Team killing policy - follow up thread

and thats the thing. they disabled team damage for ground forces, because it was abused too heavily, showing that its just a simple on/off switch. they can turn it off, they can disable all the headaches. if the work becomes too administrative, it shows they got the willingness to drop friendly fire. this simply means that its not abused beavily enough in air rb, and we simply have to step up our game.

if this is the game gaijin wants us to play to make them listen to us, then we will beat them to it. i promise you. disable friendly fire from air rb. make it a simulator special. your game wont suffer under it. you will have less complaints to deal with, leaving the developers open to put more work in actually advancing the game, than wasting everybody’s time in coming up with a redundant mechanic to punish players, for breaking a rule, that you purposefully allow them to break.

this madness of illogical thinking has to stop. humans can be logical creatures. you dont have to adhere to stupidity. stop trying to stick with dumb mechanics that just dont work.

Reminds me of one time I was chasing someone in a prop 1v1 and just when I was about to nuke the guy out of the sky, a teammate came from above and tried to steal the kill. Not only did he fail at that, but in the process of converging to get behind the guy he “landed” flat on my plane and killed us both. Totally preventable, just no sign of activity in the frontal lobe

Exactly. Most teamkills ARE “accidents” but they do something stupid where the risk of a teamkill is so high that you really can’t call it an accident

…and dumb down the game instead?

Having to ID targets and actively prevent blue-on-blue is part of warfare. It IS a challenge, but it’s actually also part of the fun, being challenged that way in the game environment.

It’s not just a point&click game, but point&think&click. Removing team damage completely would take this away, I personally think.

Air arcade exists with no TKing for those that cannot figure out that missiles do not have a built in IFF

Not even a risk at this point, the collision is purely certain. I am convinced that some of the players in this game simply don’t think at all when they play

Or just most of the players in this game don’t think at all. I’ve noticed it’s usually people in a chinese or Russian plane, and is usually a Chinese username so if that doesn’t keep the stereotype running then I don’t know what does, but recently I got teamkilled 7 times in 12 hours and they were usually american players

I mostly see premium players doing that kind of stuff, these guys really turn off their brain to grind I swear, no matter the nation. Though the ones grinding USA, USSR and China are the worst because that’s what the wide majority of randoms play

Logical thinking has nothing to do with being able to follow the rules.

Your request looks like that you want to lower established standards as certain people are either not able or willing to follow the rules or standards.

Regarding “stupidity”:

You are actually surrounded often by plain stupid people - no matter which and how many degrees they have - as other people had the glorious idea that certain people - whilst being less smart on average - need degrees too.

That’s why (on average) more or less all degrees have lost a large chunk of their academic value as the degrees became way easier to get.

Regarding “dumb mechanics”:

The game has a lot of bugs and downsides - and a lot of of actual dumb mechanics like the wrong “guilt allocation” during aircraft collisions (guy who got rammed is marked as team killer) - but team kills in general are based on players doing the wrong thing.

I know I did this last time, but this time it is actually not my fault,t unlike last time with the entire revenge TK thing. But this time, Ie I got a TK because some guy in a bomber dived on the same thing I was shooting and flew in front of my line of fire and then crashed. (even though he was already gonna crash thanks to the trajectory he was on)

the proof is at the end of the replay near where i got killed all i ask is that the TK system is edited so that stuff like this doesn’t punish players for essentially wrong place wrong time

A good example of DELIBERATE teamkilling is in this battle - rammed me 4 times … watch Minkju
Breached 4 game play rules (maybe 5 - counting the ramming as 1 breach, not 4), and how he rammed shows he has done this many times before.
