If we aren’t gonna get a brimstone harrier, at least we could get this abomination.
It is a bad aircraft
Obviously, the F16 will be way more effective in everything than a pantsir.
Most Pantsir players are braindead anyway.
They are not, you can’t just turn away while firing a Vikhr, with the Brimstones you can and spaa will not hit you while doing so.
While the EF flight model got huge nerfs, it’s still way better than the SU34, idk about the SU30, haven’t played the EF a lot last few weeks.
They are bad aircraft compared to their opposition, there’s little to argue there (for the context of GRB). If that means they need the KH-38MT is up for debate, I personally don’t really care.
The F-16C is spawned anyways because the pilot wants to play CAS. It just hard counters the Su-25SM3 on top of that. The Pantsir keeps the F-16C busy, it doesn’t kill it unless the pilot misplays.
The Typhoon has amazing flight performance, the Su-30SM does not. So I don’t really see how it is comparable. The Brimstones work pretty well because they’re mounted to a plane that’s very agile and recovers energy very fast. That sort of playstyle simply doesn’t work with the Su-30SM.
Then where the hell are ASRAAM for air defence and Spear-3s for Ground attack on the Tornado GR4
They are SAL not FnF like the KH-38MT, you have to guide them onto the target still.
No point to, FM is buggy and the radar is unusable
The tornado does feel more pleasant to fly than su 30. At least in my experience, the only gripe compared is the middling weaponry, which I would like to see improved significantly. Whether or not it’s balanced, brimstones suck for convoys. But also, it is at a lower BR.
Again, I really dont get this argument, the SU-30SM is not a brick. I love how Soviets love to claim its a brick but it really isnt.
It would do fine with KH-29s and be perfectly competitive.
Typhoon being denied its ACTUAL AGMs because its got a good FM is such a joke. If the soviets had an equal FM they would still argue they should have KH-38MTs. WHICH NEVER EXISTED
By itself, not a brick. Compared to the other stuff you’re competing with, it is quite brick-ly. But at the same time, if you got close enough for that to matter I would wager there were issues before that point. It also does feel quite rubbish turning around for a second attack run on a ground target if you’re using anything rocket-adjacent.
Like I said, anything between 12.0 and 13.0 might as well be 13.0. (11.7 to 12.7 until the BR changes come in)
It makes no difference.
I’ve been playing my 11.7 lineup at the moment, with The Tornado GR1, every single match im encountering Typhoons, Rafales and Su-30SMs. It makes no difference that its an 11.3 aircraft.
And if there is a Pantsir and I have PGMs, I cant do anything anyway because the Pantsir just shoots them all down long before they even get close to the target.
Relevant to ground, I would put the tornadoes down in BR.
But relevant to air, makes sense the armament is worse compared to the BR placement. Though I would probably bring the payload much closer to su 34 than it currently is. I can only really comment on air modes air to ground rubbish, I find ground to be insufferable on account of them refusing to fix the initial freezing on Linux when you get into a ground match.
Id rather give the Tornado GR4 its missing ASRAAM and FnF Brimstone 1s or SAL Brimstone 2s and actually have a reason to use it over the Typhoon than to drop it down to 12.0 to justfiy its current loadout. Would need to be 11.7 before it was worthy of its current loadout
Compared to what? Typhoon and Rafale (also F-15E and F-16C, but that’s less relevant I suppose) bleed significantly less speed in turns and accelerate better. So yes, compared to them the Su-30SM is a brick, or at least becomes one after one turn. That’s not suitable at all for the Brimstone gameplay that requries you to stay low and turn a lot. After the first two turns the Su-30SM goes 800 kph and then takes half a minute to get back up to speed.
It’s balancing. Also there isn’t really anything they could add that’s not gamebreaking unless I’m missing something.
I don’t disagree, but I also don’t see Tornadoes getting any of their snazzy kit in the forseeable future. Except for maybe storm shadow?
So lets give the Su-30SM a fake weapon because it turns a little worse than a Typhoon
But give the Typhoon a variant of the Brimstone it never used and then nerf that variant into an unrecognisable state
BRIMSTONE 2
THE BRIMSTONE IT ACTUALLY USED
Again. Why does the Su-30 need a paper weapon that NOTHING is even close to matching in terms of performance, with equals like the Brismtone 2 and AGM-84 SLAM not added to the game AND to the same nation with the ONLY truly effective top tier SPAA.
Nah, we wont get Storm Shadow.
I had a thought that something is wrong. I’m just tired…
But they could add the thing wrong and upset both the French and English, which means we’re certain to get it at some point.
You’re mixing up two lines for reasoning there, if the Su-30SM “needs” the KH-38MT is disconnected from how realistic that weapon is.
Sure, maybe that would work, but they’re probably just saving it up for later, it’s not like there’s many things that can be added left. The Brimstone I also does pretty well already from what I’ve seen.
Not because it’s good, that’s for sure.
Hu?
What about Brimstone 3 and Spear-3?
Let alone adding MMW and then LOAL
That is the worst argument I have ever seen.
And what is there to add after KH-38?
Dont confuse the Brimstone 1 being a “good” weapon with mostly German Pilots who have made the Tornado ASSTA1 work for the past 2 years against Pantsirs, and ARH CAP with only GBUs doing well in the Typhoon with largely the same weapon.
Britain and Italy also still have a lot of latent experience doing the same.
Personally I prefer just running PW4s on the Typhoon, I find the Brimstone 1s more hassle than its worth, especially as they rarely 1 hit kill.
Just as a final nail in the coffin, They are even denying the Brimstone 1 its IRL kinematic performance (Report)
Kh 50(?), Kh 55, Kh 47, Kh 32, and Kh 101 maybe?
I think I lost a few numbers. We could get cluster bombs too. Those would be neat. Also the thingos the Tupolev bomber carries on the silly rotating drum. Which I may have listed but I am unsure of.
