Why I bomb bases in premium fighter jets

Yeah… your claim is right…
Playing Tornado IDS nowadays is nothing but being the dead weight of the team…

Base bomber which can’t bomb base.
Interdictor which can’t penetrate behind enemy lines.
Attack Aircraft, which is forced to go A2A instead and ends up with a mediocre fighter.

Just in the same fate as Heavy bombers like Lancaster or B-17 does.

Still, bombing bombers or attackers in the intended role should weigh differently compared to
Fighter which disposes missiles and bombs the base instead.

What the bean bags is this thread? Do NOT bomb in fighters, it is the most atrocious and scummiest way to play this game. You hang dedicated strike aircraft out to dry just because you can’t play this game.

Deal with it? It’s just gone back down in BR too. It’s perfectly fine at it’s current BR. Stock grinding is always bad and is on every aircraft.

Except for on dedicated strike aircraft. What are THEY meant to do stock grinding when they can’t get to bases and when their air to air capability is sometimes completely null or barely even a cannon?

‘Forced’ dogfight just like Tornado or Vark doing nowadays maybe…? :|

I think i am somewhat acceptable to multirole jets.
(Both F-105 and F-4C striked vietnam. Right?)

But also thinks ‘Strappin bomb in J-7D/F-8E’ of OP sounds bit annoying.

i have better KD on A-10A late (got it recently) than F-4C. and most of my kills were from guns too, ppl flare the 9L really easily. in F-105D, i could outrun most jets and now that its 10.0 (could be 9.7 tbh) it doesnt have to race tornados, and F-105D, even with no flares, has good gun.

might do this since it doesnt take up any missile slots. and would supplement earnings

and yeah, US F-4, F-105, and F-100 all striked stuff in vietnam.

I base bomb in P-51

(This is a joke, please do not impale me)

Well no wonder, it can turn better, has better missiles, has flares, is at a higher BR. Of course a flareless plane in a tricky BR rating is going to be a challenge to play. The F-4C is hard to balance because it’s fast, it has lots of missiles, it has radar missiles, but also has no flares and a bad radar. It is GOING to be a challenge.

they really really suck though. it should get base AIM-7E, an AN/AAQ-8 IRCM

Impale him!!!

So you move it up to 10.7 where it faces MiG-23ML and MLD, then you complain again when you get smited from every all aspect missile in existance and beg for it to be put down again.

or leave it at 10.0 with AIM-7E and AAQ-8\

maybe only AAQ-8 for 10.0

Which will be incredibly overpowered. The AIM-7E is still a good missile at 11.0, putting it at 10.0 would be broken, 10.3 acceptable, but with AAQ-8, would be pretty undertiered.

how much would this even help against heat seekers though?

Quite a bit, from the behind. That’s my issue, it would be acceptable to have it with IRCM at 10.3, OR AIM-7E, but with AIM-7E and AN/AAQ-8, it should be at 10.7.

if AAQ-8 is a 10.3 system. and AIM-7E is a 10.3 missile. with F-4C being a 10.0 airframe. it could still be 10.3

this would fit bc you also use rockets for flaring and this probably would make up for the lacking flares. combined with aim7e it would be a menace at 9.7, since most of these planes need to climb.

With AN/AAQ-8 and AIM-7E, it will effectively be a slightly worse F-4EJ. That’s all there is to it. F-4EJ is at 11.0, so 10.7 would be fair for the F-4C. If it was at 10.3, you’d have them going up against MiG-19s, MiG-21s with no flares, meh cannons, meh speeds (compared to Phantom), and missiles that the AN/AAQ-8 would completely negate, all the while you launch AIM-7Es at them which are invisible because of their RWR.

Exactly.
