Sukhoi Su-27/30/33/35/37 Flanker series & Su-34 Fullback - History, Design, Performance & Dissection (Part 1)

Multiengine control is still broken
Model still needs fixing
Radar still displays wrong search zone values (only a text problem)
3D texture is rough

Su-33 looks cleaner than it for christ sake

A condition slider for planes would be great

This report was closed with note “This information is outdated”.

Spoiler

The source is a snapshot of Sukhoi’s website from 2022-03-07.
And given that it’s from the manufacturer, it’s a primary source.

Can you please mention what is the more up-to-date primary source that you are using?

Is there perhaps a picture of the aircraft showing eight R-77 missiles?

Or is this infographic by “Sputnik” by any chance the source?

Spoiler

If that’s the case this is not a proper source, since:

1- It’s a secondary source, and even worse, if you look at the bottom, the information is sourced from websites such as “newsweek.com”.

2- It’s from 2015.

3- It has obvious errors (Look at which pylons the R-77 missiles occupy in the chart).

4- It provides the old fake number for maximum speed.

5- It shows the fictional rear-facing radar.

Do you have another primary source, more up-to-date and credible than the 2022 snapshot of the Sukhoi website? Perhaps a picture?

They have their own source, i hope they dont use websites of the manifactor , as the Infos given in those are generic, not specific enough, like in the regards of the performance data, but using logic,
I can see the 8 R-77 being, of the pylons are already present if not, then no, It isn’t a posssible config.

Watch them remove the 2 extra R-77 on underwing pylons of Su-34 and then slap them between engines

Interesting that they marked that one report specifically as outdated while ignoring the other reports. Seems there may actually be newer sources/information proving the report wrong while they didn’t have any evidence for your other reports to be wrong.

Unfortunately they changed the website so it doesn’t even show who closed the report …

I really hope that they do in fact have an actual source.
If they say their source is the Sputnik infographic it will be hilarious …

What is the source of this image?

Not sure how authentic these are, but seems like the gun ammo is off too? (In game it’s 180)

@_Fantom2451 @BBCRF @ID_Heaven Are the red ones supposed to be inert?

I’m assuming they inferred that if R-27s can be mounted underneath the engine nacelles then R-77s can too.

Though the issue remains:

There are only six radar guided air to air missiles in the picture.

FCS might be limited to six R-77s or six radar guided missiles …

Do you know why in that picture the R-27ER seeker head is a flat cone and not curved?

Oh, it is a P then. Are there any in service or is it just advertisement fluff?

Because inert
