The MI28NM problem

Perhaps.
I think first-spawning A2A aircraft could be a problem in that sense, though I’d say they’re basically just as problematic as people who first-spawn SPAAs that can’t kill ground targets.
Yes those SPAAs can capture points, unlike the fighters, but it’s quite infeasible.

If they truly wanted to, there’s nothing stopping them from just mindlessly zoom around and scout or cap until they get 480 SP (I know some people that do for CAS at least).

Ground Sim Battles allow first-spawning of both helis and aircraft ( even with full A-2-G ordnance) though I don’t think I nearly have enough experience in that gamemode for me to make a well-informed and clear judgement of how problematic they are.

In my opinion, even if people first-spawn A-2-A aircraft (which don’t help at all in the ground fight), it effectively allows those that are fighting on the ground relative freedom from getting CAS’d way more than what most SPAAs and CAS mains can relieve.
Isn’t that what tankers want? Less frustrating deaths from CAS?
Isn’t that what pilots want? More engaging dogfights?
Plus they can support CAS helis and planes by supressing enemy air too, and possibly distracting SPAA.
This would also give SPAAs more (relatively) free kills ( with zero repercussion other than maybe a HE gun strafe to the ammunition).

Either way, you win by capping and killing enemy ground so ground mains still play the largest role in the team’s victory.

If this is somehow unappealing for ground mains, I honestly don’t know what will other than the addition of a tank-only gamemode.

The only issue I can see are A-2-A aircraft camping the enemy aircraft spawn, but I think a reasonably good fix for that would be the addition of multiple air spawns roughly the same distance away from the battlefield. Aircraft get marked on the map once they get close enough anyways…

AP belts costs more SP and doing this in top tier is pointless and suicidal.

AP belts for top tier aircraft isn’t really a thing other than for a select few aircraft

Mauser BK27 for example have very strong aphe even in aa belt.

And if no one spawn spaa at the beginning of the match? And even if there is an spaa, at least ir spaa (like iris-t) are easily killed by guns on 2/3 maps.

Uh? Okay? Nobody is saying these should be free to spawn at spawn like SPAA at the beginning of a match, at the very least make it easier to spawn after one or two kills. It is ridiculously expensive to spawn CAP loadouts with Fox 3 and 2.

I believe only cas-haters side. They say that cas cost is too low and any low-skill can take a full-loaded plane after making just a couple of assists. If it’s that simple, then saving up some sp for a cheaper cap isn’t a problem at all.

That being said, I don’t think cheapening CAP would hurt. If anything, it would help defeat more CAS players ( especially bad ones) before they cause devistation without having their SP cost increase (though that would definitely help too).

Nah the planes killing helis at their helipads are so bs.

They need to add gepards around the helipads, that way it’s not just a free kill.

Cuz at every br it’s annoying

i dont know about you guys, but i hate mi28nm for other reasons:

absolutely not, helipad AA was such an awful addition

True, helipad AA was incredibly annoying; And I believe it was purely visual to induce a placebo effect. Helicopters at top tier have more than enough measures to defend themselves against planes. Maybe some type of SPAAG like the M163 should be enabled for early helicopters from 8.0 to 10.0 since they have nothing to defend themselves with.

Not at top tier.

it was not

it was added the same as airfield AA and could easily kill you very quickly, then when people complained they made it purely visual, then they finally did the smart thing and got rid of it

Ah good to know, when I got into the game I arrived in the “it doesn’t do anything” stage, I wish they would bring them back for lower tier battles, at least as M163s or other SPAAG.

the issue is on many maps the close helipad is too close to the battlefield, it having AA meant that if you were in a plane you would have to avoid half the map due to the risk of the helipad AA

I feel like they should fire at other helicopters only, back when I started playing I encountered many spawn campers for what it felt almost every game. I guess there’s no real solution to the problem, at least there is a red indicator for when someone enters your helipad zone now.

Dart tanking? Bait use to be believable.
Ka-50 died to my 5.5km dart shot from my M60 AMBT…

And apparently Crazed thinks USA is “Rasha”.

@SwingfireOP
Kamovs in-game don’t have LDIRCM.

Also you think Gaijin’s trying to boost USA, China, and Soviets artificially? lol Unprecedented behavior, and an extraordinary claim.

USA already does, and has for 2 years longer than Soviets in-game.
Also buddy-lasing benefits Soviet CAS more than American CAS as Soviet tech tree CAS IRL is far more reliant on ground laser systems than American CAS, which is why targeting pods aren’t a major feature on Soviet & Russian CAS IRL.

The helicopter base should be moved further away from the battlefield so that they can’t spam the rockets and easily re arm.

issue with that is that the heli base is already far enough that it takes a while to do anything in early helis

Absolutely not having no spaa. It’s a Fob, it would have spaa just like the airfield.

You disliking that makes me assume you literally hop in a plane to kill helis.
