Why do CAS players so vocally oppose any suggestions

I’ve not shifted the goalposts at all.

You’re the one claiming there’s nothing “unfair” about having to face a bloody av8b or mig or f86 or what have you in a 5.3 bosvark, while also dodging wiesels and marders rolling around and one tapping your team from behind.

There’s nothing unfair about the game in it’s entirity as you have the ability to change everything by merely squading and changing your lineup to avoid those deadspots you so proclaim.

Your issue is by your choice… Your choice to play the mode to get tanks, and your choice to not be actively trying to make a difference.

You and your team can’t hold onto any objectives if you aren’t making kills.

All nations should have equally good options at a given BR.

That is literally hide and seek.
You’re actively trying to hide from something that you have no means of killing. Peak gameplay.

Considering some maps have only 400-500m between spawn and caps, your hiding area is pretty limited. It’s not hard to find a target in such a cramped space.

I can fly in air sim, air rb without squadding and have high effectiveness.

Why must I squad up to play my centurions, a stand-alone package?

Yea but you can do that already. I know because its the core strategy of my British 3.3 line up. Spawn the SARC6, rush a cap, scout some dudes, get a kill or two, then spawn the Hellcat and bomb/rocket/50cal whatever I can.

By applying it to both tanks and planes you’re not taking away an existing feature you’re just expanding it. Everyone wins.

The team can make the kills, you aren’t a detriment to them by not making any.

Then suggest the fillers as I’ve mentioned elsewhere prior.

It’s actually being tactical.

Again, battles include tactics, and staying alive and being unnoticable are some of those tactics.

Then map knowledge comes into play and you should know where to go to avoid the spawnsnipe scenario, let alone being open to being shot from the air.

Cool story because this thread isn’t about air or sim.

Because if you don’t like being vulnerable, then someone can cover you, if you squad…

Otherwise you’re relying on the team to protect you, which obviously isn’t working out…

The problem with this is reserve tanks don’t get scouting. Nothing at Rank 1 does.

That said there are plenty of Rank II viable light tanks that do the same job and also get scouting for that spawn cost reduction.

However I like my idea better. Scouting reduces the cost of your next spawn only, but it can be a tank or a plane.

Also to be clear my 3.3 line up has more than just the SARC and the Hellcat. I have the Firefly too and more tanks. If I get put back on the ground the Cromwell RP-3 is my next spawn. The rest of the line up is more situational with the Achilles for sniping and the Churchill I for heavy tanking. Theres an SPAA too, it really is a solid line up.

Why can I play Warthunder in 2 of its modes with ANY nation and ANY BR without having to squad and be able to have fun, have reasonable to high impact and effectiveness…

But I’m not allowed to play British line-ups because my only options are die without a chance to fight back (centurion, eland), die with the possibility of taking 1 guy down with me as I die to missile splash damage or a wiesel/marder zipping around (Bosvark) or fight back and get zero reward for my efforts (spawn a spitfire).

I’m forced to squad up with a stranger to play my centurion in peace!

What amazing game design and balance.

“I can be the burden to them team because someone else is going to do the job for me”

Because the modes you are comparing them to aren’t the same hurr durr…

What amazing cognitive disonance…

Me with my AGM-12B Bullpups as a mentally impaired player easily destroying SPAAs from standoff distance, it’s a joke lol. Let’s stop the facade that it requires giga brain gameplay and immense skills 😂

Your arguments are really out of touch with reality.

Imagine claiming “It’s not unfair for a 5.3 vehicle to be the only thing that can fight back against 6.7-8.7 aircraft” and upon being pressed, you say, “It’s not unfair because you can squad up.”

if we’re talking 7.7 don’t forget about the best vehicle in the game, the mighty Fox! Also it’s new friend the Scimitar, and the big bad Conq.

Its… literally basic math. If you have 100 GRB players, and 50% of them play TO instead, GRB now only has 50 players.

There is exactly two places you can destroy it. From the rear, with a 0* shot through the bottom of the engine, or from a tiny spot in the turret ring - a spot that is utter volumetric hell, and at any range is unviable. Hell, even stuff like the Finnish BMP-2 faces it.

And fun fact - it is technically possible to kill aircraft with tanks, even with those with low velocity cannons!

If aircraft are easy to counter, people play SPAA more, and are properly balanced for their ordinance… you can still have Tank vs Tank combat. Hell, you can already just have Tank vs Tank combat.

If you want TO for all modes, AB must be brought up. Simple as.

Fair, although I havn’t gotten around to buying/crewing those. U.S aircraft been eating my SL lately.

Fixed it

What if they follow suit and stop making kills as well ? Who will make kills then ?

So it’s not as balanced as you’re implying. Got it.

Tactical at playing hide and seek. Doing nothing but hiding and evading indefinitely is a pretty weird concept in a PvP game.

Battles include killing your opponents as a way to win a game. Just hiding because you have no means to counter an enemy is not good gameplay.

Enemy pilot can easily be aware of those spots, so you’re basically making his life easier. Also, not many spots actually provide solid cover from air threats.

But we are not working on 100 people but rather on much larger number that probably can support both modes running.

The difference is that while in tank Your skill takes part in the equation of if You will succed or not, when it comes to air the only thing important is if air player is dumb enough.

Anything to back it up rather than assumptions that just because it got easier people are going to do it rather than play tanks as they want?

But yet again, I’m not a proper person to talk about it.

Genuinely you owe it to yourself to get the Fox if nothing else. It’s so ridiculously fun to play. Here’s a highlight clip.
