The Kh-38MT may not actually exist

get some email host with a legitimate sounding name and email ktrv about the kh-38mt

last time a while back it was like 20km, though im not sure if thats a game limitation, or if its based on the pod being used. We have way better ones since I remember playing with range limits. I think I was testing KH29TD on su39, remember trying to see if it actually hit anything at the stated 30km range and finding out nothing rendered past like 20km.

If its still like that than range on missiles is kinda a pointless stat and velocity trumps everything.

It was changed last major update. Was 20km prior now its 30km

I mostly agree. Though a missile with good range usually will also have good sustained speed at the shorter ranges.

I.E Brimstone 2 should be much faster at shorter ranges

We have a whole RU community, pretty surprised this discussion didnt spill over to the .ru forums, searching x-38 they didnt really talk much about it.

It did. The spill over was posted early on in the discussion but even then it didn’t go anywhere.

still is

With the same results as over here I am certain.

SALH is quite strong irl though. That’s why Kh-38ML works, have an Orlan drone paint and then launch at standoff distance

Yeah… No arguments here that’s why laser guided ordnance is as popular as it is. What does this have to do with not even the RU forum finding evidence?

there wont be any proof

No proof that the IR seeker has 25x zoom, no proof of 3rd gen thermals, no proof it can track moving targets, no proof of it being tested.

Still enough evidence for Gaijin to implement it!

This is what started MythicPI looking into this, given the size of the warhead, range etc, there is every chance the IR version was only intended to operate with Terminal guidance similar to that of the Storm Shadow or AASM and not actually engage anything smaller than a building.

So on top of proving the IR seeker existed, would be good to get proof the IR seeker was even intended for Anti-Tank work

I disagree.

But hey, I’m not the majority, or a non RU main, so apparently my opinion doesn’t matter, according to the rest of you. I would love to see the game be balanced off of you guys, it would be hellacious

the thing is we arent looking for opinions, we are looking for evidence

there is a big difference

Stop acting like a victim. Ppl dont take your opinion seriously because you dont actually back up any of your claims with any reliable sources.

You cant just say you disagree with the Kh-38MT likely never having existed operationally, provide no good reason as to why you disagree, then get angry when ppl don’t think your opinion is worth the pixels you’ve used to convey it.

If the ppl who believe the Kh-38MT to have existed in an operational capacity would have provided any real proof of their claim, this thread would have closed rather quickly, but you havent, and ppl are tired of it.

we are looking for evidence to prove whether the Kh-38MT ever existed

not at all looking for opinions such as that

That poll is literally an opinion, based off OP’s opinion no?

No all sources site the 38ML present for that not the MT. And every source points to them only using MLs nothing about an MT other than saying it was advertised as a option.

You literally changed my words from “a form of it weapons to: “on jets”
