The Kh-38MT may not actually exist

Still no answer from the team?
Have you messaged Smin to ask for a response?

What I find funny and somewhat disappointing at the same time, is when I (or others) ping the team with genuine and valid questions, we often don’t get an answer (or get told “our consultant says otherwise” or “The Russian tech mod says it’s not true”) …

Yet, if I ping them to look at a meme or a joke (which I seldom do BTW), I get an answer within minutes …

Just something basic along the lines of “if I get something I can share, I’ll share it”.

I can sort of understand the occasional ping getting lost, a lot of ppl ping the team, but they definitely know about this thread and multiple ppl have pinged them for an answer, so they definitly arent missing the pings, they’re choosing not to answer. No clue if thats cuz they dont intend to ever answer or if its just that they haven’t made a decision yet.

As far as I can tell, they have no other info aside from what I’ve provided though. If they did, they could’ve killed this thread ages ago by just posting the evidence I requested.

Would be nice if they took the time to confirm they were looking into it and deliberating though, instead of giving us the silent treatment and giving us good reason to believe they just wanted to ignore the problem until it goes away…

lol see my point exactly, my post gets removed, yours aren’t… this system is so rigged

They can’t admit they were wrong

It ultimately boils down to this. They don’t want to face the backlash or the humiliation of admitting to doing something potentially malicious, such as adding this weapon to the game without the necessary sources.

if they werent malicious all the time it wouldnt be as bad
now they cant disclose anything without backlash because of it

Well, someone needs to be held accountable for the headaches this weapon has been giving everyone for a year.

At least the dev(s) that said “we believe this to be a clear marketing lie” came forward to clarify what they truly meant. We need someone at Gaijin to speak up on this situation, otherwise they don’t have a shred of remorse or integrity anymore.

Yeah… It would be one thing if this was a niche weapon that no one cared about, like if it turned out that fireflash never existed or something.

But its another when its literally the most complained about weapon of all time (or at least the last year)

Have you considered that maybe your “opinions” getting the reactions they do isnt because you are defending Kh-38MT, or because of what you main

but because of content of your opinions? Like implying missile with objectively worse stats is better than Kh-38MT because…?

I never implied or said that one time. The KH-38 is the best. But… at the same rate, if there was 8 instead of 6, vs say 18 brimstones, in total, the KH-38 is less effective.

A single 1:1 ? No. KH38 is better.

I don’t think I can say it any clearer than that, nor has my opinion changed at all.

You have said exactly that though:

So much of the last 600 posts are whataboutism tantrums.

Kh-38MT’s existence is still in limbo.

Don’t what about to another weapon, double down on your initial stances instead.

Kronstadt exists and that was pure paperwork.

geniunely useless example, naval is known to follow seperate rules for addition

no it isnt, because naval is given extra leeway to allow more countries to actually have usable top ships instead of just RN, USN, IJN, and Kriegsmarine like it should be

im not saying i agree with it but its how it is for naval

I have question, and please answer honestly. Why are you doing this?

You already said

And weve already estabilished that Kh-38MT is better than Brimstones, something even you admitted

So now you literally circled back to where we were.

Again, as you yourself said, fact that more Brimstones can be carried when compared to Kh-38MTs doesnt make Brimstones inherently better.

My god…

Sus? U accused me of things that didnt even happen xDD but when i replied u backed off TWICE without any further response where i asked for so called “evidence”

u should be the last person to callout people

explain or not they’ll face humiliation regardless but maybe admit their mistake might be less or prove that weapon was real so they can get away with it without backlash.

Like I said before, I dont think its necessarily fair to say the Kh-38MT was a “clear” marketing lie. I did do a LOT of digging before I came to the conclusion it likely never operationally existed, chasing every single mention of it down to their inevitable source, the old marketing brochures/outdated online catalogue entries from KTRV/ROE, and there still is a slim possibility gaijin has info we don’t publicly have.

Id say their handling of the situation following the creation of this thread is more the issue. I can understand and to some degree excuse a mistake like putting a a variant (MT) that never existed of a missile that did(Kh-38ML) when there are “official” numbers for the missile variant on a brochure.

What I find much less excusable though is them not making a single announcement about the situation. No official “we’re looking into it, hold tight”, no “here is proof that it was operationally tested that the OP (me) did not find”, nothing. Just dead silence.

Its both suspicious, and insulting.

Gaijins now infamous response to a bug report that the EFT should be able to supercruise at M1.5 as per multiple sources from the makers of the jet was that, in gaijins opinion, this was “a clear marketing lie”. Dedale is poking fun at the fact that gaijin wont take the manufacturers of the EFT at face value on claims for a jet that very much does exist, but seems to have gotten dupped by what seems to be marketing material for a missile that never actually existed beyond mockups and brochures.
