Is the SU-27’s fm underperforming I’m seeing mixed opinions here?
Its underperforming along with the mig-29 because of legacy balance both airframes have significantly more drag than they should, you can blame this on gaijins poor balancing from when they first added the russian 4th gens and tried to make them the BVR trucks while the F-16 was initially added as the dogfighting equivalent. Then when the US and everyone else got better BVR capabilities than anything the the migs and flankers have they weren’t just relegated to being poor dogfighters but also poor missile Slingers as well since they have the worst missiles paired with the worst radars at toptier.

The poor flight models right now are the leftovers of balancing top tier from several years ago basically.

In my opinion, not that much, since the Mig-29 (9-13) and Su-27S already have competition at the same br that would be more than capable of dealing with them, even with better flight models. Like the F-16A for the Mig-29, or the F-15A for the Su-27.
Depends on the Su-30. There are Su-30s with improved radar or PESA radar. Some also get TVC and Canards.
Also Bars radar is only “marginally less capable” than the Ibris-E.

I mean there’s the Su-27SM3 which is a very marginal upgrade from the Su-27SM. Slightly better engines and 2 more missile pylons. Or we could just get Su-30s, they won’t be game breaking.

As of right now the F-15A is no competition against the Su-27S. The Su-27S is just straight up a better aircraft even at the same BR, giving it a better FM could warrant a BR increase.
Fine by me, I’d much rather see the Su-27 get justice for it’s flight model, the Su-27S might bite the bullet but all future Flankers won’t be hindered by a gimped flight model.

The SU 27sm3 has a different radar. And we need SU 27M and MIG29M, J-11B

It doesnt, the only real differences between SM and SM3 are the engines.

The H035 irbis radar is installed on the CM2 and CM3
SM2 doesnt even exist and credible sources states SM3 only recieved engine upgrades over SM.
What reliable sources of information can there be about a classified fighter jet? The Russian Air Force would not update the hopelessly outdated 27cm only in terms of engines. The radar is installed from su30sm2 and from Su35, H035, there are no other options here
Then how come you can claim that SM3 recieved radar upgrade if its all classified? You’re condiracting with yourself.

Anyway, I’m sure that when added to the game, SM3 will get H035. Thus, the SM is not the most modern and best modification of the su27 that awaits us.
What makes you think we will recieve another Su-27, especially when Gaijin can add Su30SM or Su35 mdoels.
Su-27’s era is over, its time for multirole fighter such as Su-30SM and similiar Su’s.
