I compared the 2 on a bare bones scale of what they have and lack. Type 90 is fine at the BR its at
UE-1 is fine at 12.0 (UE-1 can tank a round or 2, Type 90? refer to my imagee above in this post everything goes through it)
Someone got a premium T-80U-E1 and can’t kill poor 10.7 tanks anymore, E-1 has superior pen/atgms, etc. so if you’re mad about your premium being moved up please research before posting
Then why T-90A at 11.0 and T-72B3 at 11.7 both have 3BM60? Then why T-80U-E1 at 12.0 shouldn’t have it?

Most likely it’s lacking something the UE-1 has (Reverse speed and turret traverse)

Type 90 if you shove it at 12.0 it’ll be stuck with DM33 effectively having the WORSE pen next to the challenger’s stock shell

T-72B3 → 34 degrees
T-80UE-1 → 40 degrees
Actually, yes, they would because T-80BVM at 12.7 is still way better than T-80U-E1 even with better shell and a great upgrade worth researching and playing. T-90M is also way better, but not comparative because it’s purpose is different.
also note premiums are supposed to be a monitised incentive to grind a tree more efficiently, not meant to be a replacement of the tech tree
U-E1 without 3BM60 is NOT fine on 12.0
I guess TK-X (P) shouldn’t be 12.0 then because without the Type 10 120mm APFSDS it cannot perform
This goes down to a skill issue and player error, not the need to get an entire new round

ATGMs in practice are so bad I just don’t use them. They are slow and they always do less damage even than 3BM42. I have that premium for a year I believe and I find it as good as T-80UK, no better. ATGM’s fired fro ma cannon are always shit, specially in top tier compared to APSFDS. For light targets and overpressuring, HE is always way better option. So if ATGM is only thing you can point out, your argument is as useful as light MGs on your tank.
T-80UE-1’s atgm is VERY good especially since its a tandem warhead (ERA/Composites begone moment) compared to the T-80UK’s normal cannon launched ATGM
I’ve never had any issues with the UE-1’s atgm
They share the same horizontal turret speed.

OK, still I don’t see why U-E1 shouldn’t have shells that it CAN carry and that aren’t even the best in the game as there are western tanks with 600mm pen APSFDS at lower BR’s.

Western tanks have way better APSFDS while having way better mobility at lower BRs so your arguments makes no sense.
That’s because one already has all modifications researched.
They share the same maximum value.
