yep glorious
Well if we want to go that route, then Russian tanks and helis wouldn’t be able to leave their respective spawns due to the threat of MMw and accurate integrated NATO Cas, or FPV drones xD.
If russia can have access to a kill everything with impunity vehicle, then NATO should get features like Datalinking systems and accurate munitions
I’d already be happy if Oerlikons would get a frigging accuracy buff. Their gun dispersion is insane, it’s why they’re so bad without proxy against air targets. And maybe fix AHEAD? It currently works like a tiny HE with like 7 pellets. When it should be a huge cloud of pellets just shredding stuff.
its german -) gajiin is always fast there.
I want somebody on the ground in a bush covered HSTVL, to buddy lase my hellfires when I stay behind a mountain while the AAs dont even know I am there
Deployable JTACs from IFVs would be funny as hell
or scout drones lasing
or maybe even an f15 30km away popping up to lase for the hellfires right before they hit
Would definitely make Laser guided weaponry far less reliant on their IOG and far more competitive, would also increase teamplay, which is desperately needed across all BRs to improve the experience on a match by match basis
Br isn’t the issue, the LDIRCM is. It’s currently a magic shield rather than being able to defend against some Stingers. It even defends against modern SPAA, entire swarms of them. While IRL it doesn’t even reliably counters stingers and has limited arcs.
The new SPAA are for the most part entirely helpless against the MI28NM. Because the magic DIRCM just counters missiles it shouldn’t be able to counter, entire swarms too.
Well, I’m not just talking about their effectiveness against helis, but also aircraft.
There’s no reason why an AMX (11.0 strike aircraft) or AH-129 CBT (11.0 heli) should be facing IRIST in a full uptier, or really any of the other 12.0 SPAAs (especially the newer ones and the pantsir).
Yes, so until they introduce the mechanic of overwhelming these missiles as a feature for content in the next update, these helicopters should be moved up.
If you don’t want them moved up its because you want to take advantage and abuse them as long as possible before it happens.
I get strange bugs in sim all the time. Last one I got was, somehow, even though it wasn’t key bound, my nvd was linked to the radar, so if I turned it off / on I got flash banged. Sucked to play sim that day.
I don’t want the SPAAs moved up, the Helicopters can go to 15.0 as far as I’m concerned. But moving them up won’t fix that they’re currently countering their counter. And it’s not even about overwhelming them, they straight up shouldn’t deflect those missiles, much less reliably, in a bubble, and several at once.
At best they should deflect manpads, and they’re not even that good at that and have a limited arc for their deflection.
Most of the SACLOS SPAAs (if played well) can counter helis fairly well in urban and high-density foliage maps. The problem only occurs where helis have cover to balloon near, such as mountains, and no foliage or buildings to worry about ( Red Desert is a great example of a good heli map).
But the easiest heli counter are planes, and so I really wish they would reduce the SP cost of only A-2-A fighter aircraft from 480SP to something like 200SP or 300SP.
This would also help against multi-purpose Aircraft like Rafale and Su-30SM spam too.
And what’s going to stop me from taking a plane as first spawn and kill some tanks with guns?
Good luck doing that reliably at top tier.
At least with Mauser BK27, it’s pretty simple.
For sure. The mauser BK27 is pretty good, though with how many lethal SPAAs and proxy + IRST IFVs there are at top tier, I’m not too sure if it would be a huge issue.
Though if it is a big problem, I think making a belt made out of only HEF and make its AP ammo cost SP would be good. (I’m not sure if Gaijin would bother)

Maybe 200SP or 300SP is too cheap, but I think 480 SP is too much for it to be worth-while.
This might make GRB a safe heaven for fighter jocks that are looking for marker-less A2A action without dozens of planes buzzing around them in any given time. Might backfire really hard.
