The Pantsir SM-SV is Simply Too Strong, Russian Bias as Clear as Day

It doesn’t help that I don’t have formatting in my old posts that don’t contain any of my takes.
The vast, vast majority of my posts don’t contain any of my takes to begin with.
They contain what others have said that were true at the time of the post to an extent.
They contain other peoples’ tactics, and preferences.
Cause the few times I do state a take, it’s after long deliberation with available information.

Like most of my air RB takes being stated by some of the best air RB players as well. Many to most of them were obtained from those players and I agreed after a batch of critical thinking.

All of my CAS takes in War Thunder were pretty much said by everyone at some point as well. Literally zero of my CAS takes saw any pushback, because we as a community were pretty much in lock step.

And now here. While sure, we’re arguing over pedantics, we’re all in agreement that everyone needs as many top SPAA options as possible.
Yes, Pantsir SMSV is worse against FCAS, but it’s the best against munitions, by far the best against munitions.
And the munitions defeating meta is something I’m seeing and thinking “I wonder what other nations can bring to the table if this is the future of anti-CAS gameplay…”

The most absurd thing about this missile is that it can retain the main PEAK speed of Aster-30 for almost its entire flight time (20+ seconds of Mach 4 speeds), while Aster’s peak velocity begins to drop off after 5 seconds. This is crudely modeled, and once again, Gaijin is nerfing Western equipment for no reason.

Are you just now discovering sustainer burns?

Aster-30 also features a sustainer motor but isn’t modelled as such, I guess, because screw you, that’s why 🤷‍♂️

Nope, them deciding to do it (incorrectly btw, a thing that required a few fixes in the future AFAIR) in that exact moment and more than that providing immediate substitute for it and only for 1 tech tree in the entire game - is a big, glowing red sigh with some neon arrows pointing at it.

Nope, munitions is second priority for this one. It’s made to ground all helicopters and will be very successful with it. I’ll remind that it’s the only missile that you can’t dodge by hovering low in a heli. At the same time there’s a lot of maps where you can see heli spawn from the tank spawn.

i actually have one

Tan-SAM Kai is equal to Pantsir S1 is outrageous
ESPECIALLY when it lost the maddog feature

Just one more reason to move back to matches below 10.0.

This new AA is Very strong and was not needed at all am so confused why it was added?😭
like how am gonna even deal with K-38m and mi 28nm now?

it’s already hard to spawn a jet fighter a ground rb face these AA

2S6 / S1 / Buk / S1 SM-SV ???
image double spawn with backup o.o

Top tier ground is so toxic to play and very mental unhealthy to play.
girl am done

Not to toot my spyder’s horn but….

It is pretty crazy to see aster-30 underperforming the derby er at longer ranges. Rare Israel w. (Love it) but yeah the new pantsir’s Mach Jesus missile is pretty crazy with how little drag it has comparatively to everything else that’s in game (though it does have a very small war head and fuse activation only from radar lock so it has some not overwhelming capabilities compared to its fnf counterparts)

That post isn’t equating Tan-SAM Kai to Pantsir.
That last sentence never mentions Pantsir as that isn’t the point of that sentence.
I also think Tan-SAM Kai is at a weird BR of 12.0, especially when I feel CSSA5 seems like a better SPAA.

So yeah, good example of a good take from me. Tan-SAM Kai isn’t equal to Pantsir.

Yeah, 11.3 is rough.

Gotta play outside of that and its fine. Win rate wise that is

and that’s it ladies and gentleman. i will not add any further

Was your entire point to show everyone I said Tan-SAM Kai is [at least likely] inferior to Pantsir…

That post has no mention of Pantsir either.
On top of that, the only take from me in that post is “You’re supposed to compare SPAA to the CAS they have to deal with.”

It’s also missing a word I realize. It’s supposed to say “potentially equal”, because it’s not my take.

So am I correct in saying that Tan-Sam Kai is not equal to Pantsir?

and this is why you should never debate RazorVon with his bad takes
and i will stop here because it’s going OOT

If your talking about the buk being bad let me tell you that I got hit and killed on my airfield while landing btw.

It’s so funny to me that right at the moment when the us almost catches up to russia (agm84h are not on th same level as kh38mt’s o hope everyone understands that) russia get’s a new anti air with 48 small missiles made for intercepting air to ground ordinance.

I’ve never claimed Buk was bad, because I faced a Buk for over an hour figuring out its missiles.
Ultimately, I determined it was good, and an excellent counter to fixed wing CAS at 12.7 and 13.0.

Is it the best? Dunno, maybe, maybe not, but it was good enough.

I’ve noticed for a long time that with almost every patch they keep nerfing CAS. I’ve created many threads about this and written a lot, but I still don’t understand the logic. NATO aircraft and helicopters were never that overpowered at top tier. Their guns are nerfed, their missiles are nerfed — to reliably kill someone you usually have to launch at least two, preferably three. Then they added free SPAA, and now this new nonsense.

Honestly, I don’t see any reason to play anything except Russia. If their goal is to push all US mains into grinding Soviet vehicles, then that’s probably the plan. But as usual, I’m not going to spend any more money on them.

Yes and it’s so fun that russia always get a op counter every time nato gets a new ground ordinance. Stupid
