Talking about bombers

imo, thats not even that big of a deal, its the artificially induced weapon spread for most turrets and dealing with the paralax caused by the angle. Removing that weapon spread and allowing for first person aiming of turrets would be a notable and yet fair buff

i would love to have a first person view on the gunners it

someone finally says it.
forced third person aiming just screws you over by constantly changing your paralax.
But most bombers don’t struggle reaching a base, people just say bombers can’t reach bases because they don’t even try to climb or avoid obvious interception paths, the real problem comes after the bomb drop, bombers don’t like droppin +5km of altitude to rearm and then try to make another run while slow, slow and probably hunted down from +5 minutes of descent beforehand.
We don’t want a bomber to remove too much tickets at one pass, people will complain about it, Instead make them a passive ticket drainer by making them reload midair. It could go like this:
1- You spawn
2- choose a smart route to your target
3- Keep wary of your surroundings
4- approach and drop your bombs on target
5- turn back
6- fly all the way back to a mid-air rearm point
7- repeat

fighters/interceptors/air defense will ensure air superiority and hunt down bombers if they wish early on.

Strike planes will be a super risky but aggressive ticket drainers.

Bombers will start as slow ticket drain. Since most bombers can only destroy bases max and 1 bases drains as much tickets as 2 trucks or howitzers .

This does have one flaw though, usually if you take a more defensive route, there might be nothing left too bomb. Its a major flaw at all BRs, but really felt at the lower BRs.

maybe if bases didn’t take like take like 7 minutes to respawn would be nice.
most normal battles bases respawn around 12 minutes left on the clock.

that or jsut make the forward AF into a modular AF like we have in ASB, though a total overhaul of how bases work would be nice, a lot of really good suggestions for this previously submitted. Even just mini versions of the deep strike event. They could make them far more engaging and dynamic targets, whilst also fixing the major gameplay flaw

But yeah, even just reducing the interval from 5 minute to 3 would be pretty huge too

We can even add an “ammo depot” module, destroy it and no more AA.

Yeah, though if it was the forward AF, it doesnt have those anyway. But Im interseted to see how SEAD is going to be incorporated into ARB/ASB (if it is)

Tornado GR4 with 7x ALARM could be quite an interesting thing to unleash in ARB on the enemy AF (though less relevant for bomber tiers)

I got one tapped in my B-29 by 30mm today. Apparently a superfortress, not sure what gaijin cooking up here.

the tails as far as i know are still weak

Just aim better bro! hit the fighter before he gets to click on you and if he does just dodge the hail of bullets in your slow bomber

gaijin, plz give TV / visual tracking EEGS to B-29 .

why wont they give similar system what helicopters have?

i present my overall recent experience with 20mm:

Hispano V: many hits. kills are few
Colt Mk.12: takes 3-4 burst to reliably kill
AN/M3: inconsistent between 0 damage or immediate kill

selective realism at its finest

no

AI gunners in my experience are useless, and for most players good aim is not in their vocabulary (Me included for the most part)

if there cancerous to you you either don’t know how to kill them, or you have a hatred against bombers for some unknown reason

Bomber turrets are nearly impossible to use, u get almost no convergence, whereas planes with cannons around 20mm or above can kill u with a few shots from over 1 km since ur a massive target. I only ever reach bases in a B-29 when none of the enemy choose to intercept me

1: It’s a game, fun should be first and then realism, imagine if overnight aphe did the same damage has AP for realism purpuses
2: They do, they start with huge energy advantage and force fighters to get themself in low energy position to shoot them down
3: Players not knowing how to use it doasen’t mean it’s not good, most tiger player just press W and die immediatly, doasent mean the tiger is bad
4: I know how to kill them, but when I am in a yak 3 and their is a bomber at it’s max altituide circling the border of the map, it’s hyper anoying

And it’s not fun for bombers to get one tapped, no one has a problem killing them at all

Energy doesn’t matter in a bomber, u try to dive and ur wings snap off, u turn too hard and ur wings snap off, off someone wants to intercept u they’ll do it with ease

Have u ever played bombers? The majority of them are miserable

So the altitude is the issue now? That’s the only thing protecting a bomber. What, u want it to have an airfield spawn and die instantly or smth?

So the game should be fun to bombers, it isn’t because Gaijin nerfed them to the ground due to fighter players.

1: Most bombers require sustained fire to actually be killed, when I used to play bomber i often survived with 1 less wing
2: Yes it doas, you can very easely be the highest person in the match
3: Yes, last time i played a bomber was a PE 8 and I got 3 kills by just diving down running at the enemy and shooting them with my gunners
4: Yes, it’s extremly anoying to have matchs have 99% of their player die within the first five minute but have the last guy just refuse to do anything

Bombers are never having fun and never will be, they only do it for the reward
Even if bombers got buffed this wouldent change, no one who has every vehicule they want would chose to play a bomber
