A2G weapon reloads for air assets should cost SP, complete with the increased scaling. It’s very simple.
What about modeling the helicopter blade movement in their radar signature? That’d be pretty nice alongside these two. Buff to IIR missile capability to engage choppers and buff to ARH missile capability to engage choppers.
IRIS-T also only uses the IR head in the final approach, and it’s specifically meant to be highly resistant if not immune to to it. In game it’s so good, every plane, tank, and heli would use it if it was this good. And then missiles would be unuseable.
I agree with this, LMUR is simply too strong to not have any penalty with each resupply, SAMs can only resupply once while helicopters can do it infinitely. Draining SP until you can’t resupply anymore is a good way to balance it out.
Helipads need a rework as well, we really need some type of logistics for helicopters.
It may be possible but you will never prove it actually, i have a friend who spoke with Russian Berkuts (picture below) and they said what Mi-28NM’s can not carry any kind of guided munition on the inside pylons. I will never prove on bug report what 8 LMUR’s isnt right cause of lack of info and evidence but still, i have more trust to actual soldiers than Dev’s with double standarts.
8 Igla’s on Ka-52 is also doesn’t true btw, it can carry only 2 on each wing (total of 4 instead of 8)
And we may never will (lets hope so)… becous IRL LMUR’s don’t work as they do in WT. IRL they’re fired at a point and the gunner slect the target at the terminal phase. Atlese this what we know from the infro and videos.
IRL in the “conflict that shall not be nadem”, LMUR’s are used against fixed positions, not single MBTs/IFVs like in the game… there are more cost-effective methods to deal with the later targets (FPV drones). Thus the loadout of the Mi-28 is mostly with 2-4 LMUR missiles, becous theyre missions dont require more.
If the “confilct” escalate (I hope not) and we see a large tank/ifv columns/formations… we may see a loadout of 8 or more LMUR missiles.
Make helicopter blades actually give a radar return, so they cannot hover with impunity against radar missiles.
Seriously, they have a sci-fi anti-ir missile shield, and they’re ludicrously difficult to guide radar missiles to. How anyone can claim this is balanced or in any way good gameplay for anyone apart from the guy in the helicopter is beyond me.
That or (probably more fair) make it cost SP to keep resupplying.
This would also be the case for aircraft too.
Would reward good aircraft players with the ability to keep using their CAS, but also makes it so that they can’t keep gaining SP, and won’t be able to keep using the weaponry if they underperform.
I think SPAAs going for conquest / domination mode capture points to rearm is quite risky, and so it shouldn’t cost the equivalent SP.
However, for the battle mode capture points, I think that would be reasonable.
Something like that, I don’t remember the original poster of the idea, but draining spawn points depending on the weapon is a good way to calculate it imo.
I’d love to see some type of logistics applied to helipads, like you can rearm for a set number of times, and you are forced to retreat to the one further away or back to the airfield. It’s a rough draft in my mind but I can see it working.
True, they also don’t track some target perfectly. And even better, they’re used against soft and lightly armored targets. Because they’re not ATGMs, at all.
I switched back to playing USA and grabbed the AH-64E. Spent some time grinding for the IR JAGM to join the ATGM + DIRCM conga line, and holy f, these new helis are broken. After unlocking the IR JAGM I’m sitting on a ~10 K/D (about 40 kills, 4 deaths). If you pop up, and fire, AA pretty much can’t touch you. I’ve even been hunting Pantsir with it.
The only real threat is enemy planes, and with the new AAs choking the sky that’s getting rarer. I can’t help but wonder how many more kills I’d have if JAGM had LMUR’s flight profile with their near 90° top-down angle of attack.(Quite a few of my JAGM failed to inflict damage due to their poor angle of attack or outright failed to connect because of an obstacle)
(7 of these deaths were before the fire and forget missiles)
The people defending this mess are even more insane/scared to lose their OP heli than I first thought.
Considering LMUR has been in service since Syria and we have seen major tank offensives at both Kursk and Robotyne and the LMUR was absent. Almost like the Ka-52M with Vikhrs is a better tank killer.
Which begs the question what can or does this missile do?
I have seen it used against a water pumping plant, a building where it was guided through a window but never against a fast moving target in FnF mode every time the helicopter has had to hover while the missile is guided in and that is due to the DL.
Ultimately LMUR is not that good it’s Russia first real attempt at a missile that is somewhat fire and forget. Which just goes to show far behind the West they really are.
