viggen Di, etc.

I would say there’s a difference between letting fox 1 and fox 3 carriers down a br, although i definitely think f3 late can be 13.0 (it’s pretty damn sad). surprised it isn’t at 13.0 already, imo it’s worse than the german phantom

There are very few aircraft at 13.3 left, what is needed is a 13.3 bracket and to move some 13.0s back up to 13.3. Instead of moving all 13.3s down to 13.0 and making 13.0 even more compressed than it already is. Most of the Fox-1 slingers at 13.0 are probably stronger than the Fox-3 slingers in most respects. Most of them are 12.0 ish aircraft with major weaknesses that are only at their BR due to their Fox-3s. Defeat those and they become a free kill.

No point leaving 2 aircraft at 13.3 if every other 13.3 worthy aircraft has already been moved down to 13.0. And if 13.0 is now full of 13.3s then the actually 13.0 aircraft (especially those that probably should be 12.7 anyway) need to move down.

As it stands, I already see 0 point trying to play the Sea Harrier FA2 because its outclassed by pretty much everyone ontop of it being a buggy and unfinished mess.
