(NOTE THIS IS NOT A VEHICLE SUGGESTION JUST A, SUGGESTION OF AN REPLACEMENT!)
I think some people would like to see this change because the Pantsir-S1 is very powerful when it comes to range compared to other nations, and why add it before the TOR-M2 in the first place?
Pantsir range: 18km
TOR-M2 range: 12km
As you can see 12km is the same as VT-1 that is already in the game. Not to mention the TOR is already in the chinese Tech-Tree (M1) version.
There is an wheeled version of the TOR-M2 aswell.
Have you ever tried to play with Pantsir following the changed missle ballistics? The missle itself got nerfed like every other SPAA, even after making minor correction, it starts to fly left and right across entire screen and looses energy that way, or doesnt pull hard enough to hit target that do a barrel roll.
TOR-M2 is superior to the Pantsir-S1 and also it has 16km range with its x16 9M338 missiles. You outta do more research before suggesting something like this.
Lies. The Pantsir came with the missile ballistics that the Flakrad and Ito90 had to endure for 3 months. Pantsir was never nerfed. It still has twice the effective range of the VT-1 and is better in every single way than the Ito or Flakrad, with critical features like no RWR track warning, multi target, better IRST, better thermal, guns, radar range and elevation, auto lead etc etc (same BR btw)
ITO features a missile with superior flight performance to its maximum range.
ITO & Flarakrad also feature IRST same as Pantsir so tracked targets don’t know you’re tracking them.
You don´t even own Pantsir and never played with it. Your opinion is irrelevant. Pantsir missle is very slow and it takes ages before it reaches its max speed and even after that it looses it very quickly, the acceleration issue is the core problem of the unability to pull hard enough. The auto mod is pretty trash, if you had either Pantsir or Tor, you´d knew. Its just better to choose one of em and never use the auto.
I’m not touching the most hand held tree in the game. I play 2000-5F and Flarakrad, it’s enough to understand that the Pantsir is completely busted and that its capabilities are far above anything else in-game, just like every other top tier Russian ground unit.
B-b-b- but it has IRST too
Strawman. Go back to spamming the Mirage 2000 thread with HEAT talks
b-b-b-but it loses acceleration and it’s slow
VT-1 is much worse and it’s unusable past 8km, it can’t even hit straight line target which it could do easily with auto lead.
Pantsir should absolutely give a RWR track warning btw. That’s probably the most ridiculous thing about this overpowered pos. What is the reasoning for this? You can’t guide a missile accurately with TWS alone, and if they’re trying to model some kind of IRST/radar hybrid tracking system, then it should be vulnerable to flares
Dude, I tested against Pantsir & TOR-M1 using Tornado IDS & F-16.
We aren’t spammers for stating facts. Pantsir missiles are the easiest to dodge at top BR. I have zero deaths against them in random battles.
BTW 15 posts is at most 15 minutes.
Should support these 2 suggestions to spread some Pantsir to other tree’s. Obviously not an ideal situation, but pandoras box is open now that gaijin added the stupid thing, and atleast itd prevent Russia from being the only nation ingame with Pantsir class SHORAD
Its a long shot in the sense that gaijins obviously biased and unlikely to implement it, as well as the Russian playerbase having a MASSIVE hissy fit over it, sure. But its technically speaking the most sensible balancing decision regarding AA in ground RB they could make, and would not require much work making seeing as most of the assets for it are largely already ingame with the Pantsir S1 and the Flarakrad
Well, both of these nations have a few domestic options, US still has M-Shorad, Multi-Mission Launcher, SLAMRAAM and Avenger, I may have missed a few, you could also include the HEMTT CIWS.
As for Germany they also have options such as 9K33 Osa, Skyranger 30, MEADS and potentially even IRIS-T.
Gaijin mentioned they were working on something for Japan, and whatelse could it be but the Type 81, perhaps it’ll open up the possibility for multi-system units.
