Why Multipassing Should Be Removed Immediately

bad energy production and low twr makes it lose alot of energy while notching and it takes a while to get it back. Its definetly not bad but it is kinda worse compared to the others

Notch angle->chaff chaff chaff->missile goes into iog-> you change direction

Yea, show me how you do it in the chaos that ARB is. There is no way they will do this.
And you wont show me because it wont work 80% of the time, unless you sit in the back at high altitude.

nah thats just a skill issue on your end sorry bud

Anyone good at the game will already know how to mitigate MP either by manually lofting a missile fired at lower alt or not flying low.

I rarely ever sit low enough to use MP and usually then only in a ground attacker.

My average alt these days in a fighter, even one as weak as notching as a Tonka, is 10k ft

clearly works for me despite me being relatively bad at the game. I suggest watch videos to learn how to notch.

also whats wrong with this ? Thats the the best position to be in at top tier

So true!!! I hate driving when someone skips ahead of 4 people on the road. These road laws need to be changed this instant!!! Not sure what multipassing has to do with warthunder tho.

what and who are you passing it to

There is nothing wrong with it, but there are planes which can’t do that.
And i know everybody here is a demi god notching multiple missiles at the same time from any angle.

Just making sure. Please make that clear when you’re replying to me because I’m replying to somebody who wants it removed entirely.

I’m all for it being realistic, but not removed.

I’m just imagining using the Gripen without multipath. I do also notch in it, but that often leads to me being in uncomfortable positioning. You bleed speed, produce way less energy than other fighters in the same situation. Not to mention that you have other aircraft at 13.7 that can alone, by themselves, overwhelm you with missiles because your best loadout is 4+2.

Wouldn’t make them any less oppressive? Sparrows aren’t always the most reliable, however removing multipathing would make these aircraft absolute demons against bad RWRs.

Ah yes, the F-104S ASA. Its almost like the later F-104s are almost always complained about and the only usable one past the F-104J is the TAF, which is a notorious base bomber as if you do anything else with it, a MiG-23 or F-4 will decimate you from long range since you have no launch warning.

Can’t wait for the Russian bias outcry when they all get clapped by R27ER when they can’t multipath anymore.
Just notch bro.

The friendly R-27 flying at mach stupid towards the F-104S ASA

yeah people who claim hey can notch multiple at once or whatever are just making stuff up. But most planes can play 5km altitude just fine and notch

are you talking about active and passive scanning radar ?

the only guy I’ve seen do that reliably is Bad Karma but he’s a freak of nature.

While the physical phenomenom is real, it doesn’t really affect modern missiles

And thankfully i might add, otherwise surface vessels would be unable to defend theirselves against sea skimming missiles

For example The SAMP/T 'Mamba' - History, Design, Performance & Discussion - #61 by UNN_Daedalos (Aster uses a derivative of MICA seeker, and i don’t think only the french and italians would be able to make a seeker “multi-path resistant”)

4m for Aster, at least (it’s probably even lower)

And i’m ready to bet it’s the same thing for AMRAAM, R77, Derby, PAC-2 & 3, you name it. Stating that multipath is real is a thing, but denying the progress of signal processing since the 60s is a bit of a shortcut imo

It should be reduced to historical levels, while we are given stock chaff and preferably a 10v10 max playercount above 11.0.

Nerfing it will go a long way to making the game better, and allowing climbing as a solid tactic.

I mean he is also just cherry picking clips. I can do that too. I did that like 3 or 4 times. But out of 400 games minimum. So its just not feasible to try.

I think Devil has a source for CAMM being the same. I think its even suppose to be able to target light naval ships or something
