The game has became less about who is better and has instead became about who is faster to the kill

My experience with props have been…

Take off at 24:45
Your team mows the lawn with bombs strapped to their planes and meets the enemy at around 21:45
You and a small group are climbing off to the side.
You have a battle with the enemy climbers
The guys lawnmowing all die (or the enemy lawnmowers all die)
Match is over with you only getting time for 1 short skirmish.

This changes if nobody else climbs on your team ('merica, f yeah") since I’m nowhere good enough to fight multiple opponents at altitude forcing a more methodical play which means the lawnmowers die even faster making the odds even worse.

I gave up flying america around “our cas is best” WW2 BRs and just went to sim for my fill of f4u-4 and mustangs.

Yes, or moreso that I know what I can see in front of me and people have a tendancy to lie on the internet, especially when they are so emotional they can’t just stop playing a game when they stop having fun.

The quoting system on the forums really isn’t great is it.

And you don’t think I think the same of you and of my own opinion?

my experience is that earth is flat. the experiences of astronauts shouldn’t invalidate my personal experiences and feelings.

Except there is nothing giving him more credentials.

he doesn’t need to be a nasa astronaut this is war thunder mate

I don’t think you understand? Your example paints me as a caveman and him as a genius when in reality there is nothing that gives him more say me.

you being wrong and him being right is what makes you look like the caveman that you said you are.

You aren’t capable of deciding who’s right. Especially since your track record is you’ve never been right once since I’ve seen you show up here on the website. You have a chip on your shoulder and are aggressive with everyone you type to. You won’t make friends or earn anybody’s respect acting like a child.

you are using personal attacks while saying that i am the aggressive one. personal attacks are against the forum tos.
if you want to argue follow the tos. personal attacks arent arguing.

I’m sure you do, especially since you felt so compelled to come to the forums and make a post complaining about it. You are very well allowed to, as am I.

Incorrect. You started with this.

It’s largely the planes. An airplane like a MiG-21S, is too bad with it’s weapons. While an A-10 has AIM-9L. In a vacuum this is fine, but it also ruins furballs. Which is how toothless planes are meant to get kills.

Everyone recognizes the issue, they say not to buy the 21S, it’s a scavenger. But actually it’s, try and shoot an R-3R, then realize the target is a Mirage. You can dodge everything you are dead from that second.

A lot of the FM’s are really bad too; the 21 has a much lower average speed than a MiG-17. So really it’s an extremely bad plane. It can only fly straight. I think a lot of planes are like this.

Gaijin’s FM’s are awful, their balance is awful, this is why the game ends so fast.

Well that and you can’t really furball a plane that’s about 15-20% better than the real thing. (entire US tree)

its all about the grind im afraid. People are just trying to grind as fast as they can to move on.

In my opinion, this is a cultural and game design issue. Gaijin’‘s’ F2P model incentivises the grind. Air RB exists to be grinded. Sim is forgotten except to be grinded and cheesed. Why play for the team when the only rewards I get are for kills, base destructions (of which you can share, btw), and ground targets destroyed? You getting a kill means less points for me.

Air Battles need developing. The whole game needs more developing, which I can forgive them because supposedly they’re still cooking up World War Battles, but surely they can also do a little for everything else besides more vehicles?

Some ideas I had after first seeing your post was, especially for top tier, is with even small matches is maybe team rewards. I think one of the greatest things they did was the fact that if someone finishes off someone you damaged you get credit, but like, that’s how actual air battles also work where you and your wingmate are going to be Fox’ing the same bandit because that’s a threat. Everyone should share in the bounty. Bases and ground targets should be removed except from specific game modes of which the default should be something like "Intercept’ where the whole point is one team is intercepting the other team or something. If your team wins you get the bonus, if you don’t then you don’t, either way everyone gets a fair share of the reward based on contributions or something because obviously people climbing to space should get less than people who did something. Also, if most people are trying to AFK farm or something then your team will get like no kills and you wont get anything anyway.

Also, I wish they could figure out how to implement maneuver kills, which also is a point idk how they will do any of the stuff I suggested, that’s a lot. I would imagine the first step is developing a way for the engine to know when you’re actually engaged with another player.

Also, Pilots should talk. They should have voice lines. Tank crews get voice lines, I want to hear more pilots doing coms and combat air control. I think it would be great to have for sim to allow for better communications since I don’t think we’re ever getting VOIP which is fine but give us something.

leaves no way for any plane that isn’t a purebred fighter to exist

Yeah, make strikers/bombers even more useless than they already are.

A lot of the problems would become better by having less players per match. In pretty much every single mode Gaijin crams as many players as they can on the smallest maps possible. Maybe Gaijin thinks that the average player’s attention span is too short for anything that isn’t a “16 vs. 16 inside a phonebooth” clown show.

I think you’re missing the part where a 16 v 16 furball of MiG-21S’ is still playable, but add 2 A-10’s and it’s suddenly not.

100% agree on this for MANY years now.
