Yes, sometimes you can do that, in SB too, but it’s not reliable … Ali Express radar.
Sometimes, you don’t see a thread comming headon towards you at 20km, and you see something at 70km. That’s death !!!
The normal PD mode of the F-16 radar gives you reliable information, it doesn’t kill you.

The only time I have been able to fly F-16A in a match that wasn’t too unbalance towards Team A, Mig-29s were easy meat for the Falcon. BTW, I had only 2 AIM 9Ls, almost stock.
That’s another one, with the Mig29 you are allways outnumbered

I partially agree.
- F-16A ADF should get AIM-9M
- MiG-29 should get R-73s, have R-27ER/ETs removed, have it’s R-27R/Ts buffed (they miss a sustainer entirely and have too high drag, irl R-27’s special trait was low drag) and have it’s flight model fixed if it’s broken. Then the MiG-29 can be a 13.0. I have no clue about Yak-141.
Currently German MiG-29G with R-73s and R-27ERs sits at 13.0 and makes the F-16A ADF look like a joke.

MiG-29G has TWS, 90 degrees gimble limit HMS, a 40G thrust vectoring IR missile with IRCCM, and THE best SARH missile in the game.
F-16A ADF has a better flight model and RWR…

Yak-141 is just one of those aircraft that wasn’t needed and still isn’t really. Either they remove the R-27E’s and move it down to 12.0 or they give it R-77 and R-73 and move it up to 13.7. it’s got a lot of good things going for it and right now it shouldn’t be lower than an F-16.
So AV-8B Plus 14.0, because AMRAAM are better than R-77, isn’t it !!!
You don’t even need to play, just join SB matches at 12.7 and 13.0 and you’ll see who’s dominating: F-16A, F-14B, M2K, AV-8B Plus, F-16AJ, F-16ADF, F-15A; M4K …

It should be 13.3 at the very least.
Everyone knows why USA is more popular than Russia at top tier. Their planes are famous, the best in real life and are featured in Hollywood. It has nothing to do with how good Russian planes are. Even if it was F-14 vs SU-57, people would still play the F-14.
Because they would pick a good aircraft over a fat and ugly aircraft.
No way, when they released the Mig29 it was very popular in War Thunder before they nerfed it, and buffed the F-16 …
But even if you were right, the BR of the Mig29 wouldn’t matter, since nobody plays it, people prefer for Team B the F-16AJ, F-16MLU, Mirage 2000, Mirage 4000, F-15J … so why moan about a plane is not being used.

Yes, and look at enemy team, twice as many players … not all are them, in blue team you had to scroll to see them all. So much more people are playing american F-16, F-15 and F-14.
In red team, there are much much more people that have Germany and Rusia, but china and japan have an importan representation in every match.
Many people having the Mig29 prefer not to fly it, even if they would balance the matches, they prefer to be in 2 vs 1 in team blue.
