The F3H has become a cancer of its Br

Yeah.
And then people saw for themselves, how OP it is.
Which is why they keep spamming it.
We already have/had stuff like this with the preium SU-30’s and the IRIAF.

Not sure about you.
For me, the demon is a nice frag farmer.
Since you can almost always find a target for the missiles (enemies cant be just hugging the deck all day, which is what I talked about)

I found it to be a similar situation as the aim54.

People who were used to afk climbing until contact got smacked. Gives a lot of free kills.

Yeah, you do need to take account for the guidance delay.
Usually 6-7 km head on and about 2 km when chasing.
It also depends a bit on the altitude.

But I still find them more reliable than aim-9’s which can be shaken off with unguided rockets.

Eh, i would personally take the aim9d over the aim7c. Aim9j vs aim7c depends on the airframe.

And it becomes no aspect and no range if target doesnt just fly mindlessly at altitude. T2 has pdv radar to spot low flying targets btw, hdn one tho. So it has more chances to spot you in a demon.

Even if they decide to go ffars, T2 has much better engines and vulcan. It will glue to you until you are dead. Or disengage at will, you will never catch it. Also this flaring requires you to know that missile is launched at you (try to do that in sim for example).

Mostly bombers and oblivious climbers. Or people fighting smb else so you can sneak in your missile. I played it too post buff.

I was referring more to the fakour.

Their speed was the main oppressive factor.
Not to mention that in its prime, it saw loads of jets with iffy RWR’s.
Another factor was the unreliability of multipathing.
Which quite similarly, forced the enemy team into a worse position.

This guy has active radar missiles. Facing an aircraft with a rating of 9.3 that uses only infrared missiles without chaff or flares, he has a remarkable advantage.:0

I tried them out in the F-8U.
Didnt like them.
Especially due to the fixed seeker.

Felt much less capable.
Especially when I’ve met a few T-2 players, which deployed FFAR, making the 9D’s useless.

I dont think you know what active radar missile means

f3h the only thing that is a cancer on the game is the company that makes it gaijin is a scam company trying to get all the money from your wallet

Cool. And?
The T-2 gains barely anything from its radar, since it doesn’t have the missiles to complement it.

Just look around lol.
Early IR missiles are mostly a threat to those with tunnelvision.
Vulcan feels worse, imo.
Worse velocity. Worse spread.
Meh.

You’ve just described 90% of available targets.

Sounds like they dont fit your playstyle.

They fit my favorite type of playstyle of ambush/stealth. My favorite missiles tend to be stuff that follow that, r27et, aim9d, r40td. Stuff that gives no warning and allow me to hit stuff further out than the usual IR missiles around them. Means people are not checking for IR shots from that far out.

The 40td’s give more leeway in picking your targets.
The 9D’s - not so much

Compared to the targets the aim9d fights, it is still a good advantage. Much larger range vs the usual aim9e, aim9j, r60.

The point is that you have a sizable range advantage compared to the other IRs around you. I love using that advantage more than something like higher G overload.

Ok.
Maybe I’ll revisit the F-8 a bit later.

post got flagged but yea sparrow buff has nuked that BR lol

The issue with using them is getting a feel for the range.

I try to fire them out near the edge of their effective range. Assuming you positioned correctly, they will either not notice you or ignore it assuming that the missile wont have the energy to hit.

Fair enough. I mostly used them to just bait people into the guns

Honestly, also a fair strategy.

Accidentally replied to you specifically but people are overreacting about the plane at least in my opinion

10.0 is too high, for something that slow and can usually only fire them at people at equal or higher height and still isn’t completely unavoidable

You can still avoid it unless in a very poor turn plane that is up high, or preemptively turn expecting the missile to be fired, or just be low enough relative to him that he can’t lock you in the first place

Yeah this plane alone now annoyingly changes how you play this rating forcing you to go lower in height somewhat, but people should try some counterplah
