The Kh-38MT may not actually exist

I never implied or said that one time. The KH-38 is the best. But… at the same rate, if there was 8 instead of 6, vs say 18 brimstones, in total, the KH-38 is less effective.

A single 1:1 ? No. KH38 is better.

I don’t think I can say it any clearer than that, nor has my opinion changed at all.

You have said exactly that though:

So much of the last 600 posts are whataboutism tantrums.

Kh-38MT’s existence is still in limbo.

Don’t what about to another weapon, double down on your initial stances instead.

Kronstadt exists and that was pure paperwork.

geniunely useless example, naval is known to follow seperate rules for addition

no it isnt, because naval is given extra leeway to allow more countries to actually have usable top ships instead of just RN, USN, IJN, and Kriegsmarine like it should be

im not saying i agree with it but its how it is for naval

I have question, and please answer honestly. Why are you doing this?

You already said

And weve already estabilished that Kh-38MT is better than Brimstones, something even you admitted

So now you literally circled back to where we were.

Again, as you yourself said, fact that more Brimstones can be carried when compared to Kh-38MTs doesnt make Brimstones inherently better.

My god…

Sus? U accused me of things that didnt even happen xDD but when i replied u backed off TWICE without any further response where i asked for so called “evidence”

u should be the last person to callout people

explain or not they’ll face humiliation regardless but maybe admit their mistake might be less or prove that weapon was real so they can get away with it without backlash.

Like I said before, I dont think its necessarily fair to say the Kh-38MT was a “clear” marketing lie. I did do a LOT of digging before I came to the conclusion it likely never operationally existed, chasing every single mention of it down to their inevitable source, the old marketing brochures/outdated online catalogue entries from KTRV/ROE, and there still is a slim possibility gaijin has info we don’t publicly have.

Id say their handling of the situation following the creation of this thread is more the issue. I can understand and to some degree excuse a mistake like putting a a variant (MT) that never existed of a missile that did(Kh-38ML) when there are “official” numbers for the missile variant on a brochure.

What I find much less excusable though is them not making a single announcement about the situation. No official “we’re looking into it, hold tight”, no “here is proof that it was operationally tested that the OP (me) did not find”, nothing. Just dead silence.

Its both suspicious, and insulting.

Gaijins now infamous response to a bug report that the EFT should be able to supercruise at M1.5 as per multiple sources from the makers of the jet was that, in gaijins opinion, this was “a clear marketing lie”. Dedale is poking fun at the fact that gaijin wont take the manufacturers of the EFT at face value on claims for a jet that very much does exist, but seems to have gotten dupped by what seems to be marketing material for a missile that never actually existed beyond mockups and brochures.

This question remind me of the issue about ZTZ99A 's turret armor. The lower part of its turret armor have an incorrect ke data. But the reporter said that we must prove that the part of the armor exist. According to this logic, Gaijin also should prove that kh38mt actually exists. If they can’t, they should remove it.

Maybe it’s time to make a bug report?

Ive already been told a bug report is not the way to handle this by gaijin staff. The thread is the best way to handle it allegedly, which makes me all the more angry there hasn’t been any official statement.

There are a couple.

Of the two I’ve seen, one was closed with “not a bug” and the other was being ignored.

Yea, they’re sitting on a burning gunpowder box.

I think I’ll wait another week or two and then start reopening/refiling bug reports using this situation as a precedent. Maybe we could collab with some highly autistic guys as well.

Idk, im torn on the subject. Im unsure if bothering gaijin more about it will get them to reply, or if they are just truly awful at public relations but are working/deciding how to handle the situation and bothering them more will just make them angry about the situation and less reasonable.

I do think you greatly overestimate the amount of rat asses they give about this situation.

Trying to be optimistic, but im 99% convinced they’re trying to let the situation die.

The fact its been 2+ weeks and they havent provided evidence despite knowing of the thread likely means they dont have evidence beyond the brochures and mockup pics.

The fact they havent shut the thread down is likely cuz shutting it down with no reason would be an admission of fault on their end, and would likely fan the flames.

Without a big CC bringing it up, the whole situation is largely contained to the forums, with the exception of a few ppl with little outreach posting it here and there. The thread/poll is big, very big for being made by someone with little to no outreach like me, but its still easily manageable if nobody starts to make it public to the rest of the WT community.
